Process was difficult, no onsite representative, no ability to rent addl blankets etc. very clunky. Would not recommend, the electronic no contact process.

First off, the customer service agent at this pick up location was terrible, zero personality and barely said a word. When I asked him if the dolly that I had rented when I booked the truck was in the back, he questioned if I had rented one and then had to go hunt one day for me. Plus he didn’t wheel it to the truck for me, instead just handed it to me for me to do myself. Secondly, the parking in this lots is ridiculous. I had to duck around the rental units to be able to get the dolly into the back of the truck, slipped on mud behind the unit. I had no problem getting the vehicle out but trying to find a spot to park it after I brought it back was impossible. There was a tow truck in the middle of the parking lot and no empty spots to park it so had to park it in front of other vehicles. Thirdly, there was no odometer in the vehicle so had no idea how many miles I had put on the vehicle and when I questioned the place when I called the guy said he had no idea what to tell me. Plus when I told him the tire system light was on and if I should return it, he just said no, there was nothing he could do about it and I could call the maintenance number on the papers I would have received when I picked the unit up. I told him I never received any papers, just the key. And said oh well, just call the maintenance number!!??? I doubt I will ever rent from this place again or U-Haul even though it was the most convenient to move my university daughter.
Arlana KI hated making my reservation for a trailer only to find out that U-Haul would notify me the day before my rental pickup date as to the exact pickup location. How frustrating to not know for sure where and when my car trailer would be available. I drove cross country to pick up my one-way rental not knowing for sure that the trailer would be available and what specific location I would get the trailer at.
Timothy SFirst off, I was overcharged. I rented a $19.99 a day van and put 74 miles on it at $.49 per mile. That comes out to around $57 plus taxes and fees, and I was charged a flat $89.99 with first 100 miles included. Fee was not properly discussed and I really needed the van so I just signed off on it. Gentleman who served me was not pleasant. Also, told me I could drop it off in the morning but got a call at closing time wanting to know where the van was. So I had to email UHaul about what was agreed upon. I’ll use UHaul again but next time I’ll go to a more reputable dealership.

Imagine having to drive 100 miles with a truck that couldn’t not just jump and shake the whole time… gave me extreme back problems and a bad migraine. Very unhappy with the condition the truck was in for the price I was charged.

ROBERT MThe truck that we had was extremely old and felt like it was going to break down several times. It was very rickety, loud and an extremely uneasy ride. It was clean enough but I wouldn’t say it was clean. The shop where I had to go in and pay was extremely tiny and tight and there were six people in there when I got there. I rented from an actual U-Haul spot a few weeks ago and my experience was perfect, truck was new, well-maintained, ran well and was quiet.

Douglas ZThe owner was grumpy, seemed irritated that I was there. I rented a trailer for 10 days. The trailer was in decent shape with the exception the stickers on the trailer were all coming loose. Tires were good and overall function was great. The issue I had was with the owner. When I rented the trailer, he knew when I was returning it but failed to let me know no one was going to be there on my return date. When my brother arrived to drop the trailer off, the facility was closed for the holiday weekend. He dropped the trailer in the lot, took a photo and left. On Tuesday, I received a notice that I was charged a late return fee and an added three days. I called him and he said that we dropped the trailer off in a no parking zone and in front of his door and he had to move the trailer to get in his building. While after looking at the photo, yes the trailer was in front of the door with a yellow curb that you could make out that it said no parking but it in no way impeded him to get into his building. He also said he would not be able to credit the fee since that was all done by UHall. I then called u hall and was asked to send my photo that had a date and time stamp on it and was told the fee would need to be reviewed by management. The three extra days were credited but the late fee was not. I e mailed the manager and he said, “my bad, I did not see the late fee” he then did credit that as well. Overall I did not have a great experience and was upset at the way the whole situation was handled.

william wNo uhaul rep at the drop off location. Shared a parking lot with used car dealership and Napa auto so very tight and confusing. Because nobody from uhaul there we didn’t know how to complete check out process, dropped keys in lockbox before checking odometer. Had to spend 2 hours with customer service trying to figure out next move. Bad experience.
