Rural town, no gas within 45 min so I was low. Cel service was wishy washy and was impossible to check out w photo. Rep was sweet but only person manning market and couldn't help me.

However when we went to our original location to pick up our truck in Fresno, they gave the truck away while looking to see if they could get us a larger one. They didn’t let us know when looking to see what inventory they had meant we lost our original reservation. Within 2 min the truck was lost. We had to drive an hour away to get a new truck which was the Auberry location. I wouldn’t recommend U-haul for any future movers. However the customer service here was great.

Ryan TremblayI have had the worst experience ever. First I was told my truck wasn't available then they found me a smaller truck 45 mins away then when I got there in front tire was bald. Then another rtire blew out during my drive. Also interior light didn't work and the from side light was falling out. The truck was dirty inside and out and I was charged 50!!! for smart move. I told them I did not need it and they said there was nothing they could do-" uhaul put it on and I can't take it off. "

Robert MoeI don’t know who is to blame but it took us over 2 hours to get our U-Haul. I spoke to at least 3 customer service reps, the owner of the store we were at, and multiple other people. I’ve rented U-Haul many many times and never experienced something so stressful and frustrating
REBECCA OVERSTREETHave someone available to walk you through the workings of the rental. There was no one to assist me with hookup or making sure that my vehicle was rigged properly with the necessary components. There was absolutely no outside customer service for rentals of the Uhaul as this site is a market. Market customers came first while Owner was in the middle of my transaction. Also what happened to making sure of safety first before the rental left the location. I would not recommend this rental site to anyone.

Judy LisyRick and Bie are wonderful, friendly people. I really enjoyed working with them. But, they need to update their equipment. It took an hour to get the U-Haul truck even though I had previously checked in online because their computer kept freezing up. Also, if a customer came in [the U-Haul location is also the Ponderosa Market], they would have to stop the U-Haul check in and wait on the customer. I probably should not be so critical because their location is up in the foothills [where I use to live] and it saved me a 45 minute drive as I did not have to go downtown - and that really helped me out. So 5 stars for them being there.

Jeremy HayesI made a reservation to pick up at a location 40 miles away from my needed location because of no available equipment in Merced. When I got to the location they had closed before their posted hours said they normally close. I called the number for help and some outstanding lady, (she said she was in Phoenix), pulled a miracle out of thin air and found a trailer I could get to before they would also be closed. She deserves a pat on the back. She went way above and beyond normal customer service to help me out. My only complaint is that after driving all over heck for a couple of hours, wasting half a tank of gas and hauling the thing back to Merced I was charged about $80 more than the Merced to Tucson price because, I assume, the trip was now 100 miles longer. I got no benefit from that 100 miles. The trailer was empty that part of the trip. etc. & etc. If you can make an adjustment on the price I would be grateful. If you'd prefer, just give the nice lady in your Phoenix office a little bonus and we'll call it square.
Dennis SturgeonI can see I’m not going to get an opportunity to rate the U Haul online reservation process. Calling the location you want to pick it up at, the preferred pick up location, and not being blatant about THIS location is truly only a PREFERRED location is deceptive practice. It should be spelled out in big bold text, we do not guarantee this location for pick up. What a pain to learn in less than 24 hours that you must drive close to an hour to pick up the trailer you reserved. Be blatant! Be clear!

Mary Kay GornyThere was only one person available to do the paperwork when I picked up the trailer. The woman was very friendly and apologized for it taking so long but she had to take care of the customers coming in to the store before helping myself because I was a uhaul customer. The frustrating part was that when I walked in there were three people working in the store, they all walked out and I ended up waiting an hour before I could get the trailer and get out of the store. I did complete all the paperwork online to "save time" at the pick up but literally everything I had filled out did not matter the girl had to refill out everything. I would not recommend people use this location except that coming from Shaver Lake it is the closest location. My recommendation would be to call ahead and see if they have an additional person available to do the uhaul rental agreements.

But she was way too busy to help me (she thought I was coming later but I had made it clear twice in advance that I was coming early and they said that was fine). The truck was muddy in the cab but there has been ton of rain there lately. This location was way out of my way. I was supposed to pick up in Coaresville but they were useless and didn't seem to care. Oakhurst is half closed on Sat and closed on Sunday???
