I wouldn't recommend this service at all to a friend, I was practically lied to because you guys didn't want one of your trucks going so far out the way.

The salesperson was really nice however the inside of the truck was dirty with dog hair and dirt all over. He tried his best to clean it out at the moment but it was still there.

I don't know who is to blame but it took us over 2 hours to get our U-Haul. I spoke to at least 3 customer service reps, the owner of the store we were at, and multiple other people. I've rented U-Haul many many times and never experienced something so stressful and frustrating

Have someone available to walk you through the workings of the rental. There was no one to assist me with hookup or making sure that my vehicle was rigged properly with the necessary components. There was absolutely no outside customer service for rentals of the Uhaul as this site is a market. Market customers came first while Owner was in the middle of my transaction. Also what happened to making sure of safety first before the rental left the location. I would not recommend this rental site to anyone.

It was a little weird; the person running the cash register for a store was the person renting the equipment. Each customer had to wait for the other to be waited on.

Rick and Bie are wonderful, friendly people. I really enjoyed working with them. But, they need to update their equipment. It took an hour to get the U-Haul truck even though I had previously checked in online because their computer kept freezing up. Also, if a customer came in [the U-Haul location is also the Ponderosa Market], they would have to stop the U-Haul check in and wait on the customer. I probably should not be so critical because their location is up in the foothills [where I use to live] and it saved me a 45 minute drive as I did not have to go downtown - and that really helped me out. So 5 stars for them being there.

I made a reservation to pick up at a location 40 miles away from my needed location because of no available equipment in Merced. When I got to the location they had closed before their posted hours said they normally close. I called the number for help and some outstanding lady, (she said she was in Phoenix), pulled a miracle out of thin air and found a trailer I could get to before they would also be closed. She deserves a pat on the back. She went way above and beyond normal customer service to help me out. My only complaint is that after driving all over heck for a couple of hours, wasting half a tank of gas and hauling the thing back to Merced I was charged about $80 more than the Merced to Tucson price because, I assume, the trip was now 100 miles longer. I got no benefit from that 100 miles. The trailer was empty that part of the trip. etc. & etc. If you can make an adjustment on the price I would be grateful. If you'd prefer, just give the nice lady in your Phoenix office a little bonus and we'll call it square.

I can see I'm not going to get an opportunity to rate the U Haul online reservation process. Calling the location you want to pick it up at, the preferred pick up location, and not being blatant about THIS location is truly only a PREFERRED location is deceptive practice. It should be spelled out in big bold text, we do not guarantee this location for pick up. What a pain to learn in less than 24 hours that you must drive close to an hour to pick up the trailer you reserved. Be blatant! Be clear!

Not a thing. The on line check in and pre-payment option worked well, as the pick up location was a small country store and the clerk was by herself and busy. It helped us both out.

We notified the staff about the bare wires that we found when we unloaded the truck. The placed a non-op on the trailer until it could be repaired.

The location is in a small market where the person assisting us, had to stop and check out grocery customers. It would have been nice to have a working printer as the receipt was emailed to us in an area where cellular reception is spotty at best.

There was only one person available to do the paperwork when I picked up the trailer. The woman was very friendly and apologized for it taking so long but she had to take care of the customers coming in to the store before helping myself because I was a uhaul customer. The frustrating part was that when I walked in there were three people working in the store, they all walked out and I ended up waiting an hour before I could get the trailer and get out of the store. I did complete all the paperwork online to "save time" at the pick up but literally everything I had filled out did not matter the girl had to refill out everything. I would not recommend people use this location except that coming from Shaver Lake it is the closest location. My recommendation would be to call ahead and see if they have an additional person available to do the uhaul rental agreements.

Only one person to check-in Uhaul and that person also ran the market so I had to wait until they helped the market customers first. Very slow.

This is a grocery store. Bee the owner is a wonderful person. But she was way too busy to help me (she thought I was coming later but I had made it clear twice in advance that I was coming early and they said that was fine). The truck was muddy in the cab but there has been ton of rain there lately. This location was way out of my way. I was supposed to pick up in Coaresville but they were useless and didn't seem to care. Oakhurst is half closed on Sat and closed on Sunday???

The Transmission was slipping in and out of the gears. I would be slowing down and 4th would jump down to 3rd and would not go back into 4th till I manually shifted from 3rd back into 4th. This vehicle should not have been rented out.

My orginal pick up was scheduled in Clovis Ca. I had to drive an hour in the mountains to pick up my u-haul which was not convenient. The gentleman at the u-haul location was very pleasant.

Manager was rude. Reservation and pick up location both stated after hours drop off okay. Not True! No drop off and lady was rude when I needed to drop off and she made me late for work. I was there first and yet she helped her convenience store customers first and made me wait.

I apppreciate having a location in the rural areas makes it convienient for those who don't have the equipment to maintain this style of living.The location need to have on hand the trained personel to recieve ,inspect and see that the customer is served.some locations do not have this and are run by people just tryingf to make some side money

Be careful what is said over phone when renting a truck, I told person I was doing one way rental she said didn't charge until Truck was returned but when I got there I was told I had to pay up front. It was very confusing. It took over two (2) hours to actually rent the truck!!! Also I had my daughters credit cArd number and they said she had to be there to sign! Then took forever for her to get it done over The phone.

A wonderful Uhaul experience - exceptional customer service with genuine concern for my needs and uncommon warmth one doesn't usually expect or get these days. It would've been nice to have a 10-ft truck available, but I'd rent a 20-ft if it meant getting the kind of friendly help I received here.

This is a convenience store. There is only 1 person working here so here can be a wait getting checked out for rentals.

As a pickup location, it was close and convenient but that's where the pros ended. It took over an hour just to complete the initial paperwork on their computer. I was not provided a copy of any paperwork and was told it would be emailed to me. I didn't receive anything but a confirmation email, no documentation showing what I paid and what it was for. When it came time to get the trailer, I was pointed toward where the trailers were located and told to make sure I got the right one. I was asked to sign a paper that said everything worked and was in perfect condition before I even knew what trailer I was getting or where it was. I had to show the clerk how to use his computer to set up his printer properly just to print a screen that I could show as a form of registration to confirm trailer wasn't stolen when going through the border check stations in CA and TX. This was the worst rental experience I have ever had.

Note in cab says to run the vehicle in tow mode. This gear is too low and should not be used. Poor gas mileage, too.
