JILL BNo problem except I was told I would receive a refund on any overage of gas above what I started with . I did overfill, but upon return the manager explained that was not the case. There was no effort to compensate me and I did not persue it after moving all day. I think it would have given me a better experience if I had had some kind of a compensation for this mistake, even a T-shirt or something would’ve made it better. Truck had 1/4 tank, I drove about 40 miles, put 20$ in, used about 1/8 tank. No big deal.

EDWARD DThe guy Rick(with glasses)who helped us on 12-05-24 was rude as soon as we got there. I wasn’t sure what name i put on the rental so i give my partners last name and he said he couldn’t find it so i give him my last name and he found it, he was starting to tell us “ well that wasn’t the name you give me at first” i told him seriously i just told you i didn’t remember but i have the confirmation number in my email. So rude. He told use the pick up had a full tank once we got the keys we check the pick up it only had half a tank and when i told him he said the pick up don’t ever come with a full tank but i should him the paper he give us that he marked it says it had a full tank and i had to show him a picture i took at the beginning. On top of all that the pick up had the passenger window open and there was snow inside. Which we had to clean because we had to go and give use the wrong dolly. Give us more attitude like if we were wrong. It’s like he just wanted us out of there. Oh and the whole time i was talking to him he keep looking at my Chest. I had a damn hoodie on so what was he looking at. Never going there again and that was my first time there! And last!

ALICE AI was scheduled to return the truck to the Yeager location and when I did I was told I had to instead return it to the ace location. The problem is that the Yeager location is within walking distance of my house. The ace location is 1.8 miles from my house. This was an inconvenience to walk 1.8 miles as my plans had already been set. Had I known this upfront, I would have simply arranged to return the truck to the original clinton township location which would have been less expensive to book that way. Extremely disappointed as a loyal customer. No apologies from either the Yeager or ace location when I made them aware of the inconvenience imposed on me.

kevin wI had a serious question regarding the truck rented, I called Ace Hardware, they asked me to hold and put the phone down. Never came back to the phone after 15 minutes, I hung up. I attempted multiple times to call back and got a busy signal from there after. I navigated around the challenge I had and made it work on my own.
RICHARDO KOverall, my first experience with this location was favorable and I would totally recommend them in spite of a couple of minor hiccups. This included what I'd say is an obvious weakness in the training of the young employee who was involved with hooking the trailer up to my vehicle, which could have potentially led to a serious situation had I not realized soon after leaving the location that something was not right with the trailer coupling. However, I'll accept some of the blame for being in too much of a rush to get on the road for what was going to be a long trip for me, and not performing my own final safety check of the rig before hitting the road, especially where the coupling is concerned. Lesson learned. But overall the equipment is well maintained and ready to go, the staff is very firendly and helpful, and my 800+ mile one-day "U-Haul Adventure", albeit a very long day for me, worked out as well as could be expected with no other delays or surprises. I'll definitely use them again for my future needs and would recommend them to anyone needing to rent a U-Haul truck or trailer.

TIFFENY RTrailer was available at my preferred location ( I confirmed) but I was redirected to this location. Don’t like being redirected 10 miles out of my way for no reason.
Eric RThe truck was nearly 20 years old with almost 170k miles. The 1962 Jeep Willy I learned to drive a stick on had a tighter steering column than this death trap.

Tina MWas charged for gas after I filled it to the line where it was when I got it. We only drove it for 14 miles. Somehow the level moved 1/8 to 3/4 after driving 3 miles to the location to drop it off. Was not happy, want a refund for the fuel i was charged.
