It was really icy when I was there not their fault
Mark SMake sure the equipment is clean inside before renting to a new person. Disappointed that they WOULDN'T give a military discount to a Veteran who has always gotten one because he said there was limited stock on hand and didn't have to give a discount because of that.

chris cDidn’t give me a choice for the 15 dollar insurance fee. I tried using the Fort Gratiot location, had to do it by phone , too complicated for a 75 yr old man, gave up.

The equipment was in tip top shape and the overall experience was a 10 out of 10 and I will definitely be going to this location again for any rental needs.
ROBERT EI rented a unit that had a dirt floor covered by plywood. I was unaware that people even made rental units that didn't have a cement floor to keep moisture out when I suggested that it was not appropriate for the items I was rented. I was told that I could get some pallets from them to put my furniture on. The poor quality of the unit should have been disclosed.

Floyd WI had an absolutely wonderful experience except I think it's kind of wrong i turn the truck back in 22 hours early and since it was 2 hours over after the original time I rented it they took an entire day of payment from us and I thought that was kind of messed up running it for 3 Days took it back early and still got charged for 3 days
Kimberly CIf anyone does need to rent one I recommend going to the on Yeager St. The people there are very helpful and understanding to your needs. Could not have asked for the more wonderful experience and excellent customer service.

Kevin LI’m never use the car trailer. I asked the help. She said you rent, you have to know how can use. She is not U-Haul worker. She is self storage worker. I signed the contract with her and paid her. Isn’t she U-Haul worker? When I tried loading my car. She had gone. The office closed. I tried three times to load my car no success. I driven over at last time.. Terrible experience! I don’t want to think about it.
Xiao ZSome type of rodent got into my storage unit and chewed up a lot of my things. I had to throw a lot of stuff away because it was covered in animal droppings.

My payment was dew on the 6th of every month and I exited out on the 6th , so why should I have to pay another month when I left on the 6th ??? I will never recommend this place to anyone not even an enemy

LISA Y | ReservationStaff made false allegations towards our return by lying saying we damaged their fence. I had videos our return as we had delt with this elsewhere before. The hideo was sent to the area manager and she refunded us immediately as the video showed we left no damage. In addition to that we had purchased insurance for the trip regardless from uhaul. I am disappointed and situated that the staff behaved like this

This is unacceptable when I am paying for a service. I have asked for a receipt twice and still have not received it also. So I get to sit on hold again for 20 minutes until someone can finally help me.

PETER B | Overall ExperienceI ordered my uhaul online and reserved it for friday pickup and drop off on sunday morning. I reserved a 20 footer and was called and told that they only had a 26 footer and they would charge me the same price for the 20 upon pickup i was given the price of the 26 footer and a drop off time of saturday at 5. I was beyond irritated at that point because not only was i paying more than promised i was also now rushing my move. i dropped it off saturday at 540 pm and got charged a whole extra day and a late fee and it was basically the same price i had already paid once im not happy with the way you money grabbed from me and my family im not happy with the lack of communication in your company and im demanding a refund of this 'extra day' charge because last i checked a day is 24 hrs i had it for 40 minutes after i was supposed to drop it off and that would just be considered late.

James LThe Facility is tucked away in a nice neighborhood just off the highway. The staff is more then happy to help whenever you have questions or forget your passcode :) I held a 10x15x10 for over two years without any issues from weather or critters. If I ever need a storage unit again I know where to go.

Joel AGet rid of the no contact system. It took 30 minutes because of the U-Haul rules they had to follow. The staff was the best part though.
Devon BWrong dolly was in truck. Had to buy a new appliance dolly. Opted out of insurance. Was charges insurance anyway.

The only complaint I have with the storage unit I rented is the roller garage door needs to be replaced. It was very old and hard to open and close, as it felt like it wanted to come off the track. Seems like someone could have pushed the bottom of the door in if they really wanted to get in my storage unit. I liked that there is a security gate/cameras and I could access my storage unit any time, so the rest of my experience with the rental was great, especially Jenna.

JEFF L | Overall ExperienceI was auto pay so never late on payments, I accessed the unit very rarely and abided by every rule. I live next door to the business and i have dogs. The Manager of the unit brings her dogs to work with her and my dogs bark at her dogs. I was told once my dog wandered over to the unfenced area of the property (since then I put up a chain link fence) the Manager labeled my dog as viscous ( she is NOT ) for no other reason I was evicted by the Manager with no explanation so I can only assume the reason was personal. The Manager even went into my file and got my phone number to call me on a personal matter I never gave her my phone number to use as a personal contact number. She had it only because I was renting a unit. Yes the place is clean and well maintained but the Manager is power hungry. I have heard many stories of her power abuse but won't share because those were not my experience.

I was told to move out no exceptions no reason and on top of that Jenna put us on a do not rent list which is slander and is Illegal. This location is a joke and none of the employees are nice they're rude and don't ever get off their butts to help or manage anything. What this place did to us was completely unacceptable unprofessional.

I loved working with Jenna in the Yeager Street office, she was always an absolutely pleasure and made me feel incredibly welcome.
BECKY J | Overall ExperienceLast day of contract: November 4, 2021 I was notified on November 1st that I was no longer welcome and will not be allowed to rent a space there next year because I did not communicate with the office. When I paid invoice on October 4 they did request I notify them when I was removing boat for the season. On October 20th they called upset and spoke with my wife that I had removed my boat and didn’t notify them. I hadn’t removed it, I was out in the river with my boat fishing. I did remove the boat on Wednesday, October 27, and didn’t remember until Friday night that I needed to call. Believing the office was closed on the weekend, I was going to call on Monday. Before I made that call, they called me with the notification I was no longer welcome. My wife called back to try and understand what happened. She was informed that the contract entitles them to do that because i didn’t communicate with them and the space had been emptied for more than 8 days. My wife tried to correct that information that it was only 4 days, 2 of them the weekend and was told the call would be ended if she didn’t stop talking over the storage facility representative. I don’t know the name of the person making the telephone calls on October 20th and November 1st but the number is 810-385-7110. In a final attempt to try and understand what happened my wife called the location office 810-985-5300 to speak with Jenna, who set up the contract with me. The person who made the original calls answered the phone and said Jenna does not want to or have to talk to her and she hung up. I still don’t understand how or why I was treated this way and my wife spoken to so rudely. I was within my rental period. I paid my bill every month on time. I didn’t cause any trouble. What happened? By the way, there is not 24 hour access as advertised and printed on my uhaul order confirmation. I had to wait until 6 AM to get through the gate. Thank you. Fred Reiter
