This location in mastic are a bunch of scammers. DO NOT GO HERE! I went there in the morning for my scheduled reservation time and nobody was there. I even waited a half hour longer and the door was still locked with Nobody there… so I left and rescheduled to a different location. A day or later I get an email and a txt saying I owe them money. They made it seem like I rented the van, put miles on it and used gas, when I never even got to rent anything cause NOBODY WAS THERE. Since this place did that to me I was flagged and couldn’t rent a van a week later at a different location. Thankfully the other location was able to help me rectify this issue that these scam artists at 1540 montauk hwy in mastic tried to pull. I don’t understand why people have to do things like this cause of their screw up. So they try to screw over some random person. The person who did this to me, which was most likely the manager should be FIRED! The worker at the other location along with his Uhaul rep both found this very odd and suspicious. It just did t make sense to them. What’s funny is… they first thing they get from you is your license plus your card with the payment and your signature and none of that was on record for me until I went to the other location. U-Haul seriously should look into this and fire the lowlife who caused this. I hope nobody else goes here cause other reviews say this place double charges people too so be cautious with 1540 montauk hwy in mastic U-Haul. They are just straight scum bags and scammers over there. I rate this location no stars if I could. Smh

Michael FThere was some kind of poop on the passenger seat and the entire truck smelled. When we told the rep he took a piece of paper towel and rubbed the seat and said that’s all he could do. If I didn’t need the 26’truck as bad as I did I would’ve left right there without the truck. It was so bad we couldn’t put the heat on and had to keep windows open. I have made a formal complaint but have not heard anything since

Diego CI found the location very Convenient and within walking distance from my home. The hours were convenient for renting a U-Haul vehicle after work in the late afternoon. Choice of vehicles covered a wide range of needs as I rented a cargo van to pick up a glass shower door and 2 Anderson windows which were too large for my sedan to use. The prices were very fair and fully explained. The Van was almost brand new and was very clean and the A/C was nice and cold on this humid day so driving was a relief from the weather. Thanks, I look forward to using U-Haul, and this business manager Rodrigo's location in Mastic, NY in the future. Sincerely, Jerry Goldsmith

EDUARDO SI used U-Haul’s equipment to move my elderly parents from Myrtle Beach back to NY closer to family. Picking up the truck after hours in Myrtle Beach did not go smooth and was a real pain. I was hoping the drop off would be better. NOT A CHANCE. After driving through the night and then unloading their furniture I received a text message from Uhaul notifying me where my drop off location was. Upon arrival I noticed right away that the location would be challenging to maneuver the 15ft box truck and car hauler trailer I was towing. I was able to tuck it in to a tight spot next to other Uhaul vehicles. walked around the location which was a strip of stores. I could not find a Uhaul representative. When I opened my App I was given a different drop off location than what the text message said that I receive about an hour earlier. I had to wait for a couple of customers of the strip mall to leave before I could maneuver.the truck and trailer out of the parking lot. When I got to the new location they did not have my paperwork and were unaware I was dropping the equipment there. Fortunately, they were very nice and accommodating. My experience with U-Haul throughout this process was frustrating experience. I am very disappointed. Ray G.
