When we received the uhual it was dirty and we had to clean it before loading it. When we got to Ohio to unload our stuff there was several things broken and soaking wet from the rain and it got inside the uhual so we lost a bunch of our personal belongings due to this issue so maybe the uhual should be checked properly

Justin CFirst, not related to Preston's but U-Haul ... this was not the location offered nor selected as the original drop off location. The location offered via the website turned out was no longer a U-Haul agent, nor had they been for approx 4-5 months, according to the staff onsite. Prestons was chosen as an alternative. I dropped after hours so had no contact with the personnel directly, but the next morning they managed to erroneously charge me a cleaning fee. Fortunately, I had taken photos of the clean interior of the trailer when I dropped it off. During the dispute process, which resulted in a refund, I was told this was a "typo". Not sure how a typo resulted in the application of a cleaning fee, but I certainly did not appreciate the attempt to collect additional money that I did not owe.
Karen FI was charged for but did not receive an appliance dolly and a dozen blankets. After hours pickup no refund given on these items.

Kimberly LThe location was fine ..... but U-Haul app is not user friendly at all. I called and gave my credit card information, and the customer service rep told me to go to the uhaul location and follow the instructions on the app and I would receive a code to get the keys. This did not happen. We were on the phone outside in the cold talking to a rep trying to get a code for over an hour . Two other people were there trying to get their keys as well. This process is absolutely ridiculous. And the return of the truck was even worse the app did not work. The app would not upload the pictures that are required. The whole experience was awful. I am very tech Savey and could not make anything work, pickup or drop-off. UHaul you should be ashamed of this process. Picking up a truck when a business is closed is not a good idea. Same on you UHaul!!!!!

The the older man came out and took a picture of the connection because he was required too. Did not even walk me out to the equipment. So no. I will not return to that location anymore. I am a man of color. And the owner did not seem to like black people.

Luke RVehicle was not fully inspected before rental -- headlight switch had been pushed back inside dash and unreachable. Both Roadside Assistance and personnel at receiving location offered opinion that this was an unsafe condition.
Robert MTrailer had a flat tire when we picked it up, but got it repaired quickly at tire place close by before using it.
Joe SWhen making the reservation, I asked for a dozen furniture pads. They didn’t have any at this location. Otherwise, it was great!

James SYour app is too frustrating to use. I took my own pictures but I had to get out if my car, go back to the truck to take pictures again of the gas/mileage, the outside ofthe truck. I also took pictures all the way around before I took it off the lot. And the starting gas and mileage. And I took my own when I returned yet, but I have to waste more time taking them from your stupid app. If this location can't bother to have a live person on-site, please remove them from your service. Worst experience ever!

Andrew HI was encouraged to drop the equipment at another location and was told it was a small fee. It ended up being double the original charge. Ultimately it was $45 or so but it was still disappointing.

Traye VUsing the 24/7 contact less pick up was a joke, and a failure. It made nothing simple, or fast. I will never use this service again if I needed to rent a vehicle. I was already running behind on the pick up of the truck due to UHaul moving my pick up location almost 25 miles away from where I originally had a pick up reservation. So using the 24/7 pick up, I thought this would have been a faster pick up option. Incorrect, the tech on the chat for whatever reason that they would not tell me, could not verify some information which required me to go into the pick up location, luckily they were open to verify the exact same information I submitted in the app! Ridiculous, unnecessary, and very inconvenient. The truck was dirty. The cab had dirt all over it, you can tell a drink had spilled down the passenger door, and people were clearly smoking in the Truck as there were ashes all over the passenger floorboards. The back cargo area of the truck was just nasty. The floor was covered in water, and some kind of oil products and was covered in debris. Before we could even use the truck, we had to sweep and mop the cargo area, which still left the floor slippery from whatever the oil was. We swept out the cab of the truck as well so we did not get charged for the cleaning. However, I took video and photos of the trucks condition before we even left the pick up locations lot. Was absolutely unacceptable.

Timothy Sfor corporate uhaul... the tie down connections on 5x8 trailer were very small and not very suitable for racket strapping.

Tamara MI couldn’t pick it up because the key was not in the location described by the app and the passcode to it was letter based but the lock there was number based.
Jasmine RTruck in cargo bay was not swept. Truck was dirty on outside. Clerk was not real friendly. Asked for drivers license and credit card then went in back for ten minutes. Came out had me sign paperwork and handed me keys. No questions other than do I want insurance. I asked if everything was the same as original reservation and he inly said yes. When I got to drop of point had to call to get correct location because he set it up to be returned to original pick up point not where I specified in my original reservation. He was not rude but he did not go out of his way to help. Very little customer service skills.

Herbert HChillicothe Location was very easy, clean & very easy and open to maneuver the truck around to get out. Since changed and decided to use the mobile pick up I didn’t have help from the counter personally but the help of the gentlemen at the office in Chillicothe office was very much appreciated. He was kind and very knowledgeable. I was nervous and unsure of my dates & he gave me the options.
