We were charged for 6 gal of gas when we filled up just before returning the truck. When I called and pointed this out I was told that I would receive a credit for the overcharge. I received a second contract with the charge deducted as a cash refund. I never returned to the location and my credit card was never credited as I understood it to be.joseph H.

Allow people to get â€œapprovedâ€ before they show up. This unexplained process from the entire time from when I reserved my rental, downloaded the app, and did everything I could before arrival still lead to me waiting for 29 min while you needed to approve me (one option was a passport or calling my employer). THIS NEEDS TO BE ALLOWED BEFORE I AM LITERALLY TRYING TO DRIVE TO MOVE MY STUFF. IT TOOK 20 EXTRA MINUTES I DIDNT HAVE. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!Laura B.

We were given a defective truck. It broke down a few miles from the location. The location was already very inconvenient for us since we had originally reserved to pick up in Aurora, where the vehicle was needed. We were notified 5 hours before our pick up time that we would have to pick up more than 50 miles away at the Division St location in Chicago. Having to drive all that way on our move day, when we had moving help scheduled, only to be given a junky truck that broke down, was a huge inconvenience and a huge disappointment. It delayed our move by several hours. Do better.Carlos G.

The pick up location was just ok. The first time I called to advise I couldn't retrieve the key in the lockbox, the csr was less than helpful. It took a third call to resolve my issue. That csr was great!CHRISTY C.

Johnny was the individual we worked with and he was outstanding and went way beyond the call of duty. As we were moving into the city of Chicago he even came over and assisted us in getting our cars off the trailers and taking the trailers away while we unloaded the cars.MARK M.

My reservation was for 9am. Got there, did the online pickup thing. There was a hold associated to my name. I was pissed but figured it related to my dad. So I called and squared it away. Lady said give the account time to refresh, I did and then my reservation said it wasn't eligible for online check in and I need to see an attendant. Even though the place opens at 9am, no one was there. No one showed up until 10am and he showed up on the phone. Still took another 20 minutes for me to pull off. Then when returning the truck another attendant was rude and indignant.Willoam H.

A bit tricky / confusing knowing where to drop off the trailer. Big city issue. Original address provided was an unattended uHaul storage area which was part of a gas station at 1600 N. Western. Had to look at other documentation to find the 3353 W. Division location listed. Got it returned at the Division location...quite an adventure though. Got there and they informed me that the location I reserve my Cargo Van was at another location. Then they said that they have the same Van available for me there. They asked me not to say anything about the change. They take my License and give me the keys. I return the Van in 3 hours with 21 miles put on it. I get me bill and they charge me for 96 miles. I have emailed twice & no reply. They are crooks and I would not go there or recommend anyone else going there.Michael P.
The attendent at the Drop of location at 1600 N Western Ave refused the equipment & asked me to comunicate with U Haul to correct the Drop off place. Web site was not working, Phone cale waiting time was over 20 minutes & including phone call drop off & automatic hang up by your system I wasted three hours trying to find a U Haul Dealer when several Dealers rejected taking accepting the Trailer. I am requesting a partial refund for my wasted time & your Dealers' terribly poor Service.ALLAN K.

The guy who worked at the location was absolutely rude. I parked the U-Haul truck and dolly where he told me to, next to another U-Haul truck, then came outside telling me I had to move it. It took my friend a half our to back up the truck and dolly because it's almost impossible to reverse with a tow dolly and move it across the street. It makes me not want to use U-Haul in the future.Leslie B.

This location was fine, but I scheduled the Uhaul for a different location, was never notified of the change, and then had to drive an additional 15 min in the opposite direction of my destination to get this location. I was late for work and was very unhappy with my experience overall.HENRY S.

Reservation was for 1pm. Didn't get the trailer until 2:30pm. Reservation was for a 5x8 trailer and received a 6x12 trailer, which, of course, provided worse gas mileage. Was charged for insurance separately and didn't want it; this was only noticed due to a credit card notification that indicated my card was charged $32,70 after we left the premises. Also, when assigning/updating the rental for the larger trailer, the return location of the reservation was changed (without my knowing/authorization) from Mpls to Chicago. Therefore, when returning the trailer in Mpls, they were NOT expecting the trailer and really didn't want it since they had quite a few in their lot already. However, they did take it since it wasn't our error. Would never recommend this UHaul location to anyone! Was never offered the $50 reservation guarantee refund by business on the renting end.Jay P.

Waited almost an hour to get the rental truck. Very disorganized and lack of communication. They could not tell me what was going on for the first 15 mins. Eventually they told me that they did not have the right truck (one that could go one-way) so I ended up waiting for another 45 minutes while they got approval for me to take another one. I was quoted by the Uhaul Rep $1350 with all taxes and the comprehensive insurance. I wasn't able to secure the reservation till the day before and when that came i was informed that the the lowest Uhaul could go was $1407 which meant i could've gone with the cheaper option which was Penske. Will be letting people know not to choose Uhaultim G.

The van had no gas in the tank, they said I drove more than 1,000 miles and charged me $500. When I came to pick up the van, they made me make a new reservation and pay again even though I had previously paid online. They didn't give me my original van for some unknown reason and tried to tell me insurance was mandatory. Do not pick up from this location under any circumstances.Alex S.

The staff at Priority Tires was extremely helpful, but the vehicle I was rented was blocked in when I was first sent to it and the gas tank was on empty also. Arrived at 9AM to pick up a reserved truck. No one was at location. Called business number - went to voicemail. At 9:15 I noticed a handwritten note tacked to the inside desk - called that number. They made me check in on my phone while standing outside in what was thankfully only a light drizzle. When finally finished I was given a combination for a lock box - this was now 9:30. A worker showed up at that point and told me how he'd had to take an Uber to work. Place was supposed to be open at 9AM. Am I supposed to care that he had to take an Uber?Dan S.
