Ok so the return was super super super confusing I wasn’t sure where I was supposed to park where the keys went or what I was supposed to do. The application kind of sucks and is not very intuitive on how to return trucks. One of the major issues as well is the key dropbox is extremely small on this massive lot if you have a return sign place a sign underneath it that states where the key return box is so it’s more intuitive for the customers. The next issue I have is the return application picture gathering the signs for the return were about 400 feet away from the car so as I was reading the signs it said take photos of the car I took photos of the car went to go walk to put the keys up, asked for more photos. There should just be one area for photos that asks for all of the photos. The next page should not have any other photo requirements.

Uhaul system was down. Lady made it seem Like I wasn’t going to be able to get my rental. I took and one way flight from la Vegas to lax to pick up the truck and some restaurant equipment . Eventually got the truck about 90 mins after arriving and the truck itself was dirty on the inside. Spills, dirty cup holders, dog hair everywhere. Was very dissatisfied with this experience.

I've used Uhaul 30 years before. Now, reservation has to be done online, and app for transaction. By mistake I went to Placentia Uhaul dealership. They told me the truck is at Pro Touch which is next industrial building over. Went to Pro Touch, Nobody there to help. Went back to Placentia Uhaul. I was advice to download the uhaul app on my phone to get the truck key code. Got the key code, unlock the rollup door but it was stuck shut. They just painted the floor where the rollup door with anti rust pain which glued the door to the floor. We managed to open it up with a pri bar borrowed from the mechanic next door. I was not a fan of the self serve method that this uhaul outlet do. Pro Touch is getting paid some how for just holding uhaul vehicle. Placentia Uhaul is no help either because the vehicle booked is not theirs. They told me to cancel my reservation then they can help me. As far as I'm concern both company represents the UHaul brand!. It get worse. As I drove the truck home at 11 am, its steering wheel shakes at 50 to 55 miles per hour speed on a smooth freeway. I have the truck test drove by a certified mechanic that does maintenance on my personal vehicles. I was advised not to drive it. Called Uhaul roadside service at 5pm. Truck service arrived at 7:30 PM. The truck mechanic refuse to drive the uhaul truck due to its condition. He towed it. I was advised to pick up a replacement at Tustin Uhaul dealership the next day June 14, 2024. I lost a lot of work time and vacation time for nothing due to Uhaul's rental system and unmaintained vehicles. The replacement truck has issues also . It's front wheel shakes when brake were applied at speed above 40 miles per hour. Fortunately traffic from Orange County to LA County is below 40 miles per hour from 6 am to 9 am on a good day!
