The part of town it's in is inherently "iffy" and going through the little booth was odd, but the dude that actually verified my checkin and hooked me up was great. On the return, a gal came out unprompted while I was lining the trailer up to return it. She grabbed a verification photo as she walked up and went straight to detaching the trailer and pushing it back. They were both fast and friendly. I've been to U-Haul facilities that were more "comfortable", but not one that has matched this level of speed and service.Robert V.

Uhaul let me reserve a truck for pick up at 7am even though the business doesn't open until 8am. The"use your mobile and everything will be easy"line is bs. Still had to do everything I've had to when renting before uhaul somehow became a "sharing"business. And still have not received my receipt despite the fact that I returned the truck eight hours ago and my credit card has been charged.SCOTT W.

Quit making your customers the middle men for your trash vehicles. You as a company need to deal directly with the tow company and any other service provider we as customers may have to encounter along the way. We paid for a service and are not paid to help you maintain your vehicles.Brian R.

The online mobile pickup process is horrendous. The UX is confusing and the number of steps is exhausting. The ads make it seem like renting is a snap but it takes 30 minutes to do the mobile check-in.Philip-Michael W.

The staff at the pickup location were great. However- uhaul's online ordering system changed my pickup location without informing me of this change. So I showed up to my preferred pick up location and was told my truck was at another location. This was an extreme inconvenience and stress causer on an already stressful moving day. I'm told uhaul does this often. Be sure to confirm your pickup because uhaul system is not reliableJOSEPH C.

When I picked up the truck there was a turd yes a turd on the bumper that the person had to come up outside and clean off.... the truck really ran bad I had it for 24 hours returned it with a quarter tank and was overchargedALEXIOUS P.

When I picked up the trailer it was not correctly installed in my opinion. The hand wheel was not tight enough, so the connection to the ball was loose; I followed the "trailer user instructions" on the U-Haul website and tighten the hand wheel until there was no play. When I returned the trailer the person who helped me complained that I had tightened the hand wheel too much. In my experience having a loose connection at the hitch can create dangerous instability problems.Daniel P.

I was completely caught off guard by this location. I believed that I would be able to get the keys from a drop-box and be able to return the vehicle past the time the store was open: this was not the case. Luckily, the store was open an hour later than stated on Google, but the U-Haul website made it seem as if the pick-up and drop-off would be available 24/7, which was not true. Additionally, I had ordered two furniture dollies which I was told upon arriving that they did not have. This wasn't the end of the world, but I felt I shouldn't have been able to select those as an option if they weren't going to be available. Another frustrating thing is that there was hardly any gas in the tank at all. Because I had to return the truck to the store before it closed, I didn't have a chance to add more for the next person. There should be some kind of minimum that it's required to be kept at to avoid this in the future. Overall, the location wasn't terrible, but not at all what I was expecting and there were many unpleasant surprises.Camryn G.

I don't normally leave reviews, but this is one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Let me start by saying that the people at Produce Pro were fine - it is the U-Haul app that is terrible, as well as Nigel Singh (East Bay Rep) who is completely unprofessional. The U-Haul app is basically broken. Buttons don't work, pictures don't work, and it is overall a horrible experience. I would never recommend using this - it's so stressful and makes the simple process of checking out a van take so long. When I returned the van, the U-Haul app didn't work, so the kind person at Produce Pro checked it in for me. I received an email two days later automatically charging me for 60 additional miles (which I didn't drive). After I complained about this on the phone (why do I need to do this? a person validated the mileage... how can you change it post-hoc like that). Then, the following day, I receive an email from Nigel Singh (written completely unprofessionally) saying that the mileage will continue to be charged to me, and I will pay for $150 in damages that I did not do. It was very clear that someone else did the mileage and damages, and Nigel sloppily assumed it was me, without doing any work to check what had happened. After I insisted that he check with the people at Produce Pro, he emailed back saying that I was right, and he would refund the charge. To his credit, he fixed the problem. But it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. I borrowed a van to drive 10 miles in about 2.5 hours. Returning it and trying to get rid of these extra charges took so much extra time, that I wish I had just hired movers in the first place. I am very serious when I say that I will *never* use U-Haul again.Pratik S.
