JOSE MThe truck needs a major tune up. The dolly was not in place and couldn’t be put back in place. The lady in the store was nice but the truck needs major tuning.
CHRISTIAN GWe reserved a truck and when we got to the location, it was not available. The U-Haul representative sent us to a second location, and again, a truck was not available. They gave us a truck that was damaged and told us it was up to us if we wanted it. The experience was stressful, and UHaul was not ready for our reservation.

Casey FIt was an awful experience. The website was down for 20 minutes and could not get the truck in time. After that the parking lot was extremely narrow for this type of truck. Inexperienced drivers have no chance to reverse in this lot. When I was trying to return my truck the website was down again and I couldn’t finish my rental. I didn’t know what to do. The support didn’t answer. And I was afraid of additional charges to come because of no charges appear in my statement and home screen page in my app. I’m really disappointed.

Kendall DThe truck had its mirrors broken, making it very difficult to maneuver back and forth. I truly believe this is a great company, but this truck condition was not good at all! The lady said that it was broken for a long time and that no one had complained about it! Anyway, this is a small item, but it could cause a lot of problems if your customer gets into an accident because of a broken rear view mirror.

Allen JI trusted the info given to me, did not verify gas level; only when driving approximately 15 miles west on I10, I realize that the gas level gauge was almost on E; went to my first destination to load cargo and on my way back, afraid of getting without gas, I stop at a gas station to fuel $10. Today on receiving the receipt I saw you charged $45 for gas; my total trip was abt 60 miles. IT’S UNFAIR !!! Contacted the store today morning, but the operator could not do anything.

Took pictures and reported over phone to U-Haul. This location is not representative of U-Haul who are usually excellent

David RThe lady that serviced me (due to the app not working properly) was on her cell phone and acted as if it were rude of me to walk into the location while she was clearly taking a personal call. She also did not know to give me the key to the truck, even though I showed her that the app advised me to do exactly as I was doing. After finally retrieving the key, I was surprised to find the condition of the truck. There was food debris all over the cup holders, used tissues and napkins thrown in the back and the outside was very dirty. The pictures shown on the app were definitely not the same vehicle I was supposed to be driving away. I was also beyond shocked to see the mileage was way more (almost 1k miles) than what was actually showing on the dashboard. There were scratches to the front of the vehicle and to the outside of the truck bed. When I brought this to the attention of the very rude lady inside, she called her supervisor, whom informed her she shouldn't have given me the key, and that the 24/7 app was turned off for their location, so I shouldn't have been able to do all that I did. So she went into the system and pulled up my rental agreement and said, well it looks like you're all set to go. I asked if it recorded the appropriate mileage, and she said she didn't know, but they could take care of it later. I left, and emailed back the regional accounts representative about the mileage, he assured me it was adjusted and apologized. Upon returning the truck, my assistant manager was SHOCKED by the things the lady was now saying to her about me, even after she explained to her that I was her boss. The lady told my assistant manager that I was a complete 'b*tch' and it must be terrible to work for somebody like me. My ASM told her that she actually really likes me and was surprised that I would say/do some of the things she was accusing me of. She told my ASM that I came up in there telling her she better clean that 'damn truck,' etc. I NEVER asked for her to clean it out, for one, for two, I don't appreciate being SLANDERED because this lady could not handle being an employee of uHaul.
Elizabeth LThe lady at the counter was rude, she wanted to leave and didn't even checked my order. She send me a text to pickup the keys outside of the store and didn't check additional equipment that I ordered (dolly, blankets, etc.). She didn't want to complete my sign up through the system and lied to me by saying the only way to sign in was through my phone since she wanted to leave. She didn't check the gas, neither the truck to see for any scratches, etc.
Luis TI did not initially choose this pick up location. The day before I was to pick up my truck, Uhaul contacted me and told me that my pick up location was changed to Pronto Packing and Shipping. My reservation was for a 10 am pickup. I arrived at the location around 9:40 am, and the store was still closed. We sat in the parking lot until the employee arrived after 10:30 am. She did not mention or apologize for being late. When she told us the total price it was higher than we had paid when we did the precheck in online. She told us that the insurance was added to our order even though we had declined it when we ordered online. We asked her to remove it but she said that she could not and that we had to contact uhaul. The store also did not have a dolly that we had reserved so we had to spend more time and go to a second Uhaul location (U-Haul Moving & Storage of Westpark) to get a dolly. She was able to remove the charges for the dolly even though she said she could not remove the insurance. I also believe that a security deposit may have been charged to me even though it shouldn't have because I used a credit card. There was no walk around of the vehicle at the site to check for damages and we were told we would get a link to do it online which we did not receive until after we called uhaul. As for the truck, there were multiple scratches and dents on the vehicle. We also noticed that the rear, inner, driver's side tire was deflated . We had to go to a 3rd Uhaul location at Uhaul Moving & Storage of Terrace Oaks after we noticed that issue. The tire was at only 10 PSI when it was supposed to be at 80 PSI. Connie Mckee and her staff were very friendly and quickly checked the tire pressure in all of the tires and even checked under the hood. As for the incorrect charges, we called the Uhaul agent who told us that they were not able to remove the insurance charges from our bill because it was an "active order" and that we would have to ask them to remove the insurance charges at the drop off location. At the drop off location, they stated they also would not be able to remove the insurance charges and contacted uhaul again for us. Uhaul stated that they will investigate our issues for us and to expect a response within 72 hours. During the truck rental period we contacted uhaul several times for assistance over the phone and had to wait over 10 minutes on hold before someone answered our call.
Sannee DHave the person running the location care about customer service. I waited an hour and a half past my pick up time for her to show up and give me the key. When she did arrive she never got off of her phone and just walked in handed me the key and continued her phone conversation the entire time. No apology for waiting outside in 100 degrees weather or anything. Absolutely terrible customer service.

LUIS IThe site is not open at several times during the day when it was suppose to be open. Several other problems occurred with the rental and the young lady refused to handle the problems.
stewart sThe bad review isn't for this location necessarily but for U-Haul in general. I made a reservation several weeks ago (Res#22475867). On the day of my reservation, 20 min before I was suppose to pick up, the representative at the Almeda Location in Houston called me to let me know that they did not have a truck available for me and that I had to go to the San Jacinto location (Downtown). This would have been a small inconvenience but when I arrived at the new location there was about 20 people in line. After waiting 2+Hours to pick my truck, I was told that the location could not honor my reservation. This was extremely troubling and I had to scramble to make a reservation at a differently location. I had to Uber to the other location since I was dropped off at this one so that cost me more money than I originally anticipated. The worst part is that I had movers that I booked though the U-Haul reservation process. The movers were reserved for 2 hours but I had to be late due to the error from U-haul, which cost me more money. This location was able to help me last minute and I am grateful for that but it did cost me $60 more to book with this location. Someone please reach out to me to make it right. I have attempted to call several times but it hasn't been received. Can someone please call me directly at 918-584-9572. Thank you.

Glenn S1. Waited in the store about 45 min to get the Keys. Yes, I was the only customer in the store. 2. Store Owner lied to me that having SafeMove is mandatory and have me pay it although I was not interested to getting one. As per website it is not! 3. Found broken glass pieces in the truck. Lucky me and my friends (who helped me moving) were not seriously cut. We cleaned it as soon as we found (really dirty truck) 4. as per the Miles meter reading I only used 12 miles (which is in my final receipt as well). They charged me $16 for 4 gallons of gas. As per website average miles of 10 foot tuck is 12 miles per gallon. The most worst experience I've ever had for sure!!! never going back to this store and will not recommend to any one. I'm sure I wouldn't have gone through such a bad experience with other uhaul store. But this store was too much and I wonder how uhaul has given this store authorization to run uhaul truck business (this store maintains multiple businesses) Uhaul if you are seeing this and want to take actions, here it is Store location: Pronto Packing and Shipping 3354 Chimney Rock Rd Houston, TX 77056

Alexander CI had the WORST experience with Uhual renting a trailer and installing wiring. I had to deal with two different locations with extremely RUDE employees. Will not be using Uhual in the future.
Gabriela PTruck cargo hold was dirty and not cleared after previous use. Hard candies had been left to melt and floors were sticky. Fuel tank was 1/8th not 3/8th as required. Took less than 30 miles to get to res empty mark. There was no joint inspection of vehicle. When called about the issues the representative was rude and said "we dont own the vehicles, not my problem" and when I said I had photo/video she hung up on me. Avoid if possible. Problem was U haul sent me there as it was not my requested location.
Miller VThe personnel were nice. It is a sketchy neighborhood, and they were not planning on printing any receipt until I insisted.
Sidney RThey just told me to leave the trailer and provided no help in closing out my ticket. I had to call in to make sure the call center took care of the fact that I dropped off the trailer.
Lynn DThe location is shady at best. The owner received my keys for a truck and trailer. The vehicle was returned a day in advance. The next day I received a bill for an extra day of usage (despite retuning the vehicle a day in advance). On calling Uhaul I was asked to deal with it with the Uhaul franchise owner. The saga continues. I've rented from Uhaul multiple times in the past. This however was not the experience that I have received from the Uhaul brand, ever. The integrity of the franchise owners can make or break the brand reputation. Hopefully the change is made. Thanks

Renee HThere location is poorly managed. No signals or signs that allow the costumer to show where to park the truck that was returned. I had to call UHaul to have us send a final receipt via email because the attendant that received the truck did not log it in as received and didn't give us a receipt.
Nicolas SThe employee did not point out the specific truck to me, I had to go out and figure it out through trial and error. The credit card machine did not work when I attempted to buy a lock, and then there was not adequate change when I then paid with cash.
Patrick OFirst of all the whole experience with uhaul was ridiculous. They booked me to return the truck 15 miles away from the location I was moving to and then charged me extra because they didn't take into account that the uhaul location was 15 miles from my house. So I called uhaul and after getting the run around and being transferred to 4 different dispatchers they scheduled my drop off to a separate location that was closer. I then went to drop the truck off at that location and got told that there wasn't enough space to store the truck...mind you I just parked it and walked inside to hear this. Now I got back on the phone with uhaul got told to go to a separate location to where once I finally got there they then proceeded to charge me an extra day of rental for extra miles they made me drive and for gas I had to use because they wouldn't allow a reasonable location to drop off. This was by far the worst experience moving I have ever had and I've moved once a year for 5 plus years using uhaul every time.

SAAD EI had made a reservation online and it was not recognized. The person working in the office told me that I could only use it for 2 hours because another person had reserved it which overlapped the time I needed it. The tank was half filled despite that the worker told me it was 3/4 filled. I paid $65 plus gas for a truck that I used for less than 2 hours and I had to rushed my moving people. Due to this experience, I don't think I would ever return to this place to rent any vehicles.

Larry EI don't really live in the area per say but I needed a truck quick and this service provided. Costs and experience was pretty standard. Isn't situated in the "nicest" part of town but since you only need to borrow a vehicle for a move it's not an issue.

Alex MI was over charged an extra day even though I returned my truck a little after midnight that night So when I called the next business day, the associate told me I was charged an Extra day,....then she said no that the fee should have been the only charge total for the truck and that the fee from my pickup location should not have happened. Didn't make sense at all Had to call the 1800 # and file for my refund.... 3354 chimney rock location
