I was completely satisfied. I thought the individual who rented the truck to me, both on the phone, and at checkin/out, was professional, suggested good plans, and went very smooth.
Robert MAmazing customer service
Nicholas AIn addition to a missing ramp, poor service, and a dirty cab, the fuel was below the level stated by the clerk and the app. The cost of gas on top of the mileage fee was pretty steep. Renting a Uhaul is not necessarily the economical alternative.
Shari PThe gentlemen at the Pump & Go are friendly, efficient and a pleasure to work with
Brad KToo many parked U-Haul trucks and no room to get around
DALE SThe clerk was really really helpful.
Xavier RLocation owner was great
John RBest U-Haul location in Colorado! Great service,Selection and Extremely Professional! Thank you!
John SHave a wider selection of truck sizes available. The U-Haul app is buggy and difficult to use and needs improvements. The truck was not clean.
Janine ANothing comes to mind regarding improvement. I will say the man who helped me check in was exceptional in his help and courteousness. His name is Shadi. He is the reason I will return to this location. Thank you.
John OVery nice, friendly and efficient staff
David GTaking picture with the app was painful. I had to submit every one 10 times.
Rob WBoth gentlemen very nice and very efficient.
Bradley KMy reservation listed the wrong address. I went to the Corner Store at 585 South Boulder and they directed me to the correct location. This was a bit frustrating, as it led me to be late for my reservation.
Corinne JEverything from pick up to drop off was quick and easy. This made getting our move done in our short window seamless.
Murphy BThe older clerk at pick up was rude and very condescending. It was my first time ever renting a uhaul and when I mentioned it he didn't bother explaining anything. He just over stated the need to fold the blankets neatly when returning the truck. Never once explained the process nor asked if I had questions. Thankfully the younger gentleman when I returned the truck (and blankets that we didnt even end up using), was friendly and explained the process a bit more to me. Pickup and my review would be different if the second gentleman had been the one to help me. The only reason I didn't rate lower was due to him. Thank you to him for having basic human courtesy and ability to talk to everyone equally.
Olivia PI rented the 26' truck several years back from another career. I've only rented an open trailer before and so much has changed since then I'm not really sure how to rate. Warning of how bumpy it was before loading would have been good. I almost turned around and came back - I thought there was bad gas in it. The steering fluid seemed low, it was making that noise that lack of steering fluid makes. I brought it back early and with more gas than it had, but no discount! If I didn't make plans to be picked up the day I dropped it off, I would have brought it then next day, that would have burned up the excess gas. Not cool on Uhaul's part. Ya'll think make it so easy to gauge how much gas to put in, but the scale thing didn't really work. From what I could figure out its about 15 gallons per tick tick being 1/4; 1/2; 3/4; Full;, but that is not correct. The fuller it gets the less it needs to achieve the next tick. Times are tough and ya'll charge a lot if people bring it back below the line of when they pick it up. May want to reconsider your polices on this and think about the folks that rent from you. Also, even though I had extra coverage, sounds like some people have a hard time figurine out how to drive large or even small trucks. Maybe find out peoples history and experience - reward those that didn't need the extra insurance. Sure jack up the prices for us, but give folks an incentive to learn how to drive it so there is no damage. I'm putting poor because you won't let me move forward with my review. This is rediculouse. that's why you all don't know what your customers really think. also putting no to recommend this location, you have Not applicable as an option but don't let you customers actual pick this. I HOPE YOU DON'T HOLD THIS BRANCH ACCOUNTABLE FOR UPPER MANAGMENT'S POOR DECISIONS.
Nanette dThe front desk worker was friendly. He had the zeal and passion to help the customers
Apoorv VU-Haul ripped me off overall. Hidden fees.
JOHN WThe facility is super clean and the folks there are very friendly and helpful. I’ve rented Uhauls twice and will go back again!
ron sGas tank was empty when we picked up the truck, spent $60 to fill the tank and didn’t even use a quarter of that gas. Spent as much on gas as it was to rent the truck, was disappointing. Truck also smelled of cigarettes.
Kayla BOne of the best uhaul places to go to
Neal MI rented two 20 ft trucks and a car dolly. Had to go to three different location to get the equipment. One of the 20 ft trucks had a flat tire with a nail in it when I arrived to get it. And the solution from the person renting the truck was to just fill the tire with air. Go straight from there which was in Boulder to Denver to get car dolly. Had to refill the tire. The car dolly they was planning to give me had no lights so they gave me a different one. Called me two hours later wanted me to bring it back to Denver because it was missing a pen in the emergency brake system and should have never been rented. Since I am a U Haul employee that happens to work at the Fleet Maintenance center I agreed to take it in to there to have the pin put in. Picked up the second truck the next day in Aurora. Both trucks rented for five days. Both going to same place one way to Arkansas but both trucks for some reason was not able to be dropped off at the same location in Arkansas. One rental came to a total of $1851.65 and same truck same amount of days same mileage came to a total of $2235.99. And can’t seem to get any explanation of what or why the difference. It clearly was not the car dolly since that was reserved with the truck that was cheaper and since it had to be picked at a different location was charged for separately at a total of $356.00. Before we left with a truck with a nail in the tire out of state we did have a service truck come out and change the tire since I’m less then two hours we had to put air in it three times. And that was the only part of renting this equipment that went easy and smooth. Not to mention the reservations was made for this stuff three weeks prior to getting them. And was told days after making the reservation that we would be called the day before picking up the equipment if they was going to even have the stuff and where to pick it all up at. So what is the purpose of making a reservation if you don’t even know until the day before if you will even have the trucks. So no I would not recommend U Haul to anyone and that says a lot since I work for U Haul.
Tammy BA+++++. Really good shop. Owner/operator clearly cared. Far better than most. Will do again.
William KThe staff at this location is always great. 10/10 for them. Truck DC1202W was clean on the interior and cab. Things ran smoothly for the first part of the day. Everything seemed well maintained. I use this specific truck for work doing home standing/interior design on a regular basis. As documented in my roadside claim I had issues at 8PM on Monday (of Memorial Day weekend); Our mechanic was punctual and was able to deduce the situation quickly. He had to make two stops to get the correct items for repair. I appreciate his help, also no complaints for him. This was a massive inconvenience on both a personal and business level and I would like my request for a full refund for this booking to be acknowledged. My company has rented 150+ uhauls in the last 3 years, I rely on your service to make my business run correctly. Thank you, I am available for a call at 303-918-5084 or by email at scout@decorcoloradostaging.com. -Ali ‘Scout’ Farrell, owner of Decor Colorado Home Staging & Redesign
Ali FFantastic service!
Ben GAll the staff at Pump n Go were very helpful and courteous. 5 Stars
James TTruck was given to me with four gallons in it. If you want me to put it to a quarter tank it should be given with a quarter tank.
Zachary SI was overcharged for this experience. The truck had the fuel gauge overreported when I checked in. I took a photo of the fuel gauge and showed it to the owner. He agreed that the fuel gauge was reported incorrectly and told me to indicate the overage amount on the app, then I was charged for the difference anyway. I also declined the $15 charge online and somehow it wound back up on my contract and he claimed he had no way to remove. I was told that he would hold the final charge so I could call corporate to fix the issue and the charged me at 5:30 in the morning anyway. U-haul loves to cheat their customers and this has been no exception.
Daniel CI couldn't sign in on your app. It kept timing out. The gas station attendant could make if work either. He used his Ipad to sign me in. Don't make your customers sign themselves in. I hate it when corporations move work they used to do onto customers.
Daniel REmployee that rented me the Uhaul went above and beyond. The Uhaul transit van had snow on it and the employee came out and cleared it off for me. Not only the windshield but the roof as well. I asked for a snow brush for me to do it and the employee did it for me. World definitely recommend this location.
Alex HExcellent customer service. And the I haven’t seen a U haul that clean in the cabin and the back of the truck for hauling. I will definitely be recommending this location.
Michelle BI rented a UHaul van on January 23, 2024, and gratefully award 10 stars for this wonderful location at the Pump and Go in Lafayette, CO!! The owner/proprietor was extremely kind and patient with this non-techie grandma who needed to rent a van to move a bed to a new location. He helped me with the electronic process using my cell phone at the beginning of my adventure and then kindly carried a heavy bag from the rental van to my vehicle when I was done with the move. I appreciate his kindness to a frazzled Senior in a midstream move. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and many blessings to you and your family in the New Year!! Best, Anjuli
Anjuli AI’ve rent a lot of vans for my business in the last four months, this is by far my favorite location. The staff is so nice and helpful. The vans are extremely well maintained. And they have excellent snacks, drinks and smokes. Five stars!
Ruth MThe staff was very nice and the truck was clean but the truck did not drive well. At 55 MPH it started to bounce and jerk very badly. This was not road bumps, it was something in the truck. The transmission, or suspension or something. When I reported it to the staff, they spent a fair amount of time trying to convince me I was wrong. I think I finally convinced them it was beyond normal truck bounce. All in all, the truck did what I needed it to do, it got my stuff from A to B but unless I learn that a problem was found and repaired, I would not rent from here again.
Mark OThe online check-in process could use work. It was a bit annoying and difficult to to navigate
Drew GCustomer service here is fantastic!
Ruth MI paid for 2 mattress covers online that they never gave me and was charged for gas when I filled it to the line that i received it at. The guy marked it as good and when I left I got charged $20.
jacquelyn sThe engine light was on... It was OK, but should probably been noticed before we had to take the truck.
Deborah HWhen you ask a person to take a photo of the odometer, IPhones can’t capture the full odometer number. Something in the technology.
alexendra mVery easy!
Todd ALocation changed last minute. Terrible customer service. Will not use again
Erick SDrop Off was fine.
Robert TGreat customer service
Mark CThe 24 hour check in service is unnecessarily difficult and very poorly designed. It was unclear to me that the rental had expired because we were trying to check in a little late; this would be understandable, but we spent almost half an hour trying to figure out how to check in when what we really needed to do was get a new rental. After that, the system for verifying a driver would not take my photo of myself or my drivers license, so we had to get help from a friend to drive and used their time. Computer aided business is sometimes more efficient, but most of the time it just makes everything harder on the user.
elizabeth bVehicle was towed so no comment
jeffrey sProprietor is extremely helpful, kind, and hardworking. He has just started his new UHaul franchise and wants to give his customers the best possible experience. The location will benefit when they put up some UHaul signage so that customers trying to find the location can more easily see it is affiliated with UHaul. Search Lafayette Pump & Go in navigation software to find location. Highly recommend this proprietor as an individual — he is doing his best within an imperfect UHaul corporate reservation system.
Teresa WThe guys at this location are very friendly and helpful.
