JOSHUA BI made this rental reservation only one day in advance and my preferred location did not have the trailer I needed available. However, the Pump & Go U-Haul Rental location did and it was a fairly convenient location. Pump & Go is a convenience store that rents U-Haul equipment as a side business. There was only one man working when I picked up the trailer at 0830 and he was busy with a steady stream of convenience store customers. So, I had to wait until he had processed sales with several people before he could look up my reservation, etc. Fortunately, I am familiar with how to hook up a trailer, but I was sent out to hook up the trailer on my own and the gentleman came out to check on me as I was finishing up. Had I not known how to do it, I would have had to wait longer until he was available, and then convenience store customers would have had to wait to check out while he was hooking up the trailer. It was a similar situation with the return that evening; only one person working (a different guy) and I was sent out to disconnect the trailer, etc., on my own. I completed check-in using the mobile app. While this was not a huge deal, the level of customer service was lacking in comparison to previous trailer rentals at other U-Haul locations, where check-out/check-in was more focused and a location rep generally did the hook up and disconnection tasks. This location will do in a pinch, but there are better alternatives within 10 miles.
TERENCE BWhile the place to pickup was fine, the rented 26' truck was a little hanky. While the truck was clean, I was already down the road when I noticed a check engine light on. Also thought I was getting a rear view cam, but I never found one (just had to rely on the side mirrors). Any time I drove above 45 miles an hour, the whole truck would shake and shimmy - so I literally moved with all my belongings an hour away keeping it under 45 mph. That being said, the truck fit everything we were hoping to move and it all arrived safe.
Brett DI had scheduled my pick up for 6:30 AM & planned to do an online pick since they opened at 7 AM. The truck was not staged & ready for my scheduled time. So I had to wait until after 7 AM when the pick up location opened. Not the biggest deal but still disappointing. The rest of my experience at this location was great.

BRETT SI drove a total of 13 miles for moving and so I only put in $3 for gas but in the end was charged for 4 gallons of gas for an extra $20 on my bill. Not happy about that at all and am now hesitant for future dealings with this Uhaul location.

KENNETH WLess likely to recommend this pick up just because of way station is situated. Challenging to get back into parking lot depending on which direction you’re coming from. A larger truck is more difficult to maneuver through this area as well
Sara GMy experience was very disappointing with this vendor. The equipment was great, but the vendor charged me for Safe Trip insurance even after I declined it multiple times. When I went back to him (same day of my rental) to dispute the charge and ask for a refund he said I chose to have the coverage and that it was my fault, even though he checked me in on his iPad and only allowed for me to sign the contract. I feel he is dishonest and should not be licensed to provide rentals for UHaul.

When trying to explain to the manager, I feel they did not even want to hear our side. Zero critical thinking whatsoever that it could’ve been possible that their staff made a mistake.

SCOTT GThey committed FRAUD by charging me for a utility dolly that they never gave me then accused me of not returning it. The owner then said he would refund me the $127 because they were not missing a dolly in their inventory but then he sent me a receipt via email that still showed I was charged $127 for the dolly. I'm pressing fraud charges and will never use this Uhaul location ever again. They should not be a Uhaul location because they're crooked and treat customers very badly. Moving is a stressful enough time and customers don't need extra stress like fraudulent charges.

KEVIN MIt’s a crime that you charge $1.39/mile (sat) + Truck Fee + Full tank of gas. I use UHaul for a side business but may not be able to afford the rentals in the future.

Julio MThe uhaul staff connected the equipment incorrectly. This resulted in the trailer coming off the hitch and damaging the towing vehicle. I didn't check their work, I should have. This could have been deadly, fortunately the trailer detatched at a low speed and no one was hurt. Improve the training, require the use of a checklist, or plaquard the hitch to
KENNETH DThe online check-out process is excellent. There was one hiccup where my phone’s browser wouldn’t activate the camera when taking pictures of the vehicle during check-out, but it worked when I tried it a second time. Overall excellent though.
Robert GEverything went great! The only problem I ran into was that I wasn’t given a key for the lock on the back of the truck. Other than that, the whole process was easy and the truck drove great in the snow!

Jill LThe pickup location did not call to confirm the timing as indicated when I reserved the trailer. I reserved the trailer 4 weeks in advance and couldn’t possibly know the exact time I would need the trailer. I listed noon as the pickup time, but couldn’t get to the location until 3. When I arrived I was told because I didn’t show up at noon the trailer had been leased out to another person. The pickup location never called to confirm the pick-up time, AND never called before leasing the trailer out to another person to confirm I didn’t need it. After some back and forth I did have a different trailer leased to me, but was told that it’s going to be at a huge inconvenience to the vendor. The wire for the trailer lights was also frayed and one wire was cut which caused the trailer lights not to work. The vendor did not have a replacement wire. He then went on to tell me to drive the trailer off the lot and call U-Haul to tell them that the lights do not work. Seriously, he wanted me to drive a trailer off his lot w/o functioning lights. It was until I started calling other U-Haul locations when he told me he had tape and could fix the wire. He was able to do so and the lights did end up working the entire time I had the trailer. I would never recommend this U-Haul pick up place to anyone. No communication, ill-equipped, unethical, and indifference to customer safety.
