The owner said he was having trouble with Uhaul computer system which caused delay in checking us into system. With the Uhaul app already having all our information why does it still take so long to pick up your equipment. Don’t blame the dealers , seems like Uhaul could make their system more like an airport checkin

I rented the 26 foot truck. They put the small van out for me too take. I had to travel to another location to pick up the one I reserved. I was then told I would get a $50 credit. Didn't happen. I was still charged full price.

The price was almost $300.00 more than the week before for the same thing, even though I had reserved it last week. I haul said each individual dealer sets there own prices. But quality muffler said uhaul raised their rates, someone is lying! So I took the truck back and asked them to credit my account. Josh was quite rude about it. I will never use uhaul again and I cannot recommend uhaul or quality muffler in Draper to anyone, the worst experience ever!

While the rental location was fine, my treatment by Uhaul was NOT. I returned my rented van 2 hours before my deadline. About 30 minutes AFTER my deadline, I get a text message from Uhaul saying I haven't checked in my van (it was after hours), and to check in via a link, otherwise I'd get charge $20. I tried and tried to log into the link on my phone, but the page only reloaded over and over. I sent the link to myself via e-mail, but that only took me to my order summary. Finally I gave in and created a Uhaul account, but even still I couldn't return my truck online or log in via my phone. So I had to download the uhaul app, THEN log in, and THEN it gave me the option to return my Uhaul. But it wasn't done there. to return the truck, I had to physically be at the GPS location of the rental facility. So I had to get in my car and drive back there to return the van. Except I couldn't finish the process because to return the van, I have to enter the number of miles. I couldn't do that because the van was locked and I'd already returned the keys. It was an entire hour of frustration to complete a task. I don't see the $20 charge on my account, and I have no idea if it'll come, but I wouldn't be happy if I do get a charge when I not only returned my can early, but went so far out of my way to complete a tedious task that I was unaware needed doing, and was a total pain to do.

$50 guarantee is worse than no guarantee at all. Many of us who plan a major trip based on our contract with you find no assurance with a $50 offer, not when hundreds of $ are invested and days spent all relying on you having the trailer you promised at the location agreed. I keep thinking you would rather pay me $50 than do extra ordinary service in making sure you will deliver.

I was told that I could just put my key in the drop box and then check out online. I was then charged a fee. Absolutely ridiculous. I was then told by a customer service rep they would call me back and they never did.

The location is quite difficult to get the big truck in and out of. Also the online pick up/drop off process was a little difficult & tedious to figure out, but I finally got it. The truck ran well, it was very new and I had no issues.

The lot is overcrowded with trucks and trailers. There is no room to park, let alone turn around. Trying to return the rental was a joke because there was no room. The average person would have had to leave the unit on the street.

Vehicle was not ready at the guaranteed time. Had to weight 30mins. Vehicles were parked in such a close terrible manner that I had to walk the dolly all the way down the street to come in behind the row of trucks to get it in the truck. The guy at Quality a muffler was an ass and not helpful at all. Didn’t help me with the dolly, didn’t take me out to the truck, didn’t help me back it out of the shitty condition they had it parked in.

The lot was crowded and difficult to navigate there was not anyplace to park without blocking numerous vehicles. The proprietor was aggressive and insulting I had forgotten to replace the dolly in the back of the truck and missed a few cloths that were covering my furniture. I left the truck and returned home to get the moving dolly and cloths that were missing. The proprietor called me 6 times in an hour demanding and harassing me. I returned immediately (a 20 minute commute each way) and told me he had charged my credit card for the missing item and told me I had to return it (the moving dolly) to the previous location in Murray. The Proprietor in Murray accompanied by a U haul Manager assured me that we were square and that there would be no further charges. two months later I received a request for payment on an unsigned promissory note for $116.44 I spent over an hour working with U Haul Head office to dispute the charge. I was promissed that There would be no further billing or that if there was I would be refunded. This experience was very abnormal and I will be very wary of doing business again.

The biggest issue was I rented the truck to tow a trailer and couldn’t even use it because the hitch was locked on the truck and the ball wasn’t the correct size. I had my own hitch (that I made clear to the person taking my order) and planned to tow with it. Needless to say. Rented a truck I couldn’t use. Used up gas and never even moved my trailer. Customer service was useless in helping. The location has no after hours phone number on file. The road side assistance for uhaul was also useless. I’m out $150 and have to rent another truck.

The chains were left far too loose and dragged along the highway as we drove. Fortunately, we checked them during a gas station stop, realized the problem, and tied them up with a bungee cord before it turned into a disaster - but by then, the chains had been worn down to almost nothing. If we'd drive any further without correcting it, they would have snapped.

I know that it is not the locations fault, but they did not have my truck when we got there. The individual that had it did, did not return it on time. They did fin another truck at a different location but I lost over an hour going to the new location.

We have never had a rental experience with Uhaul that has gone smoothly, as planned or without issue. Really quite frustrating. The only reason we return year after year is because there are no other rental truck options. Ugh. Unimpressed, as usual.

The owner was otherwise nice and respectful to me. He also wished me good luck and safe travels before I left.However, here is why I am rating it as a bad customer experience for me. I checked in online for faster turn around time and went to the UHAUL Draper store in Utah. As I entered the store, the owner told me it will be a minute. There was no customer at the store at that point. After 10 mins of wait, he started entertaining other customers who came after me. Anyways after I waited for 25-30 mins, and all customers who came after me were gone, he said now it’s your turn. Sad to see this kind of preferential behavior from UHAUL. Also, when I asked if I can leave my car parked here for an hour so I can drop uhaul at my place first. One of the store worker showed me a parking spot where I can park. Around the same time, the owner came back from behind and started getting mad at his worker. I don’t exactly know what he said to his worker but I could clearly see he was not happy. Only thing I could hear is his worker saying” I only allowed him is to park there, isn’t that ok” . The worker was really nice. I ended up parking at the same spot. Anyways I am not coming back to this location and won’t recommend it to my friends.

Make it so that you can return the vehicle after hours WITHOUT having to go to a website (which did not work well), download an APP, take a picture of the mileage and fuel level and then drop the key AND the CONTRACT into the drop box. Way too much! The Web URL that you're directed to should take you directly to a RETURN VEHICLE landing page. Same with the App. There should be no more than ONE click to get where you need to go. I had to hunt around the App to find it, and after taking the picture, there was nothing to confirm that I had actually done it correctly. Not very well designed.

Trailer was full of construction debris. Lots of Sheetrock dust. Vehicle had light issues that I was able to fix prior to trip. Had blow out on road. Service was fast and efficient and only list about an hour of time. Roadside assistance operator and service tech were great.

Vehicle had to be maintained after truck had been loaded. Because it took so long to get help since nobody maintained the vehicles and tried to give excuses as to why they don’t maintain them, my help had to leave, only leaving a small number of people there to help. We expect so much more from uhaul and their chosen locations. They let us down. We want a partial refund on our rental to remedy this.
