Original truck assigned would not turn on. Thankfully by the time we finished the long process to do the online pick up the facility was open. The person inside was able to swap our truck for a different one. The new vehicle worked but sounded like it was going to break down. The transmission was struggling.

The manager refused to answer any questions. Kept repeating just use the app. We chose the pick up before it was open. Poor choice bc I had to drive back to get the blankets and dolly. They were suppose to be in the truck. Then we have to go back again to return the key bc the key won't fit in the return drop box. They also tried to give me a dolly that didn't roll right. When I asked if I could get one that worked a little better he said I don't know why you think the other ones would be different. Never again.

The reason my drop off experience was poor due to customer service sending me to 3 different locations then thinking I was going to pay for extra miles. No one was organized at all I will not be getting a U-Haul from you guys anymore

It was just a park and drop off location. It would be helpful if there were specific parking spots that were marked for the U-Haul trucks. It’s a busy lot, we had to ask a random delivery driver where the trucks park because it was not in our drop off information.

Since the system won’t accept not applicable for the personnel question, I selected no. We used remote pick-up and drop-off so we didn’t interact with anyone. When we returned a call about a change in pickup location, that lady was very helpful. We are very pleased with the entire process and will use U-Haul again when we move.

Second time to drop off at this location and no assistance in unhooking the trailer. Drop-off in Johnston county NC is challenging. There appears to be a glut of trailers and many locations refuse to accept a trailer. On the plus side, this location will take a trailer.

All locations setup through 800 number. First surrounded by road construction with all roads blocked with no visible route to access and the phone was not answered. Second asigned location 20 minutes away refused drop-off of the trailer. 800 number attempted to assign me back to the first location which I refused. Third location 25 minutes away accepted the trailer. No assistance to uncouple a very heavy trailer. No access to restrooms. During the travel between locations I drove past many uhaul locations which I am told were full and would not accept the trailer yet the lots visibly had empty spaces. The return system is broken! What should have taken less than an hour took almost three hours. The 800 agents work with info available. The locations seem to be arbitrary and not updating status.

gentlemen did not understand my needs. He had me returning the item to North Carolina, and I wanted to return it to South Carolina caused a lot of unnecessary issues and more than doubled my price.

When i first received the truck it had 73 miles and i filled it to 88 miles. I shouldn’t be paying for gas if i filled it more than it already was. I dropped the keys in the key box before taking the picture so i was only able to take pic of odometer but if you check before next family uses it should say 88 and that will still be above the fuel it had. and i returned it way ahead of time so do i get recompensated for me leaving it now at 1am instead of 2pm ?

The bed of the van was covered in sand or light colored dirt. It did not affect my belongings or anything though so I did not mind.

Unable to do early pick up. Couldn't get an internet connection on my phone. Had to wait an extra hour for the store to open, but everything went well after that.

First, there is no signal service in this location. Our family has Verizon, my phone was over 90% charged, but I could not log in. The bald guy saw us come in, but didn't acknowledge us. While my son and I struggled to get any signal, another man came in picking up a vehicle. His wouldn't work either. The guy had no clue as to where the vehicle was parked, the key wasn't working to get in the lock box. The website is an absolute nightmare. Pictures wouldn't load for our licenses or for the pictures if the vehicle. This was NOT easy or fun! I will never use location again, but more importantly I will not use the app uhhaul forced me to use. If uhaul wants customers to use an app, then use one app for everything! Uhaul has a variety of apps creating greater confusion. Uhaul needs to OVERHAUL the app making it user friendly and intuitive. If you make people use their phones that haul BETTER have a GREAT internet signal It It was not a good experience at all. It was horrible from beginning to end.!

Just pull up the link given in your text message and follow those directions before going to the destination. Also my pick up location was over the mileage of my drop off location and I was charged for the extra miles. Not good.

We requested and paid for moving blankets and there weren’t any in the truck that we picked up before business hours. This made our move substantially difficult and some of our items were damaged as a result. To add insult to injury, Uhaul customer service was unable to credit me for the charge over the phone. They called the pickup location while I was on hold and then told me the refund would need to be done in store. I drove all the way back to the pickup location only to have the shop owner tell me that he couldn’t do it. Still don’t have a refund.

check equipment after each return for cleanliness. The cargo van was filled with Dog hair and smelled horrible. The smell intensified with the air conditioner on so we had to rid with the windows down. Also, dog hair was flying everywhere with AC on as well. Very BAD experience.

There was only 1 guy working and he had other customers so I had to go out and gather the blankets and dolly from other trucks. And the dolly I ordered wasn’t available although he did substitute an appliance dolly, but I had no appliances to move. And I grabbed a bag with blankets but there were only 5 instead of twelve but I didn’t find out until the next day.

The van looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There was trash in the door, and cobwebs on the mirror. Plus the back of the van had a ton of dirt in it. The ease of the pickup and location was good.

The truck shouldn't have been on the road. The driver side mirror was shattered and unusable. The back of the truck was full of water and I had to clean it out before I could use it. When I put it in reverse, the truck took off, even with my foot on the brake. The only way to stop it was to put it in park. Unfortunately this was on a Sunday and the location was closed so I had to deal with this truck.

This location was so far out of my way that I passed three u-haul locations on the drive. It also wasn't open during my time that I requested so I couldn't pick up my mattress covers I paid for.

I requested a 20ft truck and I was booked on a truck share by a uhaul rep without being advised the location did not open until 1 hr later. Location had no hours posted, did not answer Took me 1 hr to get my truck through their App....when I returned, the location indicated i was lucky to even get the truck, uhaul site was down all day. Bottom line, its harder and harder to get good service from uhaul and almost impossible to these days do do anything face to face. Every time i rent from them, there is a new change or procedure that they add more work to the customer. Im sorry, but i do not work for you Uhaul....remember ?... im the customer.

The place being open when we are scheduled to pick up would be nice. They were 10-15 minutes late. The uhaul site was down, which took more time, but the gentlemen was very apologetic and clearly felt the frustration of further delaying our pick up. He didn't give us the wire harness to connect the lights until we went in and asked about it. Knowing he had that, if needed (which we did) would have been helpful. Overall, it worked out.

The store was fine, the gentleman working wasn't very personable. When I decided to down grade to a smaller truck, the clerk didn't give me any information on changes to my contract. A big difference as to now my rental was only 1 day instead of 2, my mileage was alot less and the biggest was the fact the rental office for return wasn't open, so I was charged for an additional day. So much for being helpful & knowledgeable.

Not easy to find. Poor customer service, filthy truck. We looked for the location for at least 40 minutes tried calling several times and could not get an answer. I was sent to a voice mail that was unable to receive messages. When I called the corporate office they said they had contacted the location online and that I would receive a call shortly to help me find the location, I never received that call. I called the location for a forth time and finally received an answer from an employee with a very Nasty attitude from the moment they answered the call. The truck was absolutely filthy on the inside. I would not recommend this location go anyone.

Exterior was fine. Cab interior needed some cleaning, especially in the cup holders... There were some maintenance issues that the truck needed but they couldn’t really know with out driving the vehicle nor could they actually fix it themselves because they are not an actual U-Haul location, they are a dealer.
