The only suggestion I can make is that a small step stool be offered to "older" clients who might have difficulty climbing into U-Haul trucks! The stretch is a bit much for folks with arthritic or bad knees. Other than that, the service is excellent.

RONALD GThe sales associate at the location was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. My one complaint is that I made the reservation well in advance and the dolly I reserved was not available. The sales representative did inform me the day before pickup but I was unable to secure a dolly for the move which made the process exponentially more difficult.
Elizabeth CI reserved a dolly for a 26 foot truck. when I arrived for my reservation, there was no cell phone service. The truck did not come with a dolly which made loading unbearable. if you’re renting online, they should have the equipment that you apply for if not, somebody needs to let them know. how is it possible to move? Four bedrooms with no dolly. The owner was rude and didn't care about the situation it put us in. Not acceptable for public services.
Jennifer HIf furniture pads are ordered put them in the truck, customer will probably need them. Checkout the equipment before renting it, especially whether side mirrors are functional!

jerry mGuy at the used car dealership in Buckhannon, WV acted like I was cutting into his day. Made negative comments about u-haul. He asked where I got the prices for the boxes and stuff I purchased. Told me, “I paid more for those boxes than you are paying.” I just remained silent. The rear of the truck storage space had dried mud and gravel on it. When I mentioned it, he said, “that was the last guy that used it.”

glen aHad extreme difficulties picking up the truck to go out of town and drop off at another location. Could not do the online check in and had to call 2x to get someone to know what to do. Very frustrating and took 1.5 hours to pick up the truck.

Robert TThe truck had many cosmetic/mechanical issues. The rubber around the door was nearly completely coming off, and kept getting under the brake pedal. The truck had a bad transmission which made it dangerous to drive. A few times the truck stalled while driving. I glued the rubber tubing back around the door, swept out the truck, and filled the gas tank above the half-way point, and was still charged an additional $55 dollars after I was told how much I would be paying when I received my quote. Not a good place.

David CMake sure the interior of the back of the uhaul is clean. Also make sure that there are no extra fees or taxes after already preparing for your trip.
austin mSite was fine. Only truck available anywhere around was a 26' truck. It did not fit in where I needed it too as it was too long, had to walk twice as far to load so did not get moving done because it burned through time and energy faster. The length was not a comfortable ride on the road, it felt like riding a mechanical bull in a bar with the length and it ended up dislodging all my items several times even when secured. In short, need to make sure more options are on hand. Closest place that had one was about 54 miles away.

RANDY CCommunicate the online reservation and contract information to the Pickup Location. Jack at Racen Preowned Auto was wonderful but had to make a couple phone calls to get the information he needed to complete the rental process.

Was told the units were “water repellant not water proof” How can a company sell cardboard boxes and state they are better than plastic totes when having water in the unit ruining contents

I told him what it said online He rudely said I don't know what it said online . If I had the time I would have went somewhere else, not a pleasant experience.

Jeff JGetting into a U-Haul truck: The step-up seems created for tall agile folks. It is hard for folks with arthritic knees (bad knees) to access the cab. Having a small laddered platform to insure older drivers can get into the cab would be very helpful. Additionally, having the self-return procedure online is probably good for tech savvy folks, but not so much for folks who are not tech savvy. I found that the timeframe given to complete all the tasks (photos, etc.) was not enough. Time inevitably expired before required tasks were completed, which meant restarting /redoing the process. And, after all the work, uploading photos was not successful, which meant the pictures were taken, but could not be submitted online. However, all in all, it was great having the convenience of having U-Haul in town and it was a godsend for transporting the goods where they needed to go! Despite some setbacks, the experience and convenience was more than worth it! Your staff person was helpful with the retun process the next day. It was good having a person to explain what happened during the self-return process.
