Front desk did not understand when you have a renewable ID that has paperwork entered in the computer made me wait 30 minutes to try to find a different U-Haul place with no vehicle to get there, but was not successful. Called the main management of this facility and he fixed it thank you Sam.

RONALD WWe had issues with our first truck and couldn't get the box open. The customer service people were extremely rude to us on the phone and talked to us like we didn't know how to open a lock. However, once the shop was open they were extremely helpful. If I'm booking, Im doing it directly with them and not the u-haul website or app. The manager of the scheduling department hung the phone up on us. No very appropriate for a company.
CRYSTAL WThe lockbox lock was extremely hard to open. I noticed that the other lockbox had a more modern lock, that would have been nice. There was also no instructions on what to do with the lock, which is more the fault of the app itself. I decided to return the lock to the inside of the lockbox. I hope that was correct. It would have also been nice to have a phone number to call in case of problems. I had trouble with the app and was on hold to Uhaul for 40 minutes. The excessive problems I had with the app and being on hold to Uhaul are not reflected in this location rating. If I was rating Uhaul exclusively, I would give them 1 star for the horrible user experience, including the lost opportunity to include more meaningful information on error messages.

CHAD VAfter I reserved the truck with ONE month of anticipation, they notified me that was not available with only one week of anticipation. They Offered me a truck that was half hour away. After many calls, two days before my moving, they said they had the truck I needed in the location I wanted. I accepted that, went to pick it up only to find that the manager was on vacation and did not left the truck ready. Had to take another size truck, tried to use the app to check in (only option available), the app did not work, had to call costumer service and stayed on the phone for ONE hour. Super stressful and frustrating experience. Last time doing a rental with Uhaul.

KATHRYN TThe app was not working. I had a horrible time checking in and returning the vehicle. There were blankets all over in the back when I picked it up. Not Autohaus’ fault with the app, but it would have been nice to take the smaller vehicle that I saw parked there the whole weekend and if it was parked so I didn’t need to back it up and be flanked by other trucks.
Michelle FI had to go out & pick the right truck. I had to start it up cold. And it was a chilly morning & there was frost on the windshield. Didn't really appreciate having to start out in a cold truck & scrape window myself.

The only thing is I wish they would have done a better checking the tire pressure as it was lower when I got it and the service tire monitor system kept going off in the vehicle and we had to pull over a couple times to double check the air pressure adding on some time to my drive. Overall though fantastic location and people!!
Samantha AI couldn't get the lock open. I called customer service & they indicated "oh, yeah, those locks at the Northfield location stick." I had to spend another 5 minutes in below zero temperatures trying to get the lock undone. Not cool.
Brent KThe inside of the truck was filthy. I was not the designated driver but the driver did not complain about anything else relating to driving the truck. The procedure before picking up the truck when the store is closed (Sat. mornings) seems VERY complicate so we picked up the truck the night before. That process was very good.
judy kYour website repeatedly does not respond during the equipment return process, the wait time to access a person for assistance was unacceptable- 50 minutes in subfreezing cold. will try to avoid Uhaul in the future........

JESSICA PI was provided less than 24 hour notice of my trucks location change from 5 minutes from my home to 45 minutes from my home. In addition to this, I had called and verified that uhaul trucks have connectors for tie downs to be attached on the floor of the truck and was told all trucks have this feature. This was apparently not true and nearly prevented me from transporting the equipment I needed to. None of this is a reflection on the Northfield location, while that staff did seem slightly confused by Uhauls processes, I think that's more on uhaul as a company rather than the employees there because they were helpful, kind, and empathetic to my situation. I am extremely dissatisfied by how this rental was handled by uhaul.
AMBER KThe location and vehicle itself was good. The issue is the app. I was not able to upload images of the odometer and fuel because of issue with the app. I tried for over 30 minutes and there is no 'help' or chat in that part of the app. There is while checking out a vehicle but not check in. I had to create a roadside assistance claim to show an image of the mileage and fuel and check in time. Then I tried from 3pm-9pm to talk to customer service (which is what I was told I had to do from roadside associate) only to find out customer service cannot do it anyway. I was on the phone 4 times with customer service and the phone was disconnected. I was in 4 different locations where I had service, so it was a uhaul phone issue, not my issue. Then had to call back and give my name for a callback over 60 minutes later. Only to be hung up on again. Was not a great experience.
MATTHEW B2nd time I've dropped off at this location. Both times the staff were very nice, however, (both times) two days later, I got a call asking when I was going to drop off the trailer...not sure the check-in process is very efficient. I will definitely use them again as this is where I live, but I will ask for a receipt when dropping off.
Patrick OJust make sure you have the correct ball mount and ball. Although there is an Advanced Auto Parts down the block if needed.

EARL TAutohaus itself was great. UHaul was the issue. The night before pickup, UHaul changed my pickup location to be an hour from the place I reserved two months ago, which was infuriating. Then when I arrived the trailer I was assigned to was crashed by a previous renter. Luckily, Autohaus when the extra mile and got me into another trailer.

Henry LThey offered NO ASSISTANCE with hookup and acted like I was inconveniencing them. They did not come out to check the hookup or check lights. I found out later the left signal/brake light was out. They said when I got the trailer hooked up to pull up front and they would bring the packing blankets out to me. I had to go inside and they just pointed to a pile on the floor by the door. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
