Craig WUpon getting an email the next day I was informed I would be charged another 100 dollars for mileage. This is not taking into account the 50 extra miles given to me previously. I do not have time to call and fight to get the 50 dollar refund, and I bet no one will even approve the credit / respond to this review / or even see this review..... JAMES HThis location is a gas station. The young man who helped us was a gas station employee and not the Uhaul employee, as s/he was late in arriving and never came out to help us. The fellow who helped us get on the road was perhaps the gas station manager because he was extremely helpful, responsible, courteous, personable, and was very interested in helping us get on the road. He is a real asset to the gas station and UHaul. I'm sorry i don't recall his name, but he is an exceptional employee. As for the equipment, the first truck we were going to be assigned at first hadn't been checked in, so we went to another truck. It was completely empty. Neither of the trucks were particularly clean, but they were fine, and the one we took, ran well, for which we were very thankful, as we had a 2 1/2 drive ahead. I would recommend this location if someone needs a truck and this was the closest location that had what they need, otherwise, i'd go to the Cathedral City Uhaul where the employees are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and courteous...especially Alex who answered all my questions and assured me of everything regarding my rental.

Keinya MTerrible customer service. Nobody was there to give us keys or unable to do mobile pick up. Called 4 different times trying to get ahold of someone to get us keys and when a lady finally got me someone she was so rude. And then I got charged $91 when it was supposed to just be $40.. and I didn’t get any receipt emailed me to either.
Ricardo CWas easy to picku up the truck and they were one of the few locations that allowed a one way trip. All other locations showed no truck available but I had to pick up the blankets and dolly at the location I usually rent from and there were several trucks of the size I needed on site.

James HThey just wanted the key. They would not provide me a receipt of any kind, in fact, their words were, "You'll have to deal with it." They didn't check the moving truck for the blankets, the mileage, the gas - nothing (I did take pictures of everything if needed). I would not recommend this drop-off location for anyone. It should not be a drop-off location at all.
David PDrop off location was terrible - I was never given any sort of receipt or confirmation of my return. The guy grabbed my paper work and told me “not to worry about it”….. When I called the very next day to inquire about my confirmation email (which I’ve still yet to receive) they were extremely rude and hung up on me twice! Horrible location

Cosmo PThe team at this facility was GREAT. There was a technical issue that was preventing me from being able to complete the truck return via my mobile device. They were very attentive to help resolve that issue and get me on my way ASAP. They also noticed that I had not received my moving blankets when I picked-up the truck and they proactively acknowledged that fact and removed the charge. They handled the entire transaction very professionally.

Dale WYour TERRIBLE online rental process doesn't work! This was the second time I tried to rent using the phone app and it always has a problem that requires I call customer service...who never answer.
Terry PRun like hell. The person that rented was great. Problem is the homeless living in the uhaul box trucks. The inside and out was not cleaned. There was soap and shampo on the right step with gallons of water and the mirror folded around for them to shower. Leftover food, trash , and cigarette butts left inside the box. The homeless just moved all their items to another uhaul truck. Horrible.
Debra TThere was a homeless man living around (in?) the truck and wanted to finish shaving in the side mirror before we could occupy it. He had his belongings all around. Furthermore, we had to wait about 30 minutes to get the keys, because although we signed up for mobile check in, the attendant had to call the owner for confirmation. Horrible experience.
Brent ZEnsure that the person responsible for renting the vehicles is there when they open at 8, so help can be given to customers who are struggling with the app. Miguel at this location came to our rescue and was exceptionally helpful in getting us sorted out .

Steven PThis location was very disorganized, not very helpful and didn’t make my U-Haul appointment a priority. I arrive at 8am and my specific U-Haul was not on site. I went inside and the worker told me it is all self service and she couldn’t help me. I then went to a different U-Haul location to see if they could help me and they said they couldn’t and I had to go back to my original pick up location. I get there and talk with Miguel who was waiting for the manager to help me. The manager never showed up and I was waiting for an hour. Finally Miguel decided to trouble shooting the whole thing, which I believe he could have done in the very beginning. I finally rented my U-Haul at 9:30am. After a long morning of waiting, and wasting my time.

Elaine KYour online and mobile check-in and check-out service was a complete failure! You allowed me to make a reservation for 3:30 when this gas station closed at 2 pm. Then when I try to check in via the mobile app, you told me I could not and had to come back at 8 a.m. that morning (!) to check in. It was only through the exemplary performance by the manager at this gas station that I was able to complete my reservation on time. Your systems really let him down, and me too! I will not rent from U-Haul again because of this. Good luck getting that fixed.

Anthony RI was scheduled to get the truck at a location near me, and received a call from an employee at that location confirming the truck was there and could be picked up. When i arrived...no truck. Four hours later and fifty miles away...i was given a truck. It cost me time and money to pay two helpers to sit around. The truck was in need of service. Either a wheel was horribly out of balance or bigger problems existed. The cab was dirty and the windows did not close correctly The people were fine, but had no authority...the woman at the first office and at the dropoff were Great...actual thought they cared. The good thing...the truck made it. I was shaken, beat to hell, and bent by the end...but living. Uhaul has always been good to me...but this time it was disappointing. Thumbs down on this one folks

Robert CClose down the location at the windy cove mart in Palm Springs. Their telling customers they have to fill up their rental trucks in order to use them. Because of that I won’t be using uhaul again. I had to change my reservation at the last minute.

SHEILA HMiguel who acted as the U-haul representative was completely unprofessional, overwhelmed and exhibited behavior unbecoming of any manager of any brand. His communicative abilities are substantially lower than what I'd expect from a professional in a rental environment. Lastly, his demeanor and responses support my belief that he's entirely unhappy with his position, and is strictly concerned with doing the least amount of work possible. Did I mention Miguel's rude behavior? He has no business working in customer service, especially since he hasn't been truly trained in a manner consistent with U-haul's company culture.

Patrick CPick up location of truck was not the same as the UHaul store, as I was taking an Uber to the store I then had to call for another car and wait to travel to the correct pick up place. It would be better to inform customers of precise location of truck, rather than the hunting to track it down.

Anthony AWe reserved the truck two weeks in advance and checked in the night before online. However when we went to pick up the truck we learned it had been broken down for a week. The location manager called the district manager and they had no viable options other than suggesting we traveling 20 miles away to get another truck. We ended up having to use a smaller truck and make multiple trips, which took all day. The manager said it was corporate U-haul’s responsibility to find us an alternative since they knew the truck had been broke down for a week. The manager was nice and apologetic but that didn’t help our situation. We were stuck and had to move that day as we were flying out the next morning. I don’t know who’s fault this was but it was a major failure of basic customer service since someone knew the truck had been broken down for an entire week, plus they still let us check in online.

Jeanne SWhat’s really crappy about this method of renting is I do all the work. Which was full of problems, extra fees, and no cost savings. I’ve been a very good uhaul customer but no more. I feel like it’s turned into welcome to My business you do the work and pay me what I want. Total crap. Not doing business with Uhaul again.
