Disappointed with the overall experience as I booked a 10' truck weeks ago and was informed the day prior that both the location I confirmed for pickup and the size truck were not available. Customer service rep that called was rather dismissive of the inconvenience the changes imposed on me. She snarkily informed me that U-haul doesn't guarantee the location nor vehicle type but rather guarantees they'll find you something somewhere. Might as well quit taking reservations if that's the case. Experienced a late start as well as the truck was not put into 24/7 so I had to wait for the facility personnel . Not your best showing.

Hi , I chose this location since it was a 24 hrs drop off location. The place was closed when I arrived to drop of the vehicle and not accessible due to a security gate and a number pad to open the gate. I was not informed by Uhaul about the security code. I had to wait for an hour at the gate to connect to customer care to get the pin. After I get in there is no way I can get out unless someone else keys in the code again from the outside. It was a bad communication about the details of the drop of location. Please fix this communication gap for the customer who chose to drop off at this location

Jack C | Overall ExperienceThis review pertains to renting from R&B Storage, 2294 Pearl Rd., Medina OH. Easy process for self-checkout and return. Vehicle was clean and ran great. I'll definitely use this location again when needed. Just a few tips for new renters.... 1. If you want to pick up the vehicle after hours (which is 1:00 PM), you'll have to call the business phone number displayed on the gate, in order to get the gate code. 2. When picking up the vehicle, arrive about 15 minutes earlier than when you want to get on the road. The check-out process is a series of questions, and requires you to take pics of your drivers license and your face, etc. 3. Once you're inside the gate, the lock box which contains the vehicle's key is located on the left side of the gate. You have to complete the check-out process in the U-Haul app, in order to get the lock-box code. 4. If you exceed the estimated time, I recommend that you just return the truck as soon as you can instead of calling U-Haul and requesting more time. For example, the first time I rented a vehicle here (May 2024), I soon realized that I would need an additional hour, so I called U-Haul and was charged $37 & some change. From what I've read since then, it appears that it would have been cheaper to just return the truck ASAP and let R&B Storage make their own decision about extra cost. In any case, I highly recommend this service.
MICHAEL BIt was a bit confusing at first, and no employees were there, but when i called the business number, an employee answered and told me the gate code. I then learned that as soon as you submit payment for the vehicle through the U-haul app, you are then provided the code which opens the key box. After this process, everything else went fine and the return process was easy. I would rent from this spot again.
MICHAEL BDrop off was scheduled for 8am but the location didn't open until 9am. Had to call U-haul to get a gate code in order to drop off the truck. Not a big deal but slightly inconvenient.

Even with getting partially reimbursed, I still had to take time out to refuel before even taking the truck to the location. Also, the mobile app crashed right after I received my access codes and I wasn’t able to get access to the truck at least 30 minutes into my usage time. The app needs some work and should be able to store that information in case the app crashes for anyone else.

BROOKE MI had my wife pick the truck up because i unfortunately had a last minute meeting, I told my wife that everything would be ready and she should be in and out without any questions or issues so she did not question the process. The lady who checked her in was not prepared, said her computer would not work, did completed a through walkthrough with my wife and just gave her the keys. The gas tank was empty so my with had to fill the tank before the journey even began and then again before she dropped it off, so i paid for a tank of gas that i should not have. This location should be removed from an approved location, U-Haul company is better than this I hope. Not enough time or space to express my frustration with this experience and my next move may include Enterprise.
Doug BI was not aware this was a UHaul location, from the outside it looks to be a bunch of storage garages, maybe a bigger sign up front might help business, even with the new apartment complex being built next to it, good opp to get those movers business and team up with the property manger.

James KAfter hours assistance. I had a 10 pm return at a storage facility that was fenced in and needed a 4 digit passcode. The code did not appear when I was doing the return on uhaul.com. I tried multiple phone numbers but was on hold the entire time which was a good 90 minutes. Luckily I saw a chat button and tried it. The first person was zero help. While on hold I tried the chat again and a different person (Shanta) assisted me. She was very helpful and was able to give me the code.

Brian RI moved out on 3/17/2021 @ 3:05 pm. Not 3/19. I called the supplied phone number as I pulled through the gate to inform you of my move out date and time. The call to inform you was made with the knowledge that I would be billed for another month on 3/18/2021 if I had not informed you.

Fortunately the proprietor answered the phone and gave us the code. Helpful if we are provided the access code when the truck is confirmed the day before.

Jason KThe check in process for customers like us doing this the first time, self serve… Was a little bit overwhelming and we were having some issues with connectivity and getting gate codes to get into the property… However the customer service reps were excellent in helping us navigate through the process. This was convenient because it was a holiday and was one of the only places around us to rent the vehicle that we needed. Other than that I would always prefer to have an in person experience to take away all the stress from trying to check in using technology… :-) I would definitely use this service in this location again if needed in the future and will be easier than next time.

Edward M | Overall Experience800 Uhaul rep should have been more clear about pick up location. I was inquiring about a location near me and the rep scheduled pick up at a location way out of my way. It probably was the only one that had the vehicle I needed, but I did not know that. Also with 4 or 5 different renters in my area, I feel that could have been discussed more. Location was hard to find. Very small sign. Office was very small and had a bad odor...I could even stand in there. I would not use this location again. Also was quoted a rate from 800 rep and when I called to confirm, it was a much high rate. Would love to listen to the recording. Ended up talking to someone else and received s better rate...waiting to see what is charged to my credit card.

Steve SThe rental van was clean and ran well. However, there was a major issue in terms of communication. Neither the authorized dealer nor UHaul itself told me that I was supposed to use an app to pick up and return the rental van. When I showed up at 3 pm to pick up my rental (after having confirmed my pickup time over the phone with the authorized dealer that morning), the dealer was closed. I tried calling the dealer who never returned my calls. I returned the next day at 9 am and waited another 30 minutes. No one showed up even though the office was to open at 9 am. Only because Uhaul had called me after I missed my first pickup time, I found out about the app, but it was not made clear to me that I needed only the app and did not need to get a key from the dealer's office. This lack of communication set my moving plans back by half of a day and made my move even more difficult than it needed to be. Lastly, when I returned the van, the app said to leave the key in the Uhaul dropbox but there was no dropbox. I also had a lot of trouble with the app because of how it formatted my surname. For future customers, I recommend that you clearly explain that the app should be used and that using the app means you don't need to work with a person but can pick up and return the rental on your own time.

Davina gThe people at R&B Storage are the nicest people I've ever dealt with in auto or truck rental..They are totally helpful and honest.. I dropped a 100.00 bill from my wallet .. It was found by the lady taking care of me in the office.. She contacted me after I had discovered the money missing and I received it back from her this morning when I returned the van.. This is the most powerful advertising you could ever hope for..They are a tremendous boost to UHaul and I will always rent at Uhaul and tell all my friends of your courtesy and honesty. Good Job UHaul!!!!
