Made my reservation for truck pick up at 9am, the location did not open until 10am. I had to wait an hour outside for the keys.

There was bird poop all over on the drivers side window. It would have been nice if this was cleaned before we rented it. Otherwise, great experience.

Just don't even bother with this one. It's a store front in the middle of queens. The U-Hauls are just randomly parked all around the area and it's your job to go find them OR find a non-metered non-towable place to park it. The directions gave the wrong address for drop off and then directed us to "park in the lot". There is no lot. How does U-Haul even allow this? There was no one there to even ask for help and when we finally managed to find a random spot on the street we had to walk all the way back to store front to drop the keys off.

The pickup instructions were totally unclear. It took me 15 minutes of walking around on a random scavenger hunt just to find the van. Then, after finding the van two blocks away, I had to turn around and go back to the primary location to unlock the keys. The drop off instructions tell you to drop of in the “lot” (which obviously doesn’t exist) so I had to drive around for another 15 minutes looking for parking. In the check out process, I had to take a picture to help the next person find the van but only had the option to take one single photo so there was no way to really show where the van was. This was also odd considering it was a requirement for checkout but I didn’t get a photo to show where the van was parked for me.

I am very disappointed at uhaul as they are currently trying to have me pay a violation ticket that was issued to the vehicle after I had returned it and parked at the location that Rani Fast Private indicated to me.

The mileage reading and gas reading were incorrectly billed.The readings did not match my records.

Initial location was unattended, the person apparently called in sick. App was not working properly, when I finally got through the details, assigned van was blocked by another and therefore unable to retrieve. Wasted nearly 2 hours until finally was directed to another location which I had to take public transportation to get there, and then I was able to use as intended. Second location did have a person there and the transaction was smooth.

I had requested, and was confirmed for, a pick-up location in Maspeth when I made the reservation two months prior to pick-up. I received a call from someone who apparently worked at this location two days prior to my reservation date. There was no mention made of any sort of location change, and on the day that I was scheduled to pick up the truck the location in Maspeth is still what showed up on my U-Haul account. I was not notified that the pick-up location had been changed to a totally different one in a different neighborhood 15 minutes away. Apparently, the one I had selected and that had been confirmed had closed a few months prior and U-Haul never updated their system, let alone notified me of this at any point in time until my friend had been waiting at the pick-up location in Maspeth for over an hour.

There is little to no clear street parking available or an indication that you will need to park on the street rather than a lot.

Our truck was a block or two from the location, which wasn't a big deal but it had 2 parking tickets on it that we needed to bring back to the rental desk.

I was really surprised by how expensive it was for less than 3 miles, Price was a surprise. Next time I would take a XL Uber.

There does not appear to be any system in place for describing the exact location of the vehicle. There is not lot, the rentals are in street parking, and it felt like pure luck that I was able to find my rental within a block or so of walking.
