Find another location to rent uhuals out of. Rented a UHaul trailer. The owner was 30min late to the reservation. Then tried to force me to buy insurance which I did not. After that I was told to hook up the trailer myself and he didn't care if it was on correctly. Also when asked to approve photos of the trailer the owner used old photos. This has been reported to uhual and they confirmed the trailer as not been serviced for sometime and that this location has been known for issues. The store was very dirty.Jonathan C.

So I am quite upset with every part of my experience. First off i reserved my truck a week and a half before my move. Then the day before I was told that they did not have a 26' truck wich i needed, so I had to drive 40 miles away. Once i got there she was not there and had to wait 45 mins for her to show up. Once she showed up she was very rude and I had to drive to the other end of town to get the truck. I was told they added milage and that the truck had half a tank of fuel, wich it did not it was at 3/8 of a tank. I was told to bring it back at 3/8 of a tank to make up the difference for me having to drive 40 miles back to the original location to get moving blankets they did not have for me. The original location was not open so could not even get the blankets. Then I dropped off the truck and got charged $12 for fuel when the truck was just under half a tank. The truck smelled horrible and had to drive it 1200 miles. You can look at my history with uhual my job requires me to move every 2 years or so. I am beyond upset at everything it is unacceptable. I know it is only $12 but That is ridicules when I was told 1 thing and brought it back with more fuel then I started with and still got charged. Unfortunately in 2 years when I move again I will be using a different moving truck.Justin P.

We originally scheduled to pick our uhaul up in Port St. Lucie 5 min from our destination. When WE called to confirm the lady said we don't have that truck you have to go to a different location that was1/2 hour out of our way. This put us an hour and a half behind schedule which cause us to have to rearrange our plan. We NEVER received an email stating the change in location. Had we not called we would have gone to the wrong location. The windows were also filthy. Our main issue is not being informed about relocation. As I stated before this caused a major rescheduling issue for us being that we were on a very tight, timing restricted schedule, and this cause us a problem Thank you Michelle DobranskySTEPHEN D.

The owners were very rude made it clear that women from their country would not have any rights to do anything as I have in this country. They were very rude and mean about me being a woman and needing to rent a motorcycle trailer. They told me I had to pay for a new tow ball to put into my hitch even though I had already paid on line. The staff is extremely rude. When I said I was going to make a complaint because that's not the way to treat customers. They start insulting me and making jokes saying "Welcome to America!". This is ridiculous, as they barely speak proper English. Besides, this is not what America is. They are just bullies and should not serve U-Haul customers.Rogerio C.

The truck was unsafe. The belt tensioner and idler both broke and caused the vehicle to loose power steering and coolant circulation. We sat on I95 in SC for 7 hours it took 45 + minutes each time I called customer service. Cell phone cell tower service spotty. Had to have a state trooper sit by with flashing lights . My 70 yr old husband crawled under the truck to advise the dispatcher what parts were needed. THIS WAS AN UNSAFE VEHICLE and could have caused serious injury if my husband hadn't muscled the truck over and shut it off immediately. We sat without water for 8 hours in 100 degree heat. The Promobile tech said he was available all day and could have helped us hours earlier. He got the call very late. It was a frightening and exhausting situation. We were delayed and had to spend two extra nights in a hotel. We contacted customer service and a manager was supposed to contact us but no response or call. BE AWARE OF POORLY MAINTAINED UHAUL TRUCKS? WE ARE LUCKY WE WERE NOT IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENTRichard B.

Did not check in the trailer, just told me to go around back and drop it off. He never checked it never issued me a receipt, just told me they would text me. The text never came, I call the next day and was told the same thing and the text never came. The drop location was behind a small store that only had maybe 4 units and he wanted it in a spot on the grass but there was no room to maneuver and also no one on site to help you off load it - I am a 56 yr old single woman and it did not make me feel comfortable! I rented a trailer on 03/27 and returned on 03/28. I am continuing to receive charges for the Uhaul!!! I called the store and the manager he stated he didn't know what the problem was and said to call 1800-uhaul. First off that's not enough numbers. Not like it hard but I shouldn't have to Google uhaul's number on my own the manager should be able to provide me with that. I have called numerous times and have to wait at least 40 minutes for someone to answer. I do not have time to wait for you guys to answer. I had to select the phone option that I was in an accident so I could finally communicate with someone. In addition to the phone calls I also sent an email that no one ever responded to. So kudos to you guys for your A+ customer service. Luckily, I covered my end and have a time stamped photo showing I have returned the uhaul because the link I was provided with expired so I have no proof of showing I returned it or even my confirmation number, which I also had the foresight to jot down. I have received a charge for the trailer every day since I have returned the trailer on 03/28. The charges totaling over 200 dollars! So I think you can tell from my experience that I am pretty pissed and will NEVER rent another uhaul again!!! I don't know if it is incompetence or straight shady business dealings from this individual who is managing the store and is associated with providing uhaul rentals. WTF uhaul I will never trust you with my business ever again because of the major misappropriation of my hard working funds!Rachel D.

I pointed out that the rear tires were visibly low in tire pressure and the attendant at the store replied, "Are interested in renting the truck or not?" He dismissed my comments regarding the appearance of the tires. Very poor customer service and overall behavior. I ended up filling those tires myself.Seth S.

You could start by providing some customer service and assistance at this location. The attendant did nothing to assist me. He never left the building; just pushed my supplies out the back door dumping it all on the ground then slammed and locked it. There was zero support checking out and returning the equipment. This location was super sketchy. I walk in and the person at the desk just tells me to drop off the trailer â€œin the back.â€ I ask for help unhitching it and he refuses to help. I have to ask a random person off the street to help me unhitch it. I don't receive any paperwork confirming I dropped off the trailer so I took pictures of everything as proof. It's insane that this is even a drop off location. After using uhaul multiple times this is BY FAR my worst experience. Very unhappy.Sara N.

This guy was the most rude person I've ever had to work with as a customer. He hung up on me when asking if he had a car dolly because I wanted to reserve it, he said just tell me the information when you get here. Then ask what time I would be there, I had no idea where he was, I was broke down on the interstate and when I said I wasn't sure what time he hung up on me. I had no choice but to use his place as I couldn't find one close by. His store stunk, played loud Latin rap and sold single beers to very shady people while I waited on him to finish my paperwork. Then he didn't help hook it up or look at the condition or even leave the store, I was amazed Uhaul allowed him to sell their merchandise!! I worried about leaving my wife and daughter in the car while I done the paperwork.Rennie K.

This location wasnt the problem the previous one, my original booking location at cmt with the absent foul mouthed owner swearing, yelling and trashing uhaul because I made a reservation was and this was after waiting over 40 minutes for him to even return to the business and after listening to him yell and berate a delivery driver while making me wait and listen to it for an additional 20 minutesJeffrey M.
Train the employees working the uhaul counter better. It took me 1.5 hours to pick up a reserved trailer. I don't understand why it took that long when I was the only customer in line. The attendant took approximately 25 minutes to process the paperwork; three times longer than my last several experiences. I was his only customer. He did not help hook up or disconnect the trailer, did not inspect for safety or lights. He never left his desk.Michael B.
The pick up time was 9.30 pm. However the cashier at this location stated thay they usually close at 9.00 pm and that I was lucky on that day as he had waited longer than usual. Not easy to find. Limited number of trucks. Clerk wasn't helpful. When picking up the truck for a 24-hour rental, we arrived a half hour earlier than our reservation to fill out the forms. The clerk automatically charged for two days because he indicated the starting time as 10:30 but pickup time at 11:00. When questioned about the two days, he was less than helpful and didn't make clear that by picking up at 10:30, it had to be returned by 10:30. He instead said that one minute more than 24 hours is a second day. We answered we'd wait 30 minutes to pickup rather than pay two days. Only then did he change the return to 10:30. When we did return the truck, he came out and ordered the truck be backed into a narrow parking space between other vehicles. By the time we did that, it was pouring rain, so we went inside to turn in the keys and he wouldn't go out to check the truck in, instead promising to send our receipt later. We told him we had taken pictures of the inside and outside the truck and also the dashboard for mileage and fuel, and had a receipt for the fuel, so the receipt had better agree with our records. The receipt was emailed less than ten minutes later and it was accurate and correct.Corey C.

When I went there a little after 9, they were still closed. I came back after 10 and still they were closed. I spent the next hour trying to find a U-Haul available and when I did, the truck was 45 minutes out of the way.Sarah K.

When we dropped the truck off, we asked the attendant to inspect the truck and check the mileage and fuel level while we were there. He refused, with a very unfriendly and unhelpful attitude, stating he would check it when he had time (although no one else was in the store at this time). As soon as we left, he charged our credit card for a full tank of gas ($74), even though our contract stated we had to bring it back with 3/8 tank of gas, as it was when we received it. We received an email notice about the gas charge, which was not authorized. When we called the attendant about this error, he said we returned the truck empty with no gas and we were supposed to fill it. He refused to listen when we told him he was wrong and the contract said otherwise. Since we had a photo of the tank and the mileage showing it had gas when we returned the truck, we drove back to the drop off location, where we spoke to a different individual, who admitted the error and apologized, and issued a credit for the fraudulent charge. It was extra time and aggravation that could have been avoided had the employee done his job correctly. If the location cannot check trucks when they are returned, they should not be a return location. If you cannot inspect the truck while the customer is present, you should give up the right to assess any charges. We would never want to deal with them again.John H.
