ROBERT RIt would be helpful to know that a code is needed to exit the facility. I dropped my son off to drive the truck. He knew about the code and left. When I tried to exit, I expected the gate to have a sensor and open once I came close. No one was in the office. Thank goodness for cell phones. I called my son who gave me the code and I was able to leave.

Craig KPoor lighting , I had trouble obtaining the lock box code. The help number person was kind of surly but in the end did help after I commented on his lack of assistance. When I returned the vehicle I had the same problem but the representative I spoke to then was extremely helpful.

ROBERT RThis was the WORST rental experience I have ever had. I rented a cargo van online to pick up in MIddletown NJ. I received a call from Charles a couple of days before saying there were no cargo vans available at that location and that I would have to drive 18 miles to New Brunswick to pick up the vehicle. I was also told that the office there would be closed and I would need to use my mobile device to remotely access the van. When I arrived in NB, there was no equipment assigned to my order although it was parked in the lot - the attendant at the location (A Gulf) told me Uhaul was closed and that I would need to go somewhere else. He showed me the keys that were not put in the lockbox and refused to release them to me. I spent 2.5 hours on calls with Uhaul reps in the region who were unable to get the manager at the location to honor my reservation. He refused. I was then offered a box truck 18 miles away and had to drive back to my original location to get that vehicle. I was dropped off of calls with Uhaul representatives, told initially that there was nothing they could do to help me - with NO alternative plan and dismissed because they were 'really busy". I was berated by the Gulf attendant, told to "go somewhere else" and that Uhaul should have told me that they were closed. I was in NJ traveling in from Los Angeles to move my son into college and the stress, disrespect, and incompetence was frustrating and in my opinion surprising coming from such a well recognized brand. I was offered a $50 credit and no charges for mileage - I have not seen the credit to my credit card AND I was charged for and paid overmileage... What should have been a positive moment in the life of our family turned into a disappointing and stressful moment all because of a lack of professionalism, a vendor who was disrespectful and non accommodating and a system that failed us. I would appreciate a direct follow up and a reconciliation to the above mentioned accommodations that were offered.

john oAs usual. Second U-Haul rented in 7 days. Both trucks I had reserved the suggested blankets and Dollie’s. And for the second time jn 7 days they had none of the moving equipment I had reserved and paid for. What’s the point? This isn’t even mentioning the 14 other trucks I’ve rented over the last 6 years and every single time something wasn’t right
