The truck share program was a royal pain. I would've rather dealt with a rude human being. It would've been faster and I might've gotten the blankets I ordered. I originally chose a pickup location where I could deal with a human, but UHaul changed the reservation and did not clarify that this would be an unattended location. I arrived to find the location closed. I called the number and was told by the operator of the location to download the app and checkout the truck online. Hard to do considering there's very little cell service and no wifi at this location. I had to run back down the road to get better service and complete the check out. We had trouble opening the lock box, but finally got it. When I opened the truck, the blankets I had requested and paid for were not there. What a headache!? I've used Uhaul for years. This was the worst experience so far!

maxine gThis is a small business that is customer focused. Although they aren't always in the office, they readily respond by cell phone. Fortunately, he noticed one of the trailer tires were flat. It was likely fine when checked in, but had a slow leak. He couldn't have been more responsive in replacing it. The only minor improvement might be to offer a little more time on the return due to the tire repair. We were signed out at 9am, but didn't leave the lot until after 10am. No problem for us, but it might impact someone else.
DAVID DThe place was clean ,BUT I received a damaged supposed to have been repaired truck (rain came into the truck at the area on truck that had a previous repair Red wing did not know the repair was not up to standards so I can’t blame them they are renters)and the Trailer passenger side break light was out also & was told by Red Wing I can call roadside to my home for that repair & the road side Guy came after almost Ann hour wait due to traffic delay(s) & He had to change connector(s) Out so they will work properly ,turn signals breaking ect…. O’Yes & you company Traffic Department Mgr. Bridget that was put in place to serve your customers needs to be sent back thu her Customer Service , as well as Her Ethics training classes ; because apparently she fell asleep in those classes because Ur Mgr. Rep. Bridget doesn’t know or understands how to speak 🗣️ to a Customer that has put their hard earned money into getting a Rental from the company that employs her.
Johnisha BThere was no U-Haul WiFi for drop off so my app return had to be redone 3 times, and photos weren’t sent because of the 3rd service disconnect. I arrived during regular business hours but no one was at the location, even though posted hours were on the door.

TARA MThe only issue I have is the fact that I put gas in the truck and had it back on a half tank like I received it. I went to the gas station beside the place of business. But yet I was charged for lower fuel. I've never had issues before and still plan to use this company.

When I called the national number the customer service was inexperienced and unknowledgeable about the online app system. The app does not work and delayed me almost 2 hrs for picking up my truck. This event through off my entire move day. Please do better. The employees at the RED king site were the best, but your customer service and app were the worst.

The son never showed up for work and the grandson was more interested in towing cars. He left me waiting for 3 hours and 15 minutes. If I were UHaul, I’d find someone who valued his customers and the UHaul franchise!

Chad SWe originally had booked a 20 ft truck to be picked up in Rocky Mount NC from Price Down Food Mart. When we arrived we were told they didn’t have a 20 ft truck. He had a 26 ft truck but said it was for local use only. We spoke to UHaul customer service and we’re told the closest truck available was in Skippers Va. so an hour later we got to the Skippers location and found we had to redo all our information again online. This proved to be a long tiresome process that was not user friendly.. so we were three hours late starting our move.

I also was charged an extra day, but the application informed me to return the truck on Monday so it could be checked in in person. So I waited a day, then got charged. This was an awful experience.
