I called in for a trailer for availablity on thursday. I was told a trailers were available to rent from Edmonton to Regina. I had not purchased a car yet so i said i would book in the morning. I looked at the car at 930 pm and agreed to purchase the car. i tried to use the app shortly after. App said there was an error ans someone would call me before 10 am. I called in at 945 (as nobody called me) They told me there were no trailers in Edmonton to rent but if i waited another hour.someone would get back to me. I received a notic on the app that there was a trailer available at a location in edmonton at 12. I drove to that locaton. at 11. To receive a call from from uhaul the location will not release the trailer. But if i drove 45 miles north of edmonton i could pick up a trailer in Redwater. I picked up the trailer. I was also told i could return the trailer a day later. was not on the contract. This was a lot of extra stress in the stituation when i was in a city 8 hours away from my home. I was happy i was able to get a trailer. However i cant beleive there were no trailers to use in Edmonton. I was at 2 other locations and they had trailers sitting there.

I was left shoveling snow off the truck at least 2 ft deep in the hood to the top of the truck!!! It was not clean or warmed up for me. Was told I could drop it off at any location and the day of return was told I had to drive it back to Redwater because it was in my contract. There was less gas in it than they said ! Was a complete hassle and will never go back!!!!!!

Drove out of my way to pick up the truck and it had been rented out to someone else. I had to drive an hour away to the RedWater location to pick up a truck there. It not only cost me time but money as well as I had movers waiting. Not impressed. The lady at RedWater was great
Gordon RThey don’t have a functioning printer there so I could not get copies of anything. Truck cab was dirty and back of truck was full of sand and dirt. When I picked up the truck the gas cap was hanging near the ground/pavement only attached with its chain. Evening staff said they can’t be responsible for people who siphon gas or go into trucks overnight. They should have inspected in morning!! There are zero excuses for the poorly run location. Staff in evening doesn’t seem customer service is important or anything to do with condition of vehicles (he said it is their responsibility). Staff should Be more attentive, and follow guidelines by U-Haul to ensure clean trucks for customers. Thanks.
Christine HThe cashier at the esso was a complete idiot. Total incompetent person. Couldn't answer any questions. His "uhaul" computer was locked out by his "korean" boss. The company was in Korean and he couldn't unlock it on either the pickup or return portion of my trip. No walk around before or after. Definitely will question ever renting from uhaul again with service like this

Our frustrations were heard and guidance was given on who to contact next to help resolve the initial upset of the pickup location.

Gary FWe were quoted 0.99 km for mileage but then they tried to sneak the mileage rate in at 60% higher and charged us $1.59 for mileage. Still waiting for a response from them on getting our money back for the overcharge Otherwise not too bad. We took pictures of the scuffs, scrapes, dents that were not on the pictures we got, and hit the dispute button to upload the pics before we left So far no other issues

Nicole FI will never use u-hail again because of the territory manager named John. I asked for clarity and an adjustment to the contract as it was shown in KM’s however they said it was actually miles. When I asked John to make the adjustment he said he wouldn’t and that if I didn’t like it “…don’t take the truck then.” Here I am in Redwater Alberta, the middle of no where, and John is telling me to take it or leave it. Unbelievably poor customer service and taking advantage of someone like that.

Jeremy CEnsure the worker actually checks equipment prior to renting. I was in a time crunch and didn’t have time to continue to go into the store to make complaints. Fuel was lower than it was supposed to be which worker complained and made me put in more than I was given. Poor customer service.
Krista HThe day I rented it the lady said the tank was above half, and to b honest I didnt really look. She also told me to bring it back at 4, and I ending up keeping it another day. I called today to c if it was possible to keep it till sunday I had already prebooked for sunday. When I called he said I couldnt and to bring it back by 4. I was there right at 4, and he said that I should of brought it back by 1 so I got charged for being over the time, and to find out I was able to rent it till sunday. Now I'm told I have to bring it back with over a half a tank even tho the day I picked it up its was not over half but a quarter full. That dosent even makes sense I'm being ripped off but because I needed the truck I couldnt say anything cause the person today would have lied and say I couldnt have it. Iv used uhaul over the yrs, and this was the most unprofessional interaction iv had. I also am very upset if they r doing this to a single 60 yr old women how many others r they ripping off. I dont judge uhaul I'm just judging who u have representing your long standing company. If look at my text message it will back up the conversation. I felt with two people and they both lied and manipulated me. I put 20.00$ in the tank today, and that's twice as much as what was in there and now I have to bring it back at over half way. Renee BHitch and electrical harness information should be available - the supplier had no idea what I was talking about. This supplier also did not have enough furniture blankets, even though I prebooked online and called ahead of time. The 2 that I received should have been gratis as I had to go to another dealer to get 12 for the $20. That being said, this was the only dealer that had the trailer that I needed, when I needed it.

Julia FThe truck was not washed. There was a buildup of ice and snow on the vehicle that made it difficult to even open any door. The truck was sitting outside in -30 plus weather and barely started. When I came to load up I had to use hot water to thaw the rear door latch before it would open and in all the experience was more difficult than it had to be even in the extreme cold. I inquired of the staff if they considered moving a vehicle into an empty wash bay before a rental to avoid such problems in the future. I was less than satisfied with the answer.
Andrew WI lived in red water at the time of this reservation and initially the U-Haul website only showed Ford Saskatchewan as the closest location… Due to a glitch red water location is not on the website… I drove by the red bar location and noticed there were trucks there… I had originally reserved from the Fort Saskatchewan location because the red water location was not on the website… I approach the clerk at the location and he stated there were trucks available… So I had to call and change the reservation… which took a long time on the phone… When I went to pick up the truck it seem to take a long time, almost 30 minutes to get the truck… When I had already changed the reservation… Then I was charged an additional $17, For some reason I don’t even know and can’t pull up on the website or reservation… When I had already pre-paid for the reservation… another thing I did not like was that the representative from one of the moving companies was able to add an hour to my reservation without my knowledge and then calls me after and says by the way we charged an extra hour… I was not happy because the two helpers that were there were very slow… So my overall experience was a three out of five… One other thing I would suggest is to know how many litres of fuel the truck holds… The truck was 3/4 full when I went to pick it up… I’m not sure why it was not full at the time of the pick up… I brought the truck back with a little more than 3/4 full… The truck was good it was a Ford… Better than that Chevys or GMC from previous trucks that I have driven before from you all… Personally I would like my $17 back and the hour from the moving help… As I felt I was taken advantage of…
Daren GThe fact that our pick up location was changed at the last minute from Fort Saskatchewan to Red Water was frustrating enough because of our tight timeline. But then we were told that if we don’t return it to that same location we would be charged a fee. Our new home was now about an hour away from Red Water. Then on the day of drop off we were 45 minutes late to drop the trailer off and they were prepared to charge us another full day. They did refund the charge for the “extra” day so that is one good thing. But I will never recommend uhaul to anyone I know and I will not be using uhaul again.

Noreen Lextremely annoyed that i had to go 1 hour away to pick up a truck i reserved over a month in advance. you can see what date and time a person reserved a truck for, you should have it ready for them at their desired location and time.
Matthew JIt took 20 mins to drop off the unit as she could not find the us in the system! I think this is on uhaul not the agent. Rented unit with half a tank filled to 3/4 tank as it wasn’t registering properly and it is what it is. I got charged .36 cents extra for mileage . Wow just not impressed at all !!
