I think this review needs some context… I am not sure what is going on behind the scenes but something needs to improve and it needs to improve FAST. Our reservation sent us to the wrong pickup location after initially trying to send us over an hour away from us, then getting rude workers and lousy initiative. When we got the trailer, it was great, no complaints there. Then comes dropping it off. The drop off location was also set to over an hour away from our house, to which a nice lady helped change it to a closer one… but it was already closed. So we called and got it changed again, and it was also closed. Third times a charm right? Wrong. This drop off location is a GAS STATION?! WHY?! Whatever… I go inside and ask to drop off my trailer, to which I’m greeted by gas station employees who inform me that the ACTUAL U-HAUL EMPLOYEE left EARLY. Honestly, not surprised at this point. I left the trailer in a good location with all of my rented blankets folded neatly, but then I get a call today about the trailer. The lady, who, mind you, left EARLY and could have helped me YESTERDAY calls me to tell me that my drop off location was actually back in College Station. No it wasn’t. I have a printed document saying it wasn’t. But the fact that she even had to call me to have me RE-EXPLAIN the job that YOU GUYS DID is sending me to the moon in frustration. U-Haul, you guys are seriously on thin ice and something needs to change. Give me a break and a refund for basically doing YOUR job for you. Thanks for the trailer anyways, it was the only good part about any sort of dealing with you guys in the first place. Kind regards, someone who seems to care more about your job than you do.

Reserves online with confirmation number. With that, time to pickup trailer took over 30 minutes. Employee claimed system issues and almost sent me to other location 20 mins away.

The drop off location is a Valero convenience store. The U-Haul clerk leaves at 3 pm every day. The store clerk just had me write down my, time and what I was turning in. I told her I was not comfortable leaving without a receipt. She told me the U-Haul person would be in the next morning and there was nothing she could do. She just told me to park by the other trailers in the back. There was no one there to check the trailer or help me unhook. I am partially handicapped with a bad back and risked injury unhooking the trailer. I did the online app check in with photos so that was good I had something, but I had no receipt it had been turned in. I called the U-Haul clerk the next morning. She had no clue I had turned in a trailer and had to go outside to verify it was there. She emailed me the receipt after I asked for it, which was supposed to have been signed by me at the time of turn in. The lot where the trailers are dropped is not fenced or manned and there is nothing to stop anyone from stealing a trailer.

I dropped off a truck and trailer after 9 PM. Couldn't see much and didn't interact with anyone.

The only reason my experience was not great is because when I arrived to the location the gentleman that works the Uhale was busy with a vender and I waved and said take your time, after waiting for about 3 mins another gentleman walked in and he proceeded to help the other customer and when I asked about it he replied oops I'm sorry and continue to sever the other customer. In that moment I felt disregarded and not valued. I wouldn't usually make a comment about it, but he seemed so unbothed about it I had to make this review.

No fault to the pick-up location, but the trailer had some issues being pulled. Very heavy vibration at all speeds. Drove from Ft. Worth to Kansas City and the trailer vibrated and bucked the entire time. The weight inside the trailer was distributed properly however, it seemed as if there was a wheel bearing going out or out of balance. Pick up location staff was outstanding and no issues with them, just the trailer.

Was very impressed by the professional attitude, yet very friendly staff. The whole process was fantastic. This is my 2nd time to use their service. I will be getting a truck for one way in January or February and will be using them again.

One Stops are dumps. The ones in Dallas I wouldn’t walk into at noon much less late in the afternoon as it’s getting dark. Surely you can do better than them. This location only had the truck I was picking up. The reason the equipment was clean and well maintained was because they got the truck from another location several miles away.The person checking me out could only find a drop off location 5 miles from my house when there was one about 2 miles away. She caused me a lot of confusion. Part of the issue is your crappy system that doesn’t locate all the possible locations available in Dallas, TX. They don’t show up on your laptop maps. Most of the ones that did show up were all over the place miles and miles away. These were in places I wouldn’t drive to during day without a police escort. None were even close to my house. The person really didn’t care to help much and just wanted me to get the truck and get the hell out of the store.

Received notice to return the truck in Ft. Worth when it was supposed to be returned to Burleson Tx. Inconvenient! Called to ask if I could return it to Cleburne instead because it was closer. Breach of contract. So it appears to be OK to “breach” the contract if U Haul wants to do it, but not when it is convenient to the customer. Never again!!!

The unit was very rusty. The rust caused the door to get stuck and it took us 10 minutes to get it down and then it was so stiff you had to force it down each time you closed it.
