Just had trouble accessing the gate to get my truck since the location was closed, but customer service helped me gain access.

I did after hours rental, so no idea what the actual facility or staff is like. It's a locked gate, so if someone is doing after hours rentals, this definitely felt safer than an open lot. The online process on the other hand was horrific. The place I originally rented from did not actually have the truck I rented available so it took 45 minutes with 2 different people on chat - the 1st made it seem simple, but it wasn't, and the 2nd was not a clear communicator - then had to switch the reservation to a different location, which added miles and cost to my rental. The location was fine, but I will use a company other than UHaul in the future.

1. We signed up for the U-Haul online and we're given one price for 6 hours. When we went to pick it up we were told they only did it for 24 hours time-frames and then given a price $30 more than what it said online. 2. We did everything online including uploading drivers licenses so it should of been a quick pick up, but we still ended up being there for over half an hour. 3. The U-Haul was low on gas when we got it. Every other time I've gotten a U-Haul the tank was full and we returned it on full. This time the first place I had to go was the gas station and I put $60 in the tank. 4. There was no choice on size of trucks and we had to get a huge one to move 3 pieces of furniture. (Desk, dresser, bedframe) 5. The total cost to have the truck for 6 hours ended up being $159.74 which is outrageous. And more than what both the online price said and what the gentleman said at pick up. The gentleman at pick up was polite which is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of of 1. I have moved frequently with being in the Navy and have always used U-Haul. I will be looking into other options for future transport needs because of this experience.

Don't estimate a low price. I was completely blindsided with the cost of renting a truck as the estimate was close to $40, I ended up spending over $100 even though I returned the truck on time, cleaned the truck inside and out and put more gas in than needed.

I had an issue with the self check in on the app, because I tried to follow the pick up your truck link before I was at the location. Then when I arrived at the location that pick up link was gone. I called the customer service line and was promptly sent a new link. It was a little frustrating with the technology part but overall a good experience.

The woman was late. Lied about returning it. Wasn’t available when I had to return it. Didn’t know what she was doing. Gave me extra rentals and charged for it (I didn’t ask for 2 sets of pads) said I had a dolly when I didn’t. I am furious.

Great value for the money. I particularly like that there was only a single rent increase in the entire time (over a year) that I rented with them. (Other places I have been have a habit of raising rent every five or six months.) RENT-A-SPACE is a fair dealer.

Give better drop box or key drop location instructions- it was difficult to find the pick up keys and hard to open the box and key drop was easy functionally but hard to find

U-Haul tried to charge me $50 more than the price that I was quoted online. The phone representative said it was taxes, but taxes were included in the online quote. I ended up taking off the $60 insurance in order to keep in budget.

The seems to be an issue with run off water for the storage units. I guess the fact that you were given skids to put under the items that were being stored in the storage unit. I found that when moving out, some of the furniture sustained water damage. I really feel that you need to disclose the drainage issue when checking into a new unit.

I picked up my truck after hours. Not the greatest experience ONLY because it was blowing snow and the key slot was outside of the gate. No fault of Uhaul. The truck itself was cleared of all snow, was clean inside and ready to go, which I appreciated!

I have to say from start to finish, everything was effortless, efficient and quite easy. Your online reservation service is excellent; the company representative I dealt with at the site was fantastic (very friendly and professional) and the return of the vehicle was effortless. I can't think of anything to improve on the service I received.

I would check lever on my unit. Very hard to slide back and forth to open unit. I had to get assistance once because I could not slide it to open unit.

Need maintenance of the property. No parking spot for the vehicle. Leaving rental vehicles by the street is scary and carelessness of the uhaul.
