THIS WHOLE RENTAL EXPERIENCE WAS OVERWHELMINGLY DISAPOINTMENTING AND FRUSTRATING. I HAD BOOKED THE TIME AND DATE THE DAY BEFORE AT YOUR LORNE/RODNEY LOCATION TO RENT A 20FT TRUCK. I HAD REQUESTED THE TRUCK FOR 10:00-11:00AM.I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS DRIVING FROM ORANGEVILLE APPROX 3HRS. IT WAS HARD TO UNDERSTAND THE MAN I WAS BOOKING WITH. I HAD TO KEEP CORRECTING HIM. HE QUOTED ME HIGHER THEN THE QUOTE I GOT FROM THE ORANGEVILLE LOCATION. I EVEN CALLED BACK A SECOND TIME AND REVIEWED DETAILS. I WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT ARRIVING AFTER 3 HOURS AND NOT HAVING A TRUCK. I REPEATING THE TIME AND STRESSED THE TIME. I REPEATED THE TRUCK WILL BE THERE FOR 10:00. YES! WE ARRIVED AT THE LORNE LOCATION ABOUT 9:40. WE WERE NERVOUS WHEN WE ONLY SAW A COUPLE OF SMALL TRAILERS IN THE LOT. WE THOUGHT MAYBE HE HAD ANOTHER LOCATION TO HOUSE BIGGER TRUCKS A FEW MINUTES AWAY. I WALKED INTO BUILDING AND SAID MY NAME. THE MAN LOOKED SHOCKED. HE SAID I THOUGHT YOU WERE COMING FOR 12:00AM. IN MY HEAD, OMG! ARE YOU KIDDING! WE HAD 2 DIFFERENT TELEPHONE CALLS TO MAKE SURE ALL INSTRUCTIONS WERE MET. HE THEN SAID THE PERSON THAT RENTED WAS SUPPOSE TO BRING TRUCK BACK LAST NIGHT! WHICH IS IT I WAS TO PICK UP AT NOON OR IT'S SOMEONE ELSES FAULT. HE LAUGHINGLY TOLD US TO GO TO TIMMIES AND WAIT. REALLY! NEITHER SITUATIONS ARE HIS FAULT. AFTER MUCH FRUSTRATING CONVERSATION AND WITH THE KNOWLEDGE WE WERE NOW WAITING FROM 9:40AM UNTIL NOON TO HAVE THE TRUCK THAT WAS TO BE READY FOR 10:00AM. HE THEN TOLD US WE COULD GO TO RIDGETOWN . I ASKED WHERE THE LOCATION WAS. RESPONSE JUST THE OTHER SIDE OF RODNEY. I EXPRESSED MY OUTRAGE. THIS BACK AND FORTH AND WAITING FOR THE RETURN OF THE TRUCK WASTED AN HOUR. WE ENDED UP DRIVING 34KM BACK THE WAY WE CAME FROM TO PICK UP THE TRUCK WE RENTED IN LORNE. PAPER WORK WHICH SEEMED TO TAKE FOREVER. GO BACK FROM WHERE WE WERE ANOTHER 20KM TO OUR FINAL DESTINATION. THE TIME IS NOW JUST AFTER NOON. NOON! THE TIME WE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO BE FINISHED LOADING UP AND DRIVING HOME! WE FINALLY FINISHED LOADING AND NOW THE BACK DOOR TO TRUCK WILL NOT PULL DOWN. THE CABLE WAS UNRAVELED ON THE ONE SIDE. SPENT ALMOST 45 MIN TRYING TO FIX. CALLED LOCATION WHERE WE PICKED UP TRUCK TO BE TOLD CALL THIS NUMBER!!! YEAH! OKAY! NO RESPONSE! FINALLY GOT THE DOOR TO CLOSE. CABLE NOT COMPLETELY FIXED. LEFT APPROX 3:00. ARRIVED HOME 6:30. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. I ASKED BOTH LOCATIONS FOR COMPENSATION. LORNE LOCATION LAUGHED AND SAID SOMETIMES LATE SOMETIMES EARLY. HE SAID BASICALLY IT ALL WORKS OUT. HE WAS ACTUALLY GETTING FRUSTRATED WITH ME AND SAID NO SENSE KEEP REPEATING THE SITUATION. ALMOST LIKE HE WANTED ME TO GO AWAY I WAS BOTHERING HIM. 2ND LOCATION TOLD ME TO CALL THIS NUMBER AND WROTE IT ON THE CONTRACT . I SHOWED BOTH LOCATIONS UHAULS GUARANTEE AND THE RESPONSE BY BOTH WAS TO CONTACT UHAUL. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE! EVER!

Elsa Noperator didn t bother to come out to look at the trailer or help to unhook just pointed out the window and said just put it someplace over there wasnt t clear as to whether my obligation was fulfilled or not

Bryan SIt would be really helpful if the trucks were updated a little….would’ve been nice to have a backup camera on the truck…but all-in-all it was a great experience and I would rent again if needed

Stuart FI use this u-haul location quite often and I am very happy with the service and personel there. Very helpful when I had issues with improper hookup for towing, and always very nice to deal with. I highly recommend this uhaul location for sure.

DAVID MMy biggest issue is with Uhaul changing our pickup location at the last minute. This location was 2 hours out of our way! This pickup facility was fine (a gas station) but the Manager/ Uhaul agent was not available until noon for a 9am pickup. Had to complete pickup and trailer hookup via phone/email with Uhaul rep. Trailer also had some light damage and one of the running lights not working. Trailer had two dime sized holes in the roof that I had to repair with duct tape, since it was due for heavy rain on our trip.
OLIVER BVehicle was not ready when it was supposed to be. Had to wait 45 min until someone could come to the store and assist and when they did they helped someone else first.

Doug KTERRIBLE...answered the phone as Pizza Pizza...didn't identify that there location....ended up drive 1.5 hours EXTRA to locate the pick up point since we book it in Chattam and they didn't say they were Ridgetown...Horrible experience!!!!!!!
Samantha KWas given conflicted information on pickup time. We booked U-Haul 2 months in advanced, only to be told 1 day prior to pickup that we now had to travel approximately an hour to Ridgetown for pickup (we lived in London). Rental was guaranteed for 9am (as per email confirmation) however we were told to pick it up at 10am, to "make sure it was there". We were also told to call in the morning to make sure the person was there for us, otherwise we would have to wait until 11:30am. Very unprofessional response. It took multiple attempts the following day for anyone to even answer our calls. When we finally arrived at 10am for pickup, the person wasn't there and had to be called. We waited another 20 minutes. Overall very unsatisfied with process as this entire ordeal was completely unacceptable.
arthur gThe tag along we had ordered had faulty lights so we were upgraded to a larger unit at no extra cost. It worked fine and we were happy with that.
RUTH CJust because you sell gas doesn’t mean you can leave the vehicle at near empty and report it a different level. Never again.
Kevin GGood day to whom it may concern the truck was not very clean there was dog food and dog hair in there. And for the trip the truck is very loud inside to improve the insulation in the cab would be great.

Thomas TWhen we picked up the trailer the lights were not functioning due to corroded harness. The manager tried to help but had no supplies or parts. We ended up putting a new harness in just so we could tow legally

Joanne HBook the reservation properly. I called in on Aug 10th because the closest location indicated it may not have the size truck I needed. I needed the 20’ truck for the 22nd and when I arrived at the location for pick up it wasn’t there and I was told they didn’t receive the reservation. I then had to wait 30 minutes until you opened to call in and have it sorted out. I had to settle for a 10’ and small enclosed trailer. I ended up needing to call friends with trucks to get moved out in time. It was stressful, inconvenient and ineffective.

JOSH BWhen the truck was returned. He argued the gas levels were off even though we had a photo. He wanted another $20 which we refused. He then charged $1.85 to my credit card on file after we left!!

Brian HHead office changed our location pick up without notifying us and it caused a lot of undue stress and time being wasted. We had to call several times to have our price and our contract honored. It was not a very positive experience

DONALDM SYour website is no user friendly. It says funds will be one currency and then it's another currency. It takes way to long to work through to rent something and then it messed up pick up locations and took another 45 minutes of my time. I was not impressed at all. Time is money.
jackie mMaybe due to the Covid, he didn't want to come out of the store to check the truck. Said he'd check at noon. I had a hard time to understand him.
Kim KVehicle was not clean. Then I found out I was charged 20-25$ for "cleaning", which is "funny" as the vehicle was not cleaned to begin with.
Andrew SBecause of COVID19, I couldn’t get people to help me. What should have taken 1 day took 3. This facility was very supportive and flexible, and I felt much less stressed.
Hollie KPaperwork showed gas was higher ghen what was in tank. Truck was dirty. Items left in cab from previuos renter. Mileage on paperwork did not match odometer.
NORM SWhen we showed up to pick up the U Haul the gentleman behind the counter seemed to not be prepared at all, I was told on the phone that Visa Debit was acceptable payment and he said no then proceeded to try 6 more times before i finally just said put the deposit down so we can get going it was 35 minutes wasted.

D-Bruce Rgot the run around for my deposit back. was told one thing at drop off, waited 5 days, went back, to find out that I will get a cheque in the mail in 5-10 days, after having to wait 30+ minutes, even though I paid debit at pick up. very disappointing.
shannon sMake sure that the actual person is there to work with you. I had to be on the phone back and forth throughout the night giving personal pieces of information after i left all of my personal information days before when i originally booked the trailer. It took many calls to confirm that i actually got the trailer for the time i needed. I could not even understand the guy. When i picked up the trailer i signed for it at the front gas bar to a young girl. There was no one to meet me to see if everything was ok. What If i did not know how to hook it up? Good thing that i did. I am glad that uhaul was at least able to work with me to get the trailer but in that situation it was not a good experience overall. But my original call to order the trailer and drop off was excellent.
