The appliance dolly I reserved was not available with my “guaranteed or $50 back” rental. I was forced to settle for a hand dolly that could not handle an antique piece of furniture I specifically wanted the dolly for and I was forced to abandon the piece of furniture belonging to my late mother. Not happy everything I reserved with my “guaranteed” reservation was not available.

The folks were amazing kind people but the truck's transmission was slipping bad and resulted in us having to keep the truck longer than wanted to and wasted so much time. I did call U Haul and let them know. I also let the gas station know and he was kind enough to allow me to use the dolly a few more hours since we had issues with the truck. I would absolutely use them again if I need u haul.

The owner of a the convenience store where I picked up at was rude from the beginning. She refused to get off of a personal cell call to assist me. There was no parking on the premises at all. I was picking up a box truck for a couple of hours and needed to leave my truck while I was using the box truck. She wouldn’t let me park anywhere on the premises and was willing to let me walk away. After a little graveling on my part she finally said that I could have the reserved spot next to her car. On the drop off I chose to fill the truck up at the same convenience store that I picked up at. The truck had 7/16ths of a tank (121 miles to empty) and I drove 90 miles I put 12 gallons, back in bringing the fuel capacity to (161 to empty)then I parked it in the exact same spot that picked it up in. After parking the truck I took the keys in, keep in mind I had a 24 hr rental and dropped it back off after 4 hours. I asked now the male owner for a receipt and I was told that it would be auto emailed. They didn’t check the truck back in with Uhual until the next day at the time it was due back leaving me liable for that truck overnight, luckily nothing happened to it. I asked for a paper receipt and was told no. They didn’t care to go out and check on the returned truck while I was there, they intentionally waited for me to leave. When I received the email containing the drop off info and the receipt I noticed that the very same people that I bought it the gas from at the return decided to commit fraud by lying about the fuel levels. I had proof tho, I bought gas from the very people that tried to steal from me. I did take my case to the area manager, which he was reluctantly helpful. He checked his computer and I’m sure pulled the GPS data telling all. He agreed to give me my $18.80 back to which I appreciate. I expect that this will get buried beings that it was only $18.80. But there’s was multiple levels of fraud that n the owners part. I 100% feel that I’m not the only one that they did this to. I think that they have a theft scheme going on and U-Haul doesn’t care. I turned this location into the state to investigate. I work in corp America and we understand the importance of branding. This location is a representing U-haul in a bad way. In conclusion $18.80 become a matter of principle for me. I have money so $18.80 doesn’t hurt me like it does someone else that living paycheck to paycheck. It’s disappointing no knowing that my complaint ended with the area manager giving me my money back acting as tho it was a personal favor to me. So action should be taken and I personally think that this location should lose the heir franchise agreement. I will using another rental service next time

U-haul makes an error and then proceeds to charge me for shipping and delivery of a U-box they were supposed to deliver at no charge due to that mistake. Had to make multiple phone calls to different offices to have the shipping charge reversed, but still have not had the delivery charge reversed. Very frustrating.

My only complaint is that after drop off I was charged an extra $54.00, after already paying $313 for the rental. I was told that I had the truck f9r 2 days. I returned the truck on the 2nd day. Nobody explainer to me when I called customer service to arrange my rental that the 48 hours with the trick starts at the exact hour I picked up the truck. I was just told the rental was for two days. This company should do better at explaining this fact and not use it against the customer when returns arr made. Do better, UHAUL.

First of all. What is the meaning of a reservation? Someone at U-Haul needs to explain to me your definition of it. Because I made a so-called "reservation" over a month ago at the Round Rock location on RR620. ONLY to find out, the day before, that they weren't going to have my reserved truck available. You had me go to Hutto which is another 10 miles away from my preferred station. When I get there, NOT only did your app not work, but your transportation specialist, Shannon, changed my truck to this App location. That truck didn't qualify to be used for your App. So we spent almost an hour trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. I finally called your 800 number and that was the reason they gave me. Then that specialist found a truck that I had originally reserved over a month ago at the Round Rock location on 620, in Taylor! Taylor!! That's another 11 miles to pick up a truck that I ORIGINALLY RESERVED OVER A MONTH AGO AT THE ROUND ROCK LOCATION ON 620!!!!! This is completely unacceptable by your company and staff. Your company completely dropped the ball on this. What is the point in reserving a truck in advance when this is going to happen?!!! This is pathetic! I want full reimbursement for my time, stress, and having to push back several hours of our moving time back because of your inadequate ability to deliver on my original reservation at the ROUND ROCK LOCATION ON 620!!! Again, this was totally unacceptable on your part. I have yet to see anything about the free extra miles, gas reimbursement and $50 discount to be applied to my final bill. I shouldn't have to pay for this lousy performance by your company when I had reserved it WELL OVER A MONTH IN ADVANCE!!! YOU need to make this right!!! I did my part. I made a reservation in advance. I had all the forms of ID and payment ready. YOU didn't have my truck ready!

I was booked at a location that had no lockbox, and the website was extremely confusing, I meant to be renting a truck, and ended up somehow renting a storage unit, and ended up somehow having two different reservations for a truck, and while was at the first location to pickup the truck, I was repeatedly given to customer service of said location when there was no one there. I finally went to a different location and got some help from a lovely young lady that was able to square me away

I am beyond disappointed in this rental. I've rented more U-hauls than I can count and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I reserved a 15' truck and then last minute was told I'd need to go 20+ miles farther away to get that or downgrade. Well, since ya'll charge by the mile, that would mean an extra $100 in miles and gas I'd be paying PLUS my time. So I risked it and settled for the 10' I was told at the location they don't even carry 15' trucks... so that's very unprofessional, since I was allowed to reserve the truck thinking it was an option and estimate my cost. Additionally, the first truck they gave me had a check engine light. So when I requested to get the other truck, I was told I needed to move the original truck myself to access the other truck... WHAT THE ACTUAL. The new truck was clearly warn and scraped up, fine but just insult to injury. Well 10' truck was not adequate so I ended up spending an extra $100 and 3hrs of time because I couldn't take everything in one trip. I will NEVER use U-Haul again unless this huge customer service oversight is addressed directly with me. I will also be telling everyone in the local wedding/event industry about this. I would hate to have their businesses so compromised but such disregard and unprofessional service.

The return agent was horribly rude to the point that we won’t use this location ever again. We ended up putting the keys in the after hours box to avoid dealing with him even though he was on site because he was so rude.

Ensure the vehicles are in a clean and maintained condition for pick-up. Pet hair and dirty windows isn't inviting when you're going to be in the vehicle for a long time. Also having knowledgeable people at this location would help with the overall rental process. Not a good experience at all!!

This location has horrible communication over charges there customers after returning equipment back early. Terrible customer service! Absolutely horrible that the sales person feels she doesn't need to communicate that you'll be charged for another day if your a minute late
