The people at Ruddys Rental were great to work with; however, I would caution anyone to only select this location if the pickup time is during hours. We scheduled our rental for a 7am pickup and received no warning that this would be unavailable. We showed up at the location at 7am and while doing the online pickup that we were made aware we could not pickup until 8am which delayed our day and schedules we had with other individuals.Melissa J.
Despite the fact that we weren't given the updated paperwork when we switched uhaul truck and having to wait longer, the cashier was super friendly, she assured us not to worry and took care of the returned.Nhia X.

When I went to my original drop off location (Forest Lake Mini Storage) and started the on-line drop off process, the app told me to go to this alternative Ruddy's location...I don't know why. In addition, I ended up driving (and being charged) an extra 4.2 miles for this mixup.Thomas L.

Needed two new tires on frount when I picked it up Was no fault of store couldn't have seen the cords At the time of pickup must have been on the bottom but could tell when pulling it After 30 years of driving truck it's easy to tell when a tires are bad when empty O and the pig tail for the lights was rubbing and shorting out on the chain guide is where they had it routed. The 6x12 trailer I rented had a gate opening of less than 6' and therefore was useless for my needs. This was NOT immediately obvious when I was choosing the size trailer I needed. I have zero problems with the rental location as they were nice. But I'm VERY pissed off that Uhaul calls this a 6x12 when it won't FIT something 6 feet wide!Mike ryan L.
I was not informed that my pick up location would be closed. So I spent 30 minutes trying to check in on line, in the cold, and had to take self pics and pics of DL and then provide an alternate contact, my wife, and then I had to provide a 3rd phone number, so they called my sister to make sure I was OK to rent to!?! This was embarrassing! The truck was clean and was the one promised, but truck was old and felt like on its last legs, but ran fine. Also - There was no dolly as ordered and promised, yet of the 100 questions I had to answer to rent the truck, Did I get the accessories promised was not one of the choices, so I paid $7 for a dolly I did not receive. Very frustrated with the lack of communication and the excess check in process.JOHN S.

I rented a pickup. The reason I answered no for the equipment condition was that the floor mats were dirty and there was a dashboard reminder that the engine oil needed changing. The pick up location was hard to find and not an actual haul store. It was a garage and a person working whom I startled when I came up. Once I received the truck the link for me to take and submit pictures had already expired. I drove it to pick up the load by going on side streets. I noticed right away the steering wheel was not aligned, and that was unsettling. On my way to my new destination I had to drive it on the highway. The truck began to shake around 50mph. It was a terrifying shake that was not normal. I considered pulling it over several times as I thought it was going to shut down on me. I was on a tight schedule so I chose not to stop. Before returning my truck, that I drove one way, to a separate location, I called to let them know that this truck was not suitable for driving. I explained what had happened with me and that I did not feel comfortable driving it to the gas station to refill it. The representative I spoke with told me, that that was fine and that they would check out the truck the next day. I returned the truck after hours. On my way to work the following morning. I saw an email from uhaul of an attempted charge of $153 extra. They charged me for 19 gallons of gas, and a cleaning fee of $25. The truck was clean, I have pictures. Also, the gas was on 1/2 tank. It was on 3/4 when I got it. I have pictures of both. I was given a bad truck and now I have to an additional $153 charge? I am calling uhaul ASAP to discuss this further.Christa L.

It was really a bummer because when we got there there was only one worker and we had to wait for like 40 minutes to be able to get to the counter so it really stunk but it wasn't her fault I don't wanna blame her but it really starting to scare me that we were going to run really far behind our schedulekimberly B.
UHAUL, confusing on the return when dropping off as I didn't get the text to take a video until AFTER we had dropped it off and left the location . . . and then said I would be charged $20 for not taking the video to proof location I dropped it off at. I had to put air in all 4 tires they were all low and one was at 50%. Then the side door on the van did not open, the latch only opened the bottom lock on the door, I had to manually pull the top wire to get the door to open.Connie R.

I had a one-day (24 hour) truck rental and I called Ruddys Rental Inc about 3 hours prior to my 24 hour expiration time and I asked them when is the latest that I could return the truck to keep it at a one day rental charge. They told me that if I brought it in prior to 5pm when they close, then they would only charge me for one day. Thank was fine with me because I picked up the truck the prior day at about 4:45pm. I hurried to make sure that I got it back before 5pm and I returned the truck at 4:50pm. I was told that I needed to pay a certain amount for my rental and the amount sounded too high. I was charged for two days rental instead of one and when I explained what I was told by someone at their business three hours earlier, I was told that they did not say that and that the computer said that I need to pay for two days and the charging could not be changed. They didn't stand behind what they told me earlier and approached me in a very harsh and dismissive way. That was a very bad customer experience!Craig K.

Didn't lie to me, but didn't give me all of the details either. When I reserved in person, I specifically indicated a "day" rental, bringing it back the next morning. I rented a pickup truck for 24 hours. The truck was definitely used as a work truck as it was quite dirty inside. It ran fine and I had no functional problems. Upon returning the truck, I was asked how I would like my receipt. I said to email it to me. It is 4 days after I returned the truck and I have still not received the receipt.GARY ALAN F.

My experience at Ruddys was only the last leg of a disastrous experience with u-haul. After initially being redirected from the Plymouth, MN store to the Hugo store, and redirected to a Forest Lake store I finally got my trailer. However, the Forest Lake store did not have my blankets so I was again redirected to Ruddys. Even though the blankets were in plain site it took 45 minutes to get them as the store could not figure out the u-haul computer system in order to bill me.Mark H.

The trailer had no tail lights, the attendant at the location checked the lights and hooked up the trailer but didn't mention it had no tail lights. Not a huge issue during the day, however at night it was a much different experience.ChristopherN S.
