The Truck had a 1/4 tank of gas. We almost ran out trying to make it to a gas station. It was hard to put the tank back to 1/4 for the return without going over at our expense.Phyllis B.

The gentleman who was at the counter when I picked up the vehicle was not friendly. I did the contactless pick up where he was supposed to hand me the keys when I showed him the screen. When I asked if he needed to see the screen on my phone he said no, and proceeded to call u-haul. When I tried speaking to him to tell him I completed the rental on the phone and explain, he completely ignored me, didn't acknowledge I spoke let alone look at me. So no I would not recommend this place if that gentleman has no more manners than that. Perhaps it was because I was a woman. Dealing with U-haul professionals online and over the phone however was awesome. The ladies were very friendly and helpful, even the lady who had to listen to my frustration that my vehicles pick up date was booked for over 400kms away. I will use U-haul again, but will avoid Rugged Terrain if possible.Stephanie P.

Even accounting for the issues surrounding covid-19 oh, it was extremely difficult 2 get a refund from the drop off location. And in fact I had to go through U-Haul corporate customer service in order to secure one. apparently, this particular business has a bad reputation in the area which, had I been aware of, I would have selected a different drop off location. In terms of U-Haul corporate themselves, I could not be more pleased with the response I received.GEORGE W.

The unit had bad wiper blades and the rear tires are almost to the tread wear indicators. They also show signs of dry rot. After I picked up the unit and got it on the highway it started to snow. The unit was all over the road and got stuck when I pulled over on the shoulder of the road and had trouble traversing the snow covered hilly areas.Barry H.

Trailer worked well except it leaked and made about 1/2 the boxes wet. I had to buy new boxes and repack to put it in storage at destination or everything would have gone mouldy.Allen B.

Reserved the truck with blankets, there were no moving pads. The rental agent wasn't there and got the keys from a service guy in the neighbouring business and talked to the agent over the phone. No walk through the truck, no confirmation on fuel level or any physical damages to the truck. Didn't sign anything.John H.

Don't charge people for equipment they never got!!! I got charged for a dolly. Marystown doesn't have them! What a rip off. Apparently your staff can't read because I already asked them to fix it and it's still on the bill. Big joke of you ask me.Donna H.
Improve the customer service. I paid 200 dollars for a trailer and the guy didn't leave the building. Had to hook up trailer and it was clean. Worst servoce ever. Seems i paid a lot of money for nothing. Ive uses u-haul for all my moving but this location is the worst.SHAUN T.
Location was closed and opened 4 hours late. No gas in truck, I had to purchase oil to add to the motor as there was nothing on the dip stick, no windshield washer fluid and the driver's side nozzle was broken.Mike W.

The service was great at Rugged Terrian, we was 15 minutes from dropping it off when the tire bust open and no spare to put on it, then trying to reach someone to explain the situation was an awful experience, on the phone way too long, we probably would of been there all night waiting for someone to come help us and it was getting late here in NL Thx Sheldon & Connie LockyerSheldon L.

There is very limited amount of trucks you can rent. We ordered a 15ft and ended up with a 26ft truck. No one contacted us about it until I called them. There is no guarantee that what you order is actually going to be there because if someone moves out of the community, like we did, another truck isn't there until someone moves in to the community. We couldn't get the truck we ordered, which cost us more on gas, as well as we couldn't get it on a earlier date because someone else had it out for the weekend. Over all it was a poor experience, a lot more stress added on top of the stress from just moving. This location needs a bigger selection of trucks.Shane F.

U-haul cleared up a situation with the pickup location so you can be assured of their support if the rental process 'goes south'.GARRY N.
Quotes given to me when I booked the vehicle online were different from what I was charged when I went to pick up the vehicle. The UHaul insurance rate was increased by 50%. I have coverage on my own vehicle insurance for when I rent a vehicle that I do not own, yet I was not allowed to use it on the Uhaul vehicle.Brian W.
I disagree with the fact that I paid for a 2 day rental while I only used the uhaul for 1 day.KRISTA H.
The agent was not available when I went to pick up my Uhaul and advised the company he waited until 3 pm for me to show up, then left to go. My contract was cancelled as as result of not picking up up between the hours of "10- 12" which I was not made aware by anyone of a specific pick up time. I had to drive a long distance to pick up this vehicle and wasn't in the area until I picked it up prior to closing. I then had to contact the 1800 number for assistance and luckily the one vehicle at the location was available. Should the agent have called to confirm I would be there before the location closed, this would have prevented the unnecessary miscommunication and cancelation of my contract.Perry N.

The rental was appropriate for the purpose intended. Clean outside and spacious inside. Truck performance was fine. Service at outlet was satisfactory. The loading ramp on the truck ( 20 ft. ) was excellent...the ridged surface prevented any slipping and gave a sense of superior footing on a serious incline. That aspect alone made our moving experience a lot less stressful than anticipated. The floor of the box was smooth and enabled us to slide a lot of the furniture around with ease. That was impressive as well.Garry N.

The trailer I used was very clean and in good shape................But one of the tires was pretty much bald..i had to stop several times to put air in the tire.I had no other choice but to buy a can of tire sealant to keep tire from going down..i will use a U-Haul trailer again, but will pay closer attention to tires.BILL S.

Let people know they have to secure the tires before they take trailer off hitch...parking lot slants and we almost killed ourselves trying to stop the trailer from rolling into a deep ditch by the road!!!! Just saying.Kim S.

The location was closed at the time we dropped off the equipment and there was no drop box for the keys. Uhaul made this easy for us and ensured we were not charged any extra fees due to the location being closed. All drop off locations should be equipped with a place for dropping keys after hours.Franklin Dean H.

After driving over 3 hours to pick-up the trailer, I discovered after hooking up that none of the lights were working. Had to change to a smaller trailer which took over an hour for the operator to figure out how to do the change even after talking to your help line. Ridiculous!richard F.

J'ai du attendre 40 minutes afin d'avoir accÃ¨s au camion de 14 pieds que j'avais dÃ©jÃ rÃ©servÃ© par internet. Attendre dans un dÃ©panneur, oÃ¹ il n'y a pas de chaise, c'est fort dÃ©sagrÃ©able. L'employÃ© de l'endroit Ã©tait occupÃ© Ã louer une remorque Ã un autre homme, mais sa frustration, son incompÃ©tence et la mauvaise qualitÃ© de l'internet Ã fait en sorte que l'autre homme a quittÃ© sans prendre de remorque. Quand ce fut le temps de me faire servir, l'employÃ© ne savait pas comment le systÃ¨me de location marchait (chose qu'il exprimait en sacrant sur une base rÃ©guliÃ¨re). AprÃ¨s 10 minute au tÃ©lÃ©phone avec U-Haul, il m'a passÃ© le tÃ©lÃ©phone et j'ai moi-mÃªme vÃ©rifiÃ© les dÃ©tails avec la tÃ©lÃ©phoniste parce que l'homme Ã©tait trop frustrÃ© pour rÃ©pondre correctement. Lorsque l'employÃ© a repris le tÃ©lÃ©phone pour confirmer avec la tÃ©lÃ©phoniste l'Ã©tat du camion, il est revenu en me demandant "T'as tu pris des couvertes avec Ã§a?", ce Ã quoi j'ai rÃ©pondu oui, il s'est exclamÃ© "Ah, tabarnak!"
