MADHU PThe communication by the U-Haul company was horrendous. On Wednesday 1/14/26, I was told that I had the U-Haul pick up at a closer location that I chose. The person on the phone confirmed this with me and explained the process for getting the truck on Sunday 1/18/26. I thought everything was fine. On the app it showed my confirmation. Then on Saturday 1/17/26, I got a call from U-Haul confirming my pick up for a truck at a farther and different location. The person I spoke to was very short with me and unapologetic. The lack of customer service was disappointing considering I had already confirmed the truck at a closer location. They didn't seem to have any explanation as to why I had to go to a different location the day before I needed the truck. They also didn't tell me it was a mobile check in/check out process for the truck. I didn't find that out until I got to the location on Sunday and the staff member was confused as to why I wasn't doing it on my phone when that was not explained to me over the phone the day before. The only positive about this experience was the rental pick up location as well as the service at this location was good. The staff member was helpful throughout the process. Since I filled up the tank to 1/4, I got a discount as well.

ASADULLAH SCalled back as there was a discrepancy in my invoice. I spoke to a man on the phone who was extremely rude and would talk over me as I was trying to explain my invoice. In the end he told he he did not care about my concern and to F- off and hung up on me. I know this one person does not reflect UHAL - but would not recommend this location.

Edward KThere fuel charge was excessive. They don’t give trucks at full tank and it’s hard to know how much fuel to put in on returning vehicles the truck. I was 1 gallon less than the level of gas , but made to pay $37.00. Won’t recommend this place.

ASSAD SI asked to extend my rental was told via the U-Haul chat that the pick up location had changed to a location 15 minutes further away from my house. I arrived at 8AM only to find the location locked with an open time of 9AM. I called the original location and was told my reservation was there. When I got there I was told there was no reservation under my name despite calling 15 minutes prior. Somehow my reservation had been placed under someone else’s name. They picked up the truck and it had my address, phone number and credit card number associated. By the time I got my truck, it was one hour past my pickup time. I will not be using this location again.

David NI have been renting from U-haul at the s and J Moving Supply in Elk Grove, CA for a very long time. From small trucks for minor moves to their 26 footer for a home move and they are pretty reliable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They’re always pleasant to speak with and considerate. Renting and retuning the truck was very easy and efficient specially thru their mobile app. The after hours return are so easy with the app. The trucks and pretty well maintained and clean as well as their equipment. I definitely recommend uhaul at S and J moving Supply in Elk Grove by Elk Grove - Florin Rd.
