LISA SAs far as the location at 25900 U.S. Hwy 281 N location was fine. The boys there were nice, efficient, and hooked up the car trailer to the truck and secured my vehicle to the trailer. I booked a reservation at 6745 Farm-To-Market Rd 78 for a truck and a car trailer. I was driving from out of town, Dallas, to take care of my dad’s estate and bring some items back with me which is why I needed both a truck and a car trailer. Customer service called me Saturday afternoon when I was driving through New Braunfels and I was told that my reservation was edited and I’d be picking up the truck and trailer at two different locations! I wasn’t given any location options to choose from they selected it for me. The location they picked was completely out of the way. I came into town by myself, how am I suppose to go get the trailer attached to the truck and get help secure my vehicle if I have to leave my vehicle at the first location. Yes, I could come back to the first location and hope an employee at that store is available to help. But then there’s the issue of mileage. I was told I would be given 50 extra miles to make up from it. From the first location to the second location and back it’s a total of 48 miles. That leaves zero room for error like missing a turn. The only person I know close to San Antonio lives in south Austin, so to avoid the tight mileage squeeze and avoid wasting time I had to ask her if she and a second person could come down to San Antonio to drive my car to the second location, which really only saved me 5 miles. I’m not exactly mad the reservation was spilt into two locations, however I am extremely frustrated the location they chose was so far from my destination. I’ll look over the fact that I had to waste gas but the time consumed is my biggest grievance. It was 30 mins from first location to second location. From the second location to my dad’s house it was a 35 minute drive and the total time spent checking in for both reservations was 66 minutes. That’s just over 2 hours wasted, and I had a house to clear out and a drive back to Dallas the same day. The fact that I wasn’t given any options for the second location was annoying. I couldn’t even cancel the reservation because it was last minute and I didn’t think I would be able to find something else on a days notice. The form didn’t list the first location for me to review, U-Haul store located at: 6745 Farm-To-Market Rd 78. I don’t want to step out of line, but the lady who was completing my reservation (I have the lady’s name, but saw this might be made public so I’m deleting it and will provide it if asked) needs some attention. Based on my interaction I would assume she was under the influence of something. Her speech was slowed and at times she wasn’t make any sense. I came into the store and waited at the desk for an employee. She came in from the back and said “sorry, you know I was back there and I was back there. Can I help you?” I gave her my information and she began looking up my reservation. Another employee came to the counter and informed her that “Griffin (me) was running a little late and would be coming in shortly”, despite giving her my name two minutes prior and it being on the screen, she started saying “oh yeah? Are they going to cancel or come really late?” At time I raised my hand toward the other employee and let her know I was Griffin. Gabrielle started rambling something how they “need a tip jar. We need a tip jar by the door or something because.” And then starts chuckling at herself. A few minutes based and she started mumbling something to herself that I couldn’t understand. Once the paperwork was done and I was the given the key, she led me to door. She opened the door for me and said “I’m not gonna walk over there with because I’m just not doing that”. She points toward the storage building across the parking lot and told me the truck was over there and walked back inside. The truck was not over there it was on the complete opposite side by the main building within walking distance of the main door.

PHARIS JI rented a 10' Van and a 6'x12' trailer with a ramp. All was good until this morning went I tried to start the truck, the battery was dead. This was after I had loaded the family and was ready to go. I called the rental location and was told that I had to call the "Roadside Assistance" number listed on the side of the van. I was not successful in reaching anyone so I flagged a driver and he was generous to provide a boost to the dead battery. I noticed that the cables were oxidized. I returned the vehicle and trailer and asked if I could get a "discount" of some sort for my duress this morning. The attendant apologized and said there was nothing he could do. He suggested I call "Corporate". This was not a good experience and I will not be recommending place or U-Haul to my associates if that is how business is conducted.

Con SPicking up the truck was easy and quick with the online check in option, there was just a mishap with the rentable dolly. While making the reservation I added one to my order but realized I didn't need it. When I picked up the truck the attendant took the dolly out of the back, when I mentioned that I added one to my reservation but I didn't need it I was assured it wasn't on my bill. When I returned I was indeed charged for the item I didn't use and was told I would be refunded but they couldn't complete the refund at that exact moment and I would be emailed. Not sure if the refund was submitted or not but I would suggest the staff review the charges before completing and closing the contract, especially since I mentioned I didn't need the dolly.

I called the location, and was assured that the trailer was returned on time. I continued to receive emails from U-haul to return the equipment. Maybe the employees aren't entering the data?
