I booked a 20’ truck and Appliance Dolly to be picked up 3 miles from my desired location. A couple of days prior to pickup U-Haul changed my pickup location to 18 miles from original pickup location. I received a message 2 hours from pickup time from Semper Fi Storage that they didn’t have an Appliance Dolly. I called U-Haul, they changed my pickup location to 31 miles from my original desired pickup location, by this time I am in route and NO APPLIANCE DOLLY! And Check Engine light on from moment I cranked truck. Rent any other brand than U-Haul!

CHERYL HThe location was nice and the people pleasant. The equipment was dropped off a few hours earlier that morning and UHAUL's decision to provide unserviced equipment for a cross country trip is beyond comprehension. The truck looked clean enough, but the engine was a whining mess with almost no power. The transmission could never shift appropriately and would often stick in either too high a gear or too low a gear. Honestly I can't imagine the incompetence of whoever decided that was the truck to send on a 2300 mile trip. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I think that truck needs to be disposed of and a new truck replace it.

COURTNEY GThe pickup location was one of the most inconvenient locations we have experienced. It was across a 4 lane road, with no parking lot, and extremely tight turns. If you're renting a 26' u-haul and an auto transport, there should have been a more convenient location to safely maneuver out of the parking lot, without the threat of semi trucks and other traffic flying by. Originally, our pick up location was set to be in Wilmington, which was a good 45 min - an hour away from us. Additionally, our truck was not even ready for us around the 3 day mark. We had to have a family friend, a representative of u-haul, assist us in not only finding our truck, but finding a more local location. If it wasn't for her efforts, the already extremely stressful situation of moving across the country with all of your belongings, would have been made exponentially worse. The truck itself was not cleaned prior to pickup: there was a good amount of dog hair all over the dash and seats, and loose paper from previous renters. This is in no part a reflection of the staff at Sanders Auto Parts- they were extremely helpful an patient in assisting our rental process.

The gentleman helped me upgrade the size of the truck because the one I initially reserved and rented was too small. I had to go back for a larger truck. Rhoda AI had 2 flat tires. They gave me a truck with tires and wires hanging out. They charged me an extra day even though I returned it a day early, ridiculous and will never use u haul again.

Karen CSanders Auto was very helpful, even though they were not my original pickup location. ONCE AGAIN the uhaul website put me in a bind as the location I reserved at was closed. Thankfully Sanders was just down the street and got me all squared away. However, after several bad experiences with uhaul I believe I’ll just buy my own trailer and save myself the headaches.

HASSIEN SI don't blame the location, I blame Uhaul for not keeping up with the maintenance on the vehicles, we had to move during the Tropical Storm and the cab of the truck leaked all over and the box of the truck had holes in the roof. We had alot of damaged items because of the leaks. I would not recommend Uhaul for moving.
Tamatha GMr Sanders followed me down the road to get information needed and to thank me for dropping of early and in same condition I picked it up. I don’t know what his royalties are but they NEED to be more. Thank you.
Beau LNot much interaction with the staff besides a phone call since I dropped off after hours. The gentleman on the phone was polite and helpful. My only complaint was since it was a service center the parking lot was slammed full and very difficult to find a good place to park the 26 foot truck and 6x12 trailer. Eventually we did find a spot to safely park. But overall a great place.

Robert HAC fan didn’t work. I had major issues checking the vehicle in while facility was closed. For me the check in program was not user friendly. Tried checking in at 9pm, came back a little after 10 to try again. Went back in the morning, thought I checked it in then I locked keys inside. Called the 877 U-Haul # and he was helpful. I had someone come to get the keys out so I could put them in the Dropbox.

MARY BLeft blinker light didn't work. They did not offer to fix. Trailer was blocked in. I had to help push backwards into nearby gas station to be able to pick up. The only guy who could do uhaul was no available for 20 minutes. In general this place did not care abiut customer service.

Shenika WThe trailer caused my truck to shake, even when it was empty. I think the wheels need to be balanced. This is nothing against sanders.
Keith WI got charged more than I should have for gas. When I first started the vehicle the gas meter showed higher than it did on the paperwork. As I was checking in on my phone it let me change the the mark for how much gas was in the car, then after I started driving it dropped down to where the paperwork had originally shown. The paperwork said it was at 3/8 tank, then I adjusted it to 5/8 cause that’s how it looked when I started it, then it dropped back to 3/8 after I started driving. I only drove 28 miles so it finished at 1/4 tank, it should not have had to pay as much as I did for trying to be honest about how much gas was in the tank due to a misleading gas meter.

The initial location didn’t have the truck either, so I was moved to this location 30 minutes away - adding an hour to my move to Florida when gas prices are already through the roof.
