The truck I received had a hole in the upper right corner of the box. This should not have happened. They sent me 35min from home to get another truck just to find out it was rented 15min before I got there. Wasted trip! I lost a day and 1/2 a tank of gas because of a hole that should not have been there.

Both locations were very helpful and friendly. My issue with the experience was with u-haul itself. I was charged $150 for the 5x9 trailer rental going from North Carolina to Illinois. On the return trip, traveling the exact same route, with the same trailer was $375. My fault for assuming it would be the same price on return. After contacting numerous U-haul employees I was told there was nothing that could be done and that was the price to leave Illinois. Frustrating to say the least and this will probably be the last time I do any business with U-haul.

I've rented from here several times and now I only do contactless pickup and dropoff so I don't have to deal with the incompetent and rude owner. I wish it wasn't the only local uHaul location that usually had what I need I would prefer to take my business elsewhere.

Took me 45 minutes to get the uHaul. This is a gas station with one or two people working total and they will serve every other costumer first. The owner was there when I rented and after I politely pointed out that I had been waiting patiently for 45 minutes he threatened to cancel my reservation if I was unappreciated with the service

When I picked up the truck they marked the fuel level higher than what it actually was and when I went to drop it off they tried to mark the fuel level lower than what it was. The owner came out and I told him the problem and he was sarcastic and rude.

The clerk at S&H was very helpful and friendly. I want to differentiate their services from the corporate call center representative services. I had to extend my reservation due to our contractors not completing their project on schedule. The UHAUL rep told me that I could not extend the reservation again UNLESS I brought the trailer back to the rental location and complete another contract. In my opinion, that is a HUGE INCONVENIENCE to drive my loaded trailer back just to extend the reservation. This made me so angry that I unpacked the trailer, which was inconvenient, and took it back early! UHaul should consider making their process more convenient. Seriously, what is the purpose of driving the packed trailer back to the rental location before I am done using it.

Why does Uhaul require 3 phone numbers of family members? I have rented many times and that was not required. What if you don't have any family.

I had not indicated that need for furniture covers. Perhaps the person at the counter should have confirmed or there should have been a few included in the van. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

reserved a 15 foot truck for a monday morning. They took my visa and e-mail. when mover went to get truck their was not one reserved, so had to rent a 26 foot truck instead. I feel this was done intentionally to make me pay for a larger truck.

I was disappointed with the people at this location as they were not very respectful to me. I did not appreciate the fact that I was told one price by the national uhaul phone number I called. I talked to the company about the same price and they told me they would give me a 15' truck and I said " for the price quoted by the national number" and the man replied " yes". Then when I brought the uhaul truck back he denied ever saying anything like that and charged me a totally different price for the uhaul truck. As a disabled, senior citizen, I cant believe a company in this time of sickness and hardship could be so unforgiving, rude and disrespectful. I will never do business with uhaul again unless there is at least some kind of repiration made. I guess uhaul is a compay that only worries about the bottom line and not their customers.

Had to enter all my information at least 4 times, and I was already in the U-Haul system. Spent over an hour at this location to pick up our rented equipment.

Surprised no gas cap. Knob on window handle loose. No latch for visor. Customer service great! Check in check out smooth as silk. All in all good experience.

Make location available closer to where people live I had a location 5 miles away and had to go 30 miles away to pick up which caused me to pay a extra 50$ in unneeded mileage let alone extra gas

Truck was not in best of condition, wheels were wobbly, left side mirror vibrated to the extent of almost total distortion. Had to go through 30 minutes of paperwork even though I prepaid and preregistered. Location failed to deliver hand truck as was requested. I started a 1200 mile journey with poorest condition truck. Location had other trucks on their lot appearing in better condition.

The people were friendly and professional. The experience was positive overall. The truck wasn't ready and I needed to scrape ice from the windshield with my own scraper and deice the back. Took awhile.

The none of the trucks had 2-wheel dolly that you could use or even rent. And I was renting out of Effingham so driving to Mattoon was a pain and inconvenient.

Blocked lanes while bringing a 26' Truck and 12' Trailer back in. Had to fuel to meet minimum levels and a parked 20' Truck could not be moved by staff because they said I could get around it.. after they saw what I had brought in one person actually got smart and realized the trailer was going to block the pumps which I made sure it did for a LONG time. Parked it where they instructed and BONE of the employees came out to check cleanliness OR for a full return/damage as they told me I was “Good to go”! (Has then repeat it in front of my co-driver just to make sure we had it right.)

Well the day started off bad from the start. We got there a little early and the clerk had trouble getting us dispatched. 45 minutes later She took down my info and sent me on saying she would finish the paperwork I didn't have to pay until it was returned either way. An hour later I was told to return the trailer immediately that there was an issue. Five minutes later the owner called me excited saying the same thing. We drove back and the paperwork was done correctly. In a nutshell I lost three hours of my 24 hour rental. We had to return the trailer early because the day was already lost having to drive back and redo the contract. What was supposed to be an exciting day moving into our new home was a nightmare. I can't say it was the owners fault he done it correctly the first time. The clerk seemed distracted with the phone and other things going on.
