My experience was average and overall, I was pleased with the service. The only issue that I had was that I was charged for an extra days use that I didn't use. I contacted customer support and within a few days, the issue was resolved.JEFFREY S.

Office was very dirty, full of junk, and trash. The trailer I was given, was sitting in a field, in a mud puddle. I had to turn my 4x4 on to even get out of the field with the trailer. The right rear tire kept going flat on me. When I called back to sapaughs office I was told it was fine when it left, and to call roadside. Roadside told me 2 hours or more for the nearest assistance to come help. Overall, this was an absolutely horrible experience, and one of the biggest wastes of money I've ever experienced. Will never be back to U-Haul again.AARON B.

I would only recommend this place if there is not another place closer as the office looks like a dump and if i had rained, I would of had to drive and walked through mud to get the trailer. Also between the 2 dogs and a cat and a bird in the office which added to the smell, I would not even sit down as I wanted to touch as little as possible in that office. Due to COVID-19 they should have been wearing masks when close to me, but I did not see any masks.Kerry B.

Move cars in the lot so people can pull in, move trucks in the yard so people can hook up to trailers, notify customers if lights don't work on the trailer, clean up the inside of the office area.Joseph N.

The trailers are parked in a field that is muddy. Thankfully we were able to get in and hook up the trailer. The trailer was encrusted with sandy mud on the outside on the wheel wells. The previous customer didn't clean it and I don't think the dealer checked the condition of the trailer afterwards. As for UHaul...I am SERIOUSLY disappointed! This time, the system was down for HOURS!! This isn't the first time this has happened. It almost makes me want to spend $500 to buy a trailer of my own so we can do what we need to do, when it's needed to be done rather than waiting a day or two until the blasted system is operable. If I had to give UHAUL corporation itself a star rating, it would most likely be a 1 or a 2 at the most.stephen R.

U-Haul, like any business, is a balance of cost and performance. Cost/performance are well balanced right now, I really don't see a need to change the formula. Maybe work on the software that is still a bit flaky.Lewis W.

First, the overwhelming odor of cat urine hits you in the face before you even get in the door. Then the sales counter covered in cat hair. Then the cat sleeping in the single customer chair provided. Nothing against cats, but this place was a mess. Sales counter only had a spot big enough to lay the paper agreement on that wasn't covered in debris, dirty car parts, and, you guessed it, another cat sleeping on a pile of car keys (on the countertop). Guy was nice and friendly, but between his breath, cat odor, and clutter on the sales floor, I'll stop by the other rental in town first next time. Oh, and if I hadn't gotten another quote online as an estimate, I would have paid an extra $64 that he quoted me. He matched the online price without hesitation, which makes me wonder...JORDAN S.

If you use this vendor, make sure you bring your own broom as they won't let you borrow theirs for 5 minutes. Also make sure you demand they check the mileage so you don't get charged extra.kathy S.

Let the customer know that they don't have any U-Haul stuff except for the trailers/trucks. I called down there to find out that they didn't have a towing ball and didn't know who would. Fortunately, Hwy-50 had one I could buy. This averted a major catastrophe.Kimberly L.
If someone rents the blankets and dollies, and didn't see where they were folded and placed, there is no instructions for them on folding and replacing; only to put them back as they were found. What does the renter do? I was curious.LESA H.

This location was closed when I dropped off. THe parking lot was very crowded, as it was also a car lot and a storage facility. I was unsure where to park the truck.I would recommend it for drop off because it is the only place in Salem Mo. THey also had a large selection of truck is stock.GARY F.
The vendor was not in the Office at our confirmed pick up time of 10 am. We were unable to pick up the truck until 1:15 pm and no longer had help available, although we had reserved and confirmed on line and in advance. The truck had not been swept out, but had been left with the gate all the way up so inside was all dusty, with leaves, etc. This is the worst experience I have EVER had with UHaul. I do not feel we should have to pay the entire portion since by the time our truck could be picked up, our help to load it was no longer available. My husband and I are both 61 years old. We loaded the truck alone. This was for moving my 84 year old Aunt out of her apt into Hospice. The vendor who finally gave us the truck said he had to go out and get a car inspected, which is why he was not in the Office 8/12 or 8/13 when the truck was to be picked up. We returned the keys to the lockbox Thursday 8/13 at 7 pm, yet the truck receipt shows as not returned until 12:30 am the next day! The key box was so full we had to use a screw driver to push the key and paperwork down. There's obviously a problem at this location!PHILLIS M.

The equipment was not in good working order. It was missing the plug to hook up the lights, it was just bare wires. The employee did not hook the trailer up for us, my husband is on oxygen and had to hook up the trailer himself. Also the appliance dolly was broken, it would not lock. I had to pick another dolly up in West Plains and also the wheel feel off the dolly I had from the original place. I feel that the whole transaction should be free.RONA K.
