The U-Haul app is absolutely awful for making a reservation. I tried to make a reservation 5 times for the truck and the app could not process the information that I put in but did not tell me what I left a field blank, or which field (if any) that it couldn't process. There was nothing to tell me what I was specifically doing wrong. After about the 5th time, I thought that I got one to go through and received a text msg that someone would call. No one called and the reservation did not show up in the app. I called the 800 number and they said that they saw the reservation, but it was not connecting to my account. The next day I called the facility where I was renting the truck and they had no evidence of my reservation. They seemed to have trouble dealing with U-Haul's processes & software but they said they had a truck available. So I called U-Haul's 800 number again to try and make the reservation and they did not see a truck listed at the location that told me they had one available. So they moved me to another location. When I got to that location on rental day, it took 30 minutes to pick up the truck due to them trying navigate U-Haul's processes for renting. I could go on with my frustration with U-Haul but suffice it to say that U-Haul will not be my first choice when I need to rent a truck again. It would help others if U-Haul would fix their entire processes, procedures, and software to smoothly be able to rent without jumping through so many hoops, the app not being as user-friendly as possible and not seeming to update in real time, and the internal processes that seem to confuse even U-Haul's employees and associates.
