The truck was dirty inside the cab and box of the truck. The truck being dirty is my biggest issue. I don't want to get charged a cleaning fee for something I did not do. Items were blocking the box that holds the keys. No where to park when I returned the truck. I had to park in the street next to the building. A guy came and moved it fairly quickly but not until I got done checking the truck back into the u-haul website.KOBY R.

Make sure that there is a person to talk with. I had absolutely no,phone contact with anyone at this facility. I made multiple calls to each number listed but all to no avail. I finally drove there to pick up rental. The place is filthy, the lot was a muddy mess.Darlene P.

Honor the reservation and confirmation, dont "upgrade" a 10 ft truck to a 26 ft without talking to the customer. Cab was dirty, transmission slipped often, entire experience was awful to be honest.Patrick C.

Had truck reserved in Tuscaloosa, but truck was not available, so I had to drive to this location (nearest location) to pick up the truck I reserved. Arrived at 9am and store was not open. Completed rental on phone with store representative. Store representative was helpful and courteous.Thomas D.

I originally reserved a truck for the Vestavia location and received a call the night before saying that there wasn't a truck available. I asked to be accommodated for driving 27 miles out of my way and back, I was told no. Also when I arrived to pick up my truck it was completely filthy on the inside. I wasn't going to clean it, it was not my responsibility to clean someone else's mess. I wanted another truck but the location did not open until 9 which was a 2hr inconvenience for me. When I dropped off the truck, I was charged $30 for not cleaning up a mess I did not make. That is completely unfair. I called uhaul customer service. I couldn't get anyone on the line. I have used uhaul before and never had such bad service. I returned a truck the same way I received it and i get penalized for it. Ridiculous. Something has to be done about itRaConda M.

I was told by renter I was paying for 2 days then I got an email my 6 hour return time had expired I contacted an online chat I was told I was paid till the next day and had to return to original rental place which was done in less than 24 hours so why have I been charged for two days on my debit cardShirley C.

There was no one there to meet me at the time I was supposed to pick up the truck. No one answered the phone number I was given to call for that location. It was 20 miles further out than my original location. I had no contract and the vehicle was not full of gas and when I returned it at the level it was I was charged for to fill it up. This was the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul and I am telling everyone i know.Archie P.

I was schedule to pick up the trailer at 10:00 AM Saturday. When I arrived, no one was there, now answer to their contact number x 2. I had to contact customer service, who contacted the location owner. I was kept on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up and the owner showed up. The customer service agent never came back on line for an update.John P.

There wasn't a key lockbox as shown on UHAUL app. Had to call contact listed for rental pickup location to find out where key was located. Took 20 minutes to get in touch with right person for answers. Turns out previous renters did not return lockbox, so the rental pickup location left entire truck unlocked and hid key inside back of truck. If I hadn't called, I never would have found the key. This also posed issue when returning the truck, because they had to verify that I wasn't at fault for the missing lockbox. (Didn't realize lockbox was missing until after I'd submitted truck damages portion of 24/7 truck pickup on app.)Jessica H.
