Have used uhaul two other times and this truck I had should be retired. With the check engine light on and the steering seems loose or wondering. 139000 miles I think it has seen its last days. I know the place I rented wasn't their fault but uhaul should look at their equipment closer.
Steve W.I was charged $99 for a 5hr rental. .52¢ per mile was never mentioned during the inquiry of rental NOR DURING THE RENTAL PROCESS. We made 1-28 mile trip & back again. I WILL NOT give UHAUL my business again due to hidden fees. I could have made 3 trips in my Jeep for less money. And will next time. Very disappointed w my charges. Had I known I'd be charged $99+ for 5 hrs. I'd have just kept it parked for my remaining 19 hr rental period.

Mark E.This truck's ABS braking system was not working. While this 26' truck was actually quite new and clean, it was in need of a serious trip to the shop. Everything about the ride was uncomfortable and when traveling over a road even slightly bumpy it felt like one's neck would be damaged.

Curt S.I have emailed separately about being overcharged. I communicated with the operators on various occasions, but they were not always answering their phones and once I was called separately about something that I had already discussed with another person. In light of COViD, I don't believe renting the truck to another person in such short order is responsible so the truck can be truly cleaned and sanitized. The truck I drove one way would not have been there if not for me. The week before there were no trucks to be had in this size and I had to drive to the next town to rent a 20 foot truck. Mt. Pleasant is not as well stocked as it should be.

Michael K.The only problem I had was with the rear "spring assisted" slide-up door. The cable became entangled and I had to unbolt the cable end attachment to the door to be able to close it. Otherwise, everything was good. The two nuts I took off to unbolt the cable end were placed in a rubber glove and left in the back of the trailer within easy eyesight for the repair needed.

Andrew M.If purchasing additional hours was an option that would have been most ideal. I found the whole pick up/drop off to be smooth and easy, but I most likely won't use U-Haul again for the simple fact additional hourly rate was not an option instead was charged for 2 day service.
