This facility hires shady staff. I had a 24 hour uhaul rental from September 30 12:00 PM until October 1 12:00PM. I opted for the in person check in\check out. When I returned the truck at 10:47AM October 1 and was ready for the vehicle inspection, the attendant with the curly hair insisted i didn't need to do anything but leave the key and a receipt would be emailed me to me within a half hour. Even after asking if we could go do the inspection right then, she insisted I could leave and was all good. When I checked my email later in the day, it appeared that the staff took two whole hours to finally inspect the vehicle, but they marked that I returned the truck after 12:00PM and therefore unjustly charged me for two rental periods. I made numerous attempts to call the facility during their business hours to have them correct their mistake but they refuse to answer and do not answer the phone. DO NOT utilize this establishment. They needed to be investigated for fraudulent activities.Christopher C.

The short skinny girl with glasses told me if I don't know how to back a trailer up I can't rent there anymore. I did not see that verbiage anywhere so I felt discriminated against. Also there was a van parked in the middle parking spot. I could have backed it up (maybe not straight) but was scared to hit the uhaul that was sitting there. Then she says well maybe you can get someone to help you. If I had someone to help me I would be doing everything by myself. She had no care or compassion. Made me feel inadequate. All my other experiences have been positive there beside this one this past Sunday 10/1. Would recommend her get some retraining on how to approach situations.Sunshine T.

The sign is not clear for pickup all I knew is very confusing. I arrived at the office 15 minutes before my pick up time they opened at 9:00 am I was there at 11:00 am the office door is locked and the lights are turned off, and there's a call box by the front door office but I have no idea if it is working cause no body is responding. I waited a few minutes and there's someone came out a pickup truck from the storage gate and asked a question if I am in the right place and no one can tell me . I drove a round looking for help then went back to the office, I feel relieved the lights were on and the office door is open and finally I got what I needed I asked one of clerk if they were open earlier and they were not so polite quote We were open and the door nener looked! and I replied okay I was just wondering cause when I was there the office was closed (door locked, lights off) I was treated very poorly I couldn't recommend this place at all. Hope I have a better luck next time I love to rent but not treated like this. Thank you very much for allowing me to express my opinions on your survey!!!Ben A.
Nothing wrong with the location and staff, both friendly, helpful and professional. However, this was not the location that the pick-up location instructed us to use - that location was non-existent! We ended-up getting a "police escort" to the actual drop-off site. Perhaps U-haul needs to (minimally) UPDATE the list of open/working U-Haul pick-up and drop-off locations!KATHERINE B.

This location is inconvenient, because you can't leave your car while using the U-haul trucks. Office hours indicate that was open until 5:00, but I was there at 4:15 & the office was already closed.Kennette G.

I reserved the truck from 2pm to 7pm and it was approved then when I pick up uhaul they say I need to return it by 5:30pm and I don't know why my reservation was approved until 7pm. Very unhappy and was not able to get all my items I needed to get. Then was charged an extra nine dollars for gas. Not a happy customer at allMonique G.
Truck had check engine light on. The person that did our co tract was rude and didn't answer questions or concerns. She didn't even do a walk around the truck to check it for damages or anything. Very poor customer service and the facility is often inhabited bY homeless people that are a nuisance and threat to the security of the storage units.Cheryl S.

I received a Uhaul within 3/4 tank gas but the agreement said full. After I returned the Uhaul, I did refill more than what I received but they still charged more than what I used. I have a video of the beginning when I received the Uhaul to show how tank gas is.Phuong P.

The only concern I had was that there was no drop off box for the keys as it stated during the check out process. I had to call a few places to finally know where to drop the keys. It's ridiculous that it was in the mailbox slot at the front door of the office.Thoai T.

It's better to discuss the terms of the offer and explain every details of what will be charged to the customer and what will not. Without obtaining the signature of customer you are charging them for fuel fees and mileage fees, when the customer has refilled the fuel to same level before starting the trip. Even when customer returns the vehicle with exactly with the amount of fuel provided, they are compelled to pay excess fees. Really pathetic experience with UHaul.Harsh S.
Out of he around 50 rentals I have had with Uhaul, this was by far my WORST experience with a rental. I ordered this truck with the mobile app so I can return it on my schedule, the dealer would not allow me to return the truck after hours. then I returned the truck cleaner than I got the truck and the dealer charged me $25 for cleaning. We went bac to the dealer within an hour of getting the invoice and they refused to show me the pictures or let me see the dirty truck after admitting the truck was still there.Gary L.

This was not the location my truck was supposed to be picked up at. I was supposed to rent it from 8524 Florin Rd, and had a reservation for it. After standing in line for 40 minutes I was informed my truck had to be sent out for repairs and so I needed to go to another location 7051 Power Inn Rd. When I arrived the staff had cancelled my reservation so I was lucky to get a truck at all. Even though there were 4 other locations closer to me, they choose this location who then informed me the truck needed to be returned by 5 PM even though the first two hours of the day had been wasted by u-Haul. It would have taken a single phone call the moment the truck wasn't available at my location so that I was aware of the shell game you were playing with trucks! Thanks for wasting 2 hours and making my day even more stressful!!edward N.

Disappointed too learn that smaller trucks don't have a ramp. And please check the key. It appears to not be original key for truck and was very hard to turn and start ignition. Inside of truck needs a wipe down. Thank you.SHYBRIA L.

The ladies at storage facility were very polite and professional. They answered the questions I had. I had a mishap the morning I had to return the truck. For some reason my storage unit (different location) had a lock on our storage unit and their office didn't open til 9 am. The ladies let me keep the truck so that I could figure out my storage fiasco, of course with the appropriate charges. I will be referring all my friends here.Alea H.

Everyone was great, the only concern would be the outside of the truck, the windows and mirrors were very difficult to see out of due to truck not clean on outside could cause accident. The people at location even though are very helpful and courteous can not help with billing. I have a dispute with billing putting a second hold on my account even though at end rental contract was paid in full. The representatives at billing were very rude and would not even take the time to explain the situation to me. As of right now billing is still holding my money and I still do not have an answer as to why.TIMOTHY W.
Overall, this is the best customer service Uhaul location I ever experienced at Elk Grove and Sacramento. The customer rep was proactive and helped us right away. However, the uhaul website was the worse experience because it didn't allow us to check-in online and also redirected my request to different locations.APRIL L.
