1. Employee called 30min before my pickup time and asked that I show up later than scheduled. Was rude when I declined arrived on schedule. 2. Employee cursed when filling out my paperwork. I don’t want to listen to people curse. 3. We complete all the signatures on the paperwork and go outside to the vehicle and it’s a box truck instead of the pickup that I reserved. Employee told me they don’t carry pickups at that location. I was unable to load the boat engine into the box truck because of the height of the lift. This was a complete waste of time and money.

Konstantine GI am not sure if this had to do with the location, but I received a weird email stating that my pickup location was being moved to Pasadena Maryland at the Citgo location. So, I drove directly there, and they had no record of my reservation. The Severna Park location where I originally scheduled my pickup was closed so I could not call to confirm if my truck was there. I eventually drove to the Severna Park location and my truck reservation was in fact there, so I was able to pick it up but it was a very bizarre scenario. I am not sure what happened. Additionally, since the Severna Park location was closed, I had to check in and drop off via my phone. It is an easy process, but the service at the location was very poor for me yesterday and I almost couldn't process my drop off.

david dThe only flag for this location is there is very little cell service so if the office isn't staffed during drop-off, you might struggle with the U-Haul app enabled process without WiFi.

Robert CThe gentleman at the location just had me hand over the key and I was dismissed. He wasn't rude at all - very nice in fact. But I left not having a clue about whether everything was going to measure up. I figured it would - gas was over the level and mileage under the allowable (although what the final email said I was allowed was less than on my contract) and the truck was totally clean. But who knows what's going to be done or happen between handing the key to a stranger and having it inspected?? I was not at all comfortable handing over the key and walking away not having been checked in and cleared. It's a really bad process and terribly customer unfriendly. Also, every day of my trip, some woman from U-haul called me wanting me to commit to a location for drop-off and an exact time and day and I was NOT about to do that when I hadn't even left home yet when she started. I was harassed every day. Like, STOP IT AND LEAVE ME ALONE! What a horrible process! I've done more than 20 U-haul rentals. I know this process. I'll find a location and return it when I'm finished with the truck. I had no idea exactly when it was all going to be finished - it depends on everyone showing up on time and no break-downs and no emergencies and all the thousand things that can go wrong. That was just harassment as far as I was concerned and next time, if I get the first call like that, it will be the last call because I'll block U-haul. If I need THAT kind of help, I'll ask. Ugh.

Tracie HThere is no cell service for Verizon customers at this location. It took us 45 mins to do the self pick up and were late for the movers. This was after the original Pasadena location I rented from didn’t have the correct truck. We then rented another uhaul from the Bowie location and upon arrival found out that the truck had not been returned to that location. This caused the most chaotic move I’ve ever had in 15 moves. There is no excuse for this poor organization and communication when moving is one of the most stressful events without the added stress of uhaul.

Brandie MTrying to get a one way u haul from Aberdeen Maryland to my home in North Carolina was such a disaster.one way was impossible to find. i was told i would be credited for the 90 mile journey ( one way ) to find one. Then had to drive back to load up at my residence when iN ALL REALITY I had found a uhual just across the street at a shell station in Aberdeen who stated that he would not rent it one way. i find that utterly ridiculas. i was out a total of $1325.00 to drive home just over 500 miles.this ALSO cost me a hotel that i did not want to have to pay for or even stay in Aberdeen in the first place. i flew up to get a uhaul had to wait 24 hours to locate one 90 mies away. so no my experience was a big fat ZERO on a scale of 1 to 10. then got charged on top of that for 3 gallons of gas ?? it was on full when i dropped it off . what a terrible experience from the start with (( UHAUL ))

Martin PThe location is poorly marked and not easy to locate or maneuver in. Further, I was told at the pick up that the blankets did NOT have to be returned, yet I have now been charged 72$ for the blankets after I had already paid for the use of them. The charge was placed simultaneously with a phone call to call them-I was traveling back to home and had no opportunity to return call until after they made charges.

Byron RThe truck I rented drove fine. However, the inside of my truck had a few empty water bottles and small trash in it when I picked it up. Also, the outside of the truck was just a plain white box truck. No real UHaul logos or branding. The other trucks I saw there looked nice. Paul was very helpful service wise during the pickup process.

Paula ANeeds better signs from the road. Check / fill oil in the vehicle prior to rental. I had to add 3 quarts. So glad I checked in prior to getting on the road for 8 hours. I will rent from Penske for my next truck rental.
Jerome RFirst, I was greeted by being chastised for being 30 minutes late, in the middle of a pandemic, nice. Next, despite checking in on line the night before, it still took me 20 minutes to get my trailer. The dealer had to get on the phone with a UHaul rep to diagnose a system problem and essentially had to recreate the reservation again. This is the third time the UHaul system has caused in a significant delay in picking up my rental. Terrible.
Michael OIf there were instructions on the app to find the black box easier in the self check in portion, that would be nice. We were able to find it, but in the dark it was hard to find it right away.
John LTruck had not been swept out. Don’t think this was a local issue but the truck had 183k miles and should be used for local only. Oil light was on when I first started the truck. Level was ok so I drove it but checked it a couple times on my trip. Truck made the trip but i was concerned all way down I-95
Teddy NThis was so easy and convenient for our short distance move! Plenty of moving blankets available for rent so we didn’t have to buy them. Plenty of storage units too in case you need to store some items. Will use again!
gaberielle lWe were very disappointed that Uhaul never gave us a quote that included ALL taxes and fees. We found this extremely misleading, and it was a huge shock to discover when we picked up our vehicle that we were being asked to pay several hundred dollars more than was "originally" quoted to us. Additionally, the man at the location we picked up our vehicle at was very surly and unhelpful. I would NEVER recommend Uhaul to a friend, and I plan to never use Uhaul again.

We had to rent additional equipment from Penske, and wow what a difference, polite, better equipment, available product and again customer focused. I will never use UHAUL again
