I had to wait for over an hour to meet with the operator, was rushed into renting the only available truck because the other ones needed repair, was told that the price was the same for the large size and medium size. Then I was overcharged, and even though I rented it from a gas station and was under the impression that I could refill the gas there and get a cash discount I was charged an extra fee afterwards. When I tried to call and figure out what happened, I was treated rudely. This is the 3rd uhaul I've rented in a month, and the only bad experience I've had. I will not rent from this location again, and I feel like I was taken advantage of.aaron W.

On August 22, 2020, my nephew and I rented a U-Haul truck from Yemi to move from one house to another in Clemson, SC. Yemi was very professional and a pleasure to work with. Our truck was clean, very well maintained, and operated beautifully. Yemi also had all the extras we needed including blankets and an appliance dolly. I highly recommend Yemi and the U-Haul rental truck location at 219 Pendleton Road in Clemson!elizabeth H.

Our first location at D&J Tire Repair was deplorable. We never felt safe at that location and the owner would easily get an attitude. We watched him get into a shouting match with a customer. When there was a problem with the reservation he refused to do anything and left it to us to complete the check in process. The owner refused to follow Uhaul procedures for protection from COVID.Luckily you office in Charlotte was able to find us a trailer at another location.STEPHAN B.

My overall experience was good. However, when I called to rent the trailer to go from Spartanburg to Clemson (less than 75 miles), I was given a quote for the rental of $199 for the one way trip. I questioned the amount but was told that it was correct. I called a few days later to confirm what I was renting and that it was a one way rental and again questioned the amount since I had rented a truck to move another daughter to Knoxville,TN last year and it was not very much more to rent that than what I was paying for a much smaller trailer vs a truck and we were not going nearly as far. I was again told that it the amount was correct. When we went to pick up the rental, the amount was much less (about $30) but the drop off location was not Clemson, as I had indicated that I wanted, but instead was bout 15 miles away from Clemson in Piedmont,SC. The gentleman at the Spartanburg location told us to call UHaul the next day and that we could change our drop off location. We did this, got a confirmation of the change from the lady that I spoke with, and took the rental to the location in Clemson. This location was not very well marked, so we missed it a couple of times but finally found it. When we went in to drop off the trailer, the man there tried to make us pay for dropping off at the incorrect location and would not call the main center as we asked him to do several times. We were finally able to leave and did not pay the extra money but I was concerned that I would be billed since my card was on file. This experience was not positive for us.Taylor H.

I ordered the truck while a had a primary driver pick up the truck. I ordered no insurance and thought that's what I would get. I see the bill after the driver picked it up and this location added on the highest insurance. Myself and the primary driver should have been on the same page, but this should not have been added since I ordered no insurance.Jeff B.

Have the right equipment that the customer paid for, so they aren't having to haul a bigger truck and an auto transporter rather than a tow dolly. It takes a hit at the wallet having to pay for unecessary gas!Evan D.
Dropped off uhaul and they just told me to leave them the key. Didn't give me any paperwork. My mistake for leaving without any. Because a week later I have received a receipt showing extra charges when I was told that morning from a phone call from a uhaul agent i would not be charged for returning later in day. This applies you Uhauls Service. Wait time to a service operator is way too long. About 40 -50 min wait. They canceled one of my uhaul orders when i specified the exact reservation number to cancel...jonathan F.

Mr. Patel was efficient, helpful, and came on Sunday to give us our truck. However, the "online/by phone" U-Haul staff were utterly impossible. They gave our 10ft truck away to a customer who ordered one online a half hour after we placed our order; then claimed they'd "upgraded us to a 15ft-truck and let us know via text." We do not text. AND we are in our 60s; the truck had to go into a building site where a 15-footer would have been heavier/difficult. The woman Mr. Patel and I spoke to was rude, and untruthful until I pressed her to read me the time stamp on the second customer's order. We will gladly rent from Mr. Patel again, but U-Haul needs to iron out some system/personnel kinks.....Dean P.
The lady at the Shell Station was very polite and helpful when I dropped the uhaul off. The Uhaul facility was closed, but she answered all my questions and told me I would be emailed my receipt by Monday, and I received it only a couple hours later.Jess H.
