William SI rented a 5X9 open trailer for a motorcycle but was given a trailer with no wheel chock space and only 4 D rings instead of 6. It also had a burned out taillight. It was not a trailer for a motorcycle.
Randall SBoth locations were great. The bad part of the experience is on line. First, I reserved two trailers three weeks before the date I needed them. Four days prior to pickup, I get a call that the location does not have any trailers. Then what is the point of making a reservation? So I had to change to one way rental, but the web site won't let me select the dropoff location I want. I called the location and they want the trailers. I had to call Uhaul again to get the approval to drop off at the location. Fortunately for Uhaul, there are no other easy options, or I would get elsewhere.
STUART DInitially told there was a motorcycle trailer at this place and only a 9x5 utility there which is about 300lbs more than the motorcycle. Was towing with 3.0ltr Ford Ranger and was slow haul through mountains in PA.
HAROLD AThis is my second rental in two consecutive weekends. And again, the receiving location was CLOSED, this time on Friday, approx. 3 PM. Two weekends in a row. Unbelievable. Shame. I used the UHaul app to return the trailer.
BRATISLAV SIt’s not where I rented it from had to drive extra 50 miles to get it.
Rick RAt approximately 9 AM on Saturday, the location was closed. No one showed up for at least 30 mins. I dropped off the trailer using online UHaul instructions. Other customers came to pick up their rental truck, but we're also shocked to realize the place was locked. Shame.
BRATISLAV SSo I went to where my paperwork said to drop it off at. I scanned the QR and found out that I was 25 miles away from where I was actually to be. Needless to say that took a full hour out of my night.
DAVID PNothing. Rental contract was completed easily and accurately, with no delays. Staff helped inspect the trailer, educated on use and safety issues, and hooked up trailer to hitch, ensuring that brake lights and turn signals worked on trailer.

Stanley MThis location presented a safety hazard to my journey. The clerk (“Steve”) told me that that “might” have a 6’x12’ trailer available for me to rent, except that it “might” have a flat tire. When I went around the back of the facility to pick up the trailer, there were no fewer than six trailers of that size. Later, after packing up the trailer and preparing to set out on a 2000 mile journey, I find that not one, but TWO of the trailer tires were unfit to travel and needed to be replaced (one tire was completely flat; one tire had a visibly broken belt). So, tell me that these guys at the rental location did not see a single woman (and soon to be non-local) as the perfect patsy on whom they could pawn off the faulty trailer? Shame on Shoreline - Typical behavior from this area.

Roger GI rented a car transport, and the ratchet straps were very hard to work due to the rust. My recommendation is to use some lubrication on them from time to time.

Kolja HEquipment was broken. U-haul should have known that when they dropped off the equipment to the pickup location. Check your tow dolly strap lengths to make sure they weren’t cut by someone else prior to you renting a tow dolly. If I didn’t have my own straps I would not have been able to tow the vehicle. Disastrous rental from U-haul. No problem with the pick up location. It’s not their fault.

LARRY LThis was the worst experience we have ever had renting a uhaul. We were scheduled for one time and then bumped to a later time without notification. The person at the location where we picked up the rental was incompetent and slow. We waited almost the amount of time to get a solution as the time we were inadvertently changed to without our notification. We had movers scheduled to help us move and had to pay them $500 more to stay to complete the move, which we would not have been able to do on our own, as we have a newborn baby. I would not recommend uhaul ever again.

joseph BUhaul should be proud to have this business as a retail outlet. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and customer oriented. Employee was quick - since he knew i was in a hurry. He expedites the process and hooked up the trailer - but NO short cuts in safety - he double checked the hitch connections and lights. Great experience and excellent uhaul retail outlet.

Andrew BA simple phone call back to the dispatching location could have fixed an inadvertent error. They proceeded to charge me $200+ dollars that now I have to fight to get back. Not too happy that I have to waste my time to dispute a bill.
