The truck I had had bad wipers and motor started acting funny like jerking

DIANE LI was told on the scheduling phone call the mileage tare was 99cent p/m. This was 20cent higher than my original scheduled day I was told different days have different rates. After completing my move there was no adjustment made for actual miles I estimated 120 and used 112. My biggest complaint is I was not even charged the higher price of 99 cpm but 1.29cpm. I called store but clerk said she couldn't handle it.

BRENDAN TYou all gave me fifty two miles to use for moving— I picked it up in Strasburg and dropped it off in New Market— which are 38 miles apart… leaving me 14 miles to use to move… and then charged me an additional $1/mile? Also— your trucks say $19.95/day but, I was somehow charge $124.00/day— which again only included 52 miles. You all are the WORST
Whitney PIt was behind the building in the dark. Hard to find. The gps took us across the street. The online app would not work to check in so I had to go in store to get checked in etc. Truck had crumbs in the cup holder and I saw a roach in the cabin of the truck.
Jennifer LI picked up the truck I rented 3 weeks before I needed it, 2 hours from where I needed it. It was very inconvenient and added several hours to my weekend move. I incurred more gas cost and was not happy with U-Haul overall.

denise tI wish I could rate our original location of our rental which was Harrisonburg, VA. New Market was decent but it was VERY hard to understand the employee, he had a very thick accent. But back to Harrisonburg, the employee there was very sweet but our truck was not available on the day we rented it. We did not find out until 8 am the morning we were to pick it up at 10 am. It wasn't the employees fault, the previous renters did not drop the truck off and they couldn't locate the renter or truck. Here are some suggestions.....put trackers on your trucks so at least you can locate them, if a truck is not available it should be up to UHaul to find the customer another truck locally (we had to call cooperate to find ourselves a truck while we were on our way to Harrisonburg to get a truck that didn't exist) and if this ever happens to a customer a discount/money back should be offered to them (we had to ask for a refund and were offered $50 which wasn't reflected on our bill and we had to call again and it's STILL not reflected on our bill). Moving is stressful enough and when you reserve a truck you expect it to be available, not 'maybe' be availability. The whole situation was EXTREMELY stressful and continues to be as we chase down the $50 we more than deserve.

James GI would not rent from this location. When I rented the uhaul the gas was on empty and I called as soon as I left the location and asked why the gas was on empty and he proceeded to tell me the other person must have brought it back that way. So I asked if that’s how I bring it back. He said yea. So after returning the uhaul they held my contract for a month and charged me over 600 dollars and not explaining or answering the phone to explain. When returning the uhaul the gentleman called me very rudely and asked why I didn’t drop the keys off in the store. I said isn’t that’s why u have a drop box and they never told me that I had to return the keys personally to them. I then got rudely talked to and I asked for the customer service number so I could call in a complaint and he gave me the owner of the store number which is a gas station not a actual uhaul place. I am very highly mad and will never recommend uhaul at this location.

I told him that I had experienced bad service in regard to sites for pickup and drop-off and that I was leaving the equipment (because this is where I was told to leave it - and it was already 1/2 hour drive from Harrisonburg, my destination!) He relented.

John BMy preferred location was less than a mile away from the move location at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. U-Haul rerouted me to New Market VA for the pickup. I drove two hours, round trip, to pick up the trailer in a vehicle that gets less than 14 MPG. Fuel in VA is now $4.50. I received an email of the change that I noticed after the fact. Further, he couldn't print a financial statement or email it. I gave him my phone to photograph, in two shots, the entirety of the agreement. I'd just returned from 20 hours in the air to discover the change. NOT A FAN.

larry HYour allotted mile allowance is skimpy, to use a kind word. I drove direct to my destination, which was 4 miles pasr the drop-off point. I can understand your accountants may have found an obscured revenue stream within your operations. What customer would fight a few extra $$$ added after the toil of moving is complete? Not many, I'll bet, and that's a tidy sum to collect for the mass of people who trust your brand. Your move to raise more short-term income has worked. You've also lost this customer for the rest of My life. Get back to actual Customer Service.
