The uhaul experience was the worst . I reserved a truck over a month before my move and called 3 times the week before the move to find out why my reservation wasn't online. I was told not to worry by all 3 people I spoke to. The day before the move I got a call telling me that they didn't have the 26ft truck I ordered and offered me a much smaller truck. I ended up without a one way trip like I ordered and a truck that didn't fit all my stuff. It cost me hundreds more than I planned on due to multiple trips and having to return to the same location. I will never use uhaul againLorri R.
The location was not inviting at all. They never answer the phone. The prerecorded voicemail is not inviting and a bit intimidating. They have cameras everywhere saying â€œyou are being recordedâ€. In short i'd absolutely never come here again. Did i mention they don't answer the phone? The uhaul also had a lot of hair in it like someone was trimming nose hairs. Very gross.Crystal A.

The parking lot is on a hill, so I would highly suggest that the U-Boxes be placed so when the door opens that it does not swing back and hit you. This was a problem when we came to unload our U-Box. If we had not brought something to prop open the door - it would not have stayed open.SUSAN F.

Provide the equipment rented with the order, don't forget to put it in the truck if someone is picking up after desk hours. Require that people leave it AT LEAST at half tank, I couldn't even get it to my desired location without needing to put $75 in it for gas.Matt U.

The people and the location was great. The truck was clean and ready by the pick-up site. The truck had a very loud whistling noise at highway speeds. I figured it out after 10 hours of ear breaking head numbing noise. The passenger door was out of alignment and the rubber seal was vibrating against the body of the truck. It had done it so much the paint was worn off. Next time I will try budget or Penske.ROBERT T.

Person at front desk was not friendly. Did not inform that dolly was not available till pick up. Having to give 4 phone numbers is ridiculous. Drop off, not enough signal and stood outside in the freezing cold for 25 minutes waiting for the process online to finish return. Sudden $5.00 charge when gas was returned to the exact placement it was at pick up, is obscene. Especially since I already paid $15 at royal farms. Overall not pleased with this business or uhaul.IAN K.

Rich was fantastic, i recently rented a trailer with a ramp twice in a 1 week period. Excuse the pun, all went well without a hitch. I was in and out and on the road in less than 30 minutes. The online return process was unduly long. When I return a rental car it's much easier & faster. I spent waaaay too much time last night trying to share location with the uhaul website as part of the vehicle return. It was painful enough that I might consider not renting from uhaul in the future if it's not streamlined? I can understand a detailed return process for a multi-day, cross country rental but c'mon, i rented a van for a few hours to move a mattress in a large cardboard box. :-(DANIEL F.

Trailer wiring was damaged. We had to take another trailer, which was fine, but not until after we were told the problem was with our truck wiring. The broken trailer wire was visible and we got the problem sorted out, but that should have been caught by the lot manager. Created some unnecessary tension the way it was initially handled.NANCY G.

This was not the location I selected when I put in for my rental. It was a half hour drive from my house. It did not open until 9 am and they were not ready with the truck until 9:45 which was 45 minutes later than the scheduled pick up timeMARK W.
During self-checkout, the pictures would not upload and I could not complete the process. I have an Android. Thankfully, my friend signed into my U-Haul account on her iPhone and had no issues with self-checkout. Please make renters aware if this is a consistent issue with Androids and make a support contact readily available. I had no quick way to get tech support. Frustrating after a long day of moving while sitting in a secluded U-Haul parking lot.Ronda A.

Although Truck was clean, after pulling out of the parking lot, the A/C did not work. Called the location and they said they would try to locate a replacement truck. A/C started working. Thought everything was ok. Stopped and filled the truck, started the truck No A/C engine light came on, another light showing a wrench, seat belt alarms started going off. Even though we unhooked, reconnected several times, the seat belt alarms continued. I called the Pick up location and was told that I would have to Drive the defective truck to Hampsted MD about 30-40 miles and exchange the truck. The truck was unsafe however, I had no choice. I also was told that the trailer I had ordered would be local, BUT I ended up having to travel from Hampsted MD to Red Lion PA to pick up the trailer another 30-40 miles out of my way. By the time I had all of the equipment (FINALLY) I had missed my movers. This process started at 10am and I arrived back to my home at 6:00pm The movers were there at 3pm. I had to pay an additional amount to have the movers come back the next day. Quite a disappointing experience. I was on the phone for hours with U-Haul. I would never recommend U-Haul again expect for the ONE BRIGHT SPOT and that was the U-Haul storage person, who once I finally arrived to Florida was so kind and helpful. Marie is the only reason I would ever consider U Haul again And BTW I will be needing a moving truck again on 10/19/21. As long as I can deal only with The Brooksville Storage facility and Marie, I will schedule U-haul for this move.Cathy Y.
This location is good however the service from Uhaul is terrible. My truck was supposed to be located in Hanover but got moved to red lion 45 mins away. Such a scam especially since it's $1 per mile. I'll be using another company next time.JAMES K.

I got there with wing ball on hitch but had correct ball but they wouldn't loan me the wrench to switch it out. I ended up going to auto zone for a bitch with correct ball. When I got back, they said oh we all then here. I know I should of had the wrench to change it, but come on guysRONALD M.

Truck not ready despite being 20 minutes past pick up time. Had to go inside to inquire after trying to do mobile contactless pick up and not finding truck. On reservation bought 12 furniture pads but was told at pick up they didn't have any- would have been helpful to get a call before picking up about no pads so I could have got done elsewhere. Has to make 2 trips instead of 1 since we could not stack furniture with no pads.Tammy M.
