This concept is really cool but was not executed properly. It took us over 40 minutes to get into the truck itself due to the codes failing. Once we finally got in the previous person left pallets inside that we had to clean out prior to us leaving and starting our move.

It's weird just being in a gas station parking lot trying to figure out and upload all the info. The attendant was not helpful (guess u-haul is not part of his job description, so I don't fault him). Plus the truck was missing the drivers side locking mechanism so we had to crawl in from the passenger side.
James STruck was filthy inside the cabin when I picked it up and I made of note of it. Then when I tried to report the truck is dirty upon dropping it off, UHaul attempted to charge me for a cleaning.
Tash MThe trucks are usually filthy and there's no one to speak to about it during my truck rental pick-ups. I've attempted to submit a review (a few times) about this in detail, but I'm not sure if they went thru because the page kept closing out or "expiring" as I was submitting
ISSIARA PDirections do not match. I had to go inside and wait another 30 minutes because they changed the lock and hold the key.

Meredith BI was charged $14 insurance even though I opted out of that while making a reservation online. My email to customer service requesting a reimbursement was not answered.
Wojciech KI had a horrible experience. It took 1.5 hours to pick up the truck which was dealt from a gas station. I was told I could return it in San Diego, the place I moved to, bit found out later I had to return it to LA. The charge was 300$ from Uhaul which was significantly more than I feel comfortable with.
Andrew HFirst time doing a U-Haul contract at a remote location solely by phone. Interesting process. Worked out fine - would do it again.
Clarence GDrop off location was very hard to tell because it was a gas station. Only saw a small sign that read Uhaul return or drop off (in some sort of manner) on one parking stall facing the brick wall. The receiving personnel was hard to understand and could not give me any reassurance that my drop off uhaul was completed. He basically just took pictures of the mileage and gas gauge with his personal cell phone. Was not given any paperwork that my drop was completed. The next day, I received an email saying that Uhaul had not received my vehicle, which made me panic. Was not a very good experience at all.
Sonny KThis wasn't even the correct location! I did the check out, logged all pictures and information and when I went to turn in the keys, the attendant had no idea what I was talking about. I spent THREE days trying to contact someone from UHaul with no response. I finally contacted a local distributor who was able to take the truck. This was the worst experience of my life!
