I would focus more on informing the renter about the after hours return. I didn't read the information until I had left the site - and then it was too late for the system to allow me to return the vehicle with my phone.

The Uhaul check-out and check-in process using the app is clunking and frustrating to use. It tried to charge me extra for fuel when I went to turn in the vehicle, even though I had filled it up with gas and set the fuel level in the app to Full. I then had to restart the entire check in process and take the pictures all over again.

Michelle W.Owner yelled at me on the phone, would not accept that his employee told me incorrect information and STILL charged me a fee that I should not have had. Said it was my fault that his employee told me I was completely finished and that they would move the truck and take care of everything, only to find an after hours service charge of $21.45 on my final bill. When discussed with owner, he became irate and began yelling at me as I was letting him know that his employee lacked training. He said that his employee was a gas station employee and not a uhaul employee which I responded......"then he should not be in a position of power to make decisions for your uhaul company as a non-uhaul employee" which irritated him even more. Bottom line.....this franchise owner is a disgrace to the good name your company has created. If $21.45 was enough to lose a customer.....Im not so sure that you want them as a long term representative of your business.
