Absolutely terrible and potentially a scam. I would not send an enemy here. If you reserve and they change it call U-Haul and refuse pick up. First truck I received the box smelled like rotten meat, had no brakes, the front end wobble was terrifying, and the check engine light was on. Seriously a potential death trap. Next truck worked but wasn't much better. Got me home though. The repair shop is not affiliated. You go to the trailer park. Everything is handle third party over the phone. No office no physical documentation and they forge your signature. Seriously avoid at all costs. I know it's the south but we are in 2024 places like this should not exist. Seriously reconsidering ever using U-Haul again.

This pick up location was the worst I have been to. She was working out of her mobile home and gave me unfolded, unbagged furniture pads that were laying on her couch with pets in the home. My daughter got a couple of fleas on her, so we washed all of the pads 3 at a time before we could use them. I paid for 24 but only got 20.

Missing the cotter pin on my trailer, got charged for two days and the insurance on a single day rental. Not the locations fault, just U-Haul in general. Sadly I don’t have another choice but to go with them.

When we got The U-Haul home we opened up the back and they were shattered glass all over the floor . Made things difficult . They should be cleaned out .

BEWARE. I do not trust this facility. For starters, when we arrived for pick up, we were informed the truck we had reserved, was not available, so we were given a bigger, more expensive truck that we did not need. That’s not even the biggest part for me. When they had to make changes to our order due to a truck change, they added insurance without my permission, THEN they signed for my card to be charged. I have screenshots of the forms that I did not sign. I am not too happy with this forgery or unavailability of the truck I reserved without a heads up. I did send a message regarding my concerns and never heard back. There are multiple reviews that state having this same issue with Smiths General Repair. BEWARE.

Unlike my pickup location, . . I was not impressed with this location. No signage & no office, thus just left the trailer in a residential yard next to another one. Vanessa was friendly & helpful but not forthcoming with a check in rcpt or any paperwork for that matter!. I question weather these trailers get serviced or inspected properly. The 5x8 trailer with the ramp was excellent. The best we've ever had. Will request one with a ramp again when needing one.

The trailer had an old golf cart loaded in it. The owner wasn’t there and I had to call the owner to come get the cart removed so I could take the trailer. It delayed me 30 minutes. I also did NOT sign up for insurance and I was charged $8 anyways….very deceptive practice

I was charged for furniture pads I never was given. I have a refund for the furniture pads but waiting on refund of over $100 for furniture pads the U-Haul charged me for pads I never received

They changed our order without our knowledge. We did not realize until we saw the higher and extra charges. Now, we are having to file a dispute. This is completely unacceptable that a facility can change someone's order!!!

After several tries to find a place to return the trailer in SC, I finally found this place. It is basically a field with an old building. The owner was friendly, but unhelpful.

This place was scary. Dogs were running around barking, and I could hardly understand the man who came out of the barn to see what we were doing there. If there hadn’t been other Uhaul trailers parked, I would have left without unhitching and found another drop off location. He mumbled that he’d take care of checking in the trailer but I later received an email from UHaul stating the trailer hadn’t been returned yet. I had to drive back to this location, take pictures and return it myself due to his incompetence.

The tow Dolly was virtually in usable. Both ratchets were so corroded that it took an hour of effort to unroll them at the pickup site. The ramps also were not lubricated taking extreme effort to get them extended. After spending two hours on site getting the tie downs released and the ramps extended I gave up attempting to load the car fearful that the ramps and ratchets would not work properly once the vehicle was loaded. I returned the Dolly to the rental shop. And informed the worker of the situation. He just shrugged his shoulders and I left in disgust. I feel like I should be reimbursed for a worthless rental.

The place looked really sketchy. There was nobody around when we arrived to return it yet there was trash burning in a barrel on site. Called the number on the paperwork and were told by the woman that answered that "I don't need to be there, just leave it". Only problem was we couldn't get it off our trailer hitch. There was nobody to help us and my brother injured his back trying to lift it off the hitch by hand. NEVER USE THIS LOCATION

Returned the truck. And the truck was not checked in until days later. There is noone available when returning the truck. The site looks like a junk yard.

We turned the truck in on Monday at 10am... an hour before the required check-in. I received an email the next day indicating it had not been returned. I was a little concerned and call your 800 number to get this cleared up. I'm not sure what happened, but am glad UHaul now knows we returned the 15' truck.

Showed up for drop off and this rude gentleman came from behind the building from his rundown stationary rv. Then was rude to me asking if I was “the 907 drop?” Like I’m supposed to know what that means. Then forced me to park the trailer in a specific way so he didn’t have to cut the grass. I was very concerned with my drop and didn’t get checked as returned until the next day

The lady there was friendly and tried to be helpful but the man, Robert, who I have dealt with twice now is not friendly or helpful and is very rude. He doesn't acknowledge you, speak to you or respond to you even when you simply say thank you and acts annoyed that you are even there.

This drop off location was a huge trash heap! The guy there kept complaining about too much inventory of Uhaul equipment and yes they did have a huge amount of it. He told me where to put the car transport and left! No help at all! I had to back into an area that was full of Uhaul stuff and got eat up with fireants. Stunk! Plus my initial quote was different and I was charged MORE! Yeah, no way I would recommend Uhaul for anything in the future.

The guy refused to take the trailer drop off until I called UHaul. He said that he didn’t have any room and that UHaul doesn’t pay him to take these in. After driving 30 minutes out of my way to drop off at the closest site, it was very disappointing to hear that from him

This location is a scam place they are still going hold my money. I returned my equipment on 07-23-2022 I only used it for 6 hours and the lady charge me if I had it for almost 2 months. Scam!!! Uhaul has still my money $1428.35 dollars!! This is a disappointment out the company for trusting people like this I will sue both of you ( the company and the third party lady ) if my money isn’t back. Y account is now negative because of y’all.

I reserved 12 moving pads. They did not have 12 moving pads nor did they bother to get them for me. I called ahead to ensure these items would be available as they were important for my move.

The on-site rep, who I found only after walking around the building twice while repeated calling “Hello”, was grumpy and unhelpful. Once he got trailer hitch on ball, he just walked away without checking to see if I wanted help with electrical hookup or safety chains or if hookup was safe. OTOH, the phone rep who helped with reservation was friendly and professional.

Gentleman was rude, not cooperative and generally angry. Made me park the trailer in an inhospitable field , without helping me park the trailer as he had pointed where to leave it and brusquely walked away. I was forced to then un-hitch the trailer and when I was done , I asked for a receipt , and was told “I aint got nothing to do with that” baked a phone number at me and told me to call them! Great service for an overpriced Trailer!!

Owner was mostly interested in bitching about how U Haul needed to move some trailers off his lot - did nothing to check in equipment - park it over there & went inside, , had to call customer service because contract was never completed

This location was in the middle of nowhere on a muddy lot with no office and very difficult even find anyone that could help in delivering (checking over the equipment and helping with the delivery process. The person who I finally located acted like he was doing me a favor to accept the trailer. He did finally helped remove the trailer from the hitch.

No Uhaul person on-site. A mechanic gave me a number to call and I spoke with someone who “checked me out”. Ridiculous. I will never rent there again.

The person at the lot knew nothing of our utility trailer reservation. We had to call the manager ourselves. First piece of equipment we went to get was damaged. The second one that we hooked up had no safety chain, but we were already late due to the excessive length of time it took to process the rental, so we used it, but felt unsafe doing so. We won’t rent here again.

The drop off location was ok, it was a Saturday and I did find someone who could direct me to where they wanted the trailer to be placed… there were a lot of trailers and not a lot of available places to park the trailer.
