Long story, very concerning location and lack of support received. This location needs to be scrutinized to ensure u haul reputation and also prevent potential litigation. I hurt my medically fused back because I had to try to lift the 6x12 trailer due to lack of support. The person I dealt with didn’t know I was coming, I walked in to him and several other people sitting around listening to music. I told him I was there to pick up the 6x12 trailer and he’s said “ oh that one, go ahead and take it”. I asked him if I needed to sign anything. He said “ no your good”. Then he left. I went back to the door to ask for help lifting the trailer, but it was now locked. I tried to lift the trailer to truck on my own and hurt my back. I then went around to the back side of the building which I knew was open, from when I first entered. At this time the person that was my initial contact acted surprised I needed help getting the trailer attached to the truck. He then helped me and it was all we could do together to pick it up, further hurting my back. I then hooked up the wiring, and noticed the lock for the trailer did not look right, I had to ask him if it was locked to the ball. He said no, then proceeded to set the lock. After that I had to ask him to check my tail lights and break lights. What a joke. I cant believe what happened there, I have a three phase fusion in my back and am injured. I am not sure what I will do next, but have never experienced anything like this before with a reputable company like u haul.
