There were two people working with customers when I arrived. I was greeted by both and made to feel welcome as I waited for other customers to finish. The transaction was fast and efficient. The man who checked in my order was thorough and even found some ways to save me some money. I will absolutely return for future needs.

Worst experience ever. First, I scheduled to pick up the vehicle at 9:00 AM, and the person that ran the office showed up at 9:40 and did not care at all that I was in a serious time crunch. I scheduled a 20' truck, a furniture dolly, a utility dolly, and a 10-pack of furniture pads. None of which were available. I was "upgraded" to a 26' truck which a) takes a ton more gas to drive it and b) I did not have enough to even remotely fill it so because we didn't have furniture pads a lot of my belongings were ruined. I had hired help to load the truck, and scheduled for them to arrive at 10:00 AM - which they did. But, because the location for pick-up was 7800 SOUTH (and I'm 3300 NORTH) in Chicago (20-minute drive with no traffic) - we did not arrive at my place to load the truck until 10:45. The help I hired is $120 an hour and I had them scheduled for two hours. We went over the time limit and they had to move their next job back an hour because of this situation. Driving a 26' truck was horrifying. I have tried to call U-Haul customer service for TWO WEEKS and have not been able to get through to ANYONE - even waiting on hold for over an hour on a few different occasions. There is not a space for me to talk to anyone about the "upgrade" or the items missing from the rental that I needed. To make this easier for you to understand: I am very angry at what time I finally got my rental, I am very upset that I was not able to get the items that I had reserved, I am very angry that the man that showed up did not have any sense of urgency, I've lost items in the move because the furniture pads were not provided, I am very upset that I had to pay more to the help that I hired to help us load the truck because of the late start, I am very upset that I was given a 26' truck because it takes a lot more gas to drive it and considering its size, was far too large for what I needed. I need to get this settled with you and the insurance so I can get my money back and money back from insurance for the items that were lost or damaged. Someone needs to get into contact with me to settle this situation.

I rented from you a while back and I really thought or recall I had unlimited mileage but my mileage was high for .99 a mile and the increase in taxes took my to an additional $50.00 that was really high. So help your customers to keep renting but help us in the area of rates and taxes. Thank you

I reserved a 9” cargo van and when I showed up to get the van the guy told me someone else had my reservation. Uhaul does not ask people to verify ANY information. I do not understand how someone else was under my reservation and why the guy didn't make sure it was the right reservation.

Unless you have been through the online pic up before & comfortable with it. I could not reach CS & a representative from the 71st street location took the time to walk me through the process. It was over an hour before I could secure the keys & complete the pic up process. Not user friendly for people who r not familiar with yr process. My return went bent better, because I had an human interaction on site.

All the trucks are dirty, storefront stinks, and employees don't even know how to work the POS for truck rentals. i'm an employee of Uhaul and had to argue w the person at this location to give me my discount and still wasn't given it.

Communication skills, poor. Having the “it is what it is” after that poor skill is unacceptable also. If I make a reservation for something and you know it's unavailable the day before my appointment, why not reach out to customers to inform them of their options? Storage unit: I had a literal dead mouse on my furniture, mouse droppings, etc. Everytime I would come, there would be more droppings. I would recommend anyone storing their furniture there. It will be damaged

I had requested 6 moving blankets, but when I picked up the truck, the place told me they didn't have any. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have them. Besides that, I had a good experience using UHaul. Thanks for the opportunity to use your truck.

Offer clients road side insurance. I accidentally licked the keys in the uhaul and had to call a locksmith because uhaul doesn't have spare keys! It costexme $140.00 that I really didn't have to spare. Other than that, 4 stars.

The older man that was at the counter the 1st time I rented (Thursday) was very nice but very slow and the younger gentlemen that was at the counter the 2nd time (Monday) I rented was rude, mean and mad! He make a joke that I found really rude and discriminatory!

The only problem that I had was, the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Meaning that Corporate office phone number gave me reservation for the time that the place was closing where I had Plan to pick up A Van and store my items there I receive phone calls wondering why I didn't get the truck or Van. But that following Tuesday everything went almost like clockwork, Besides a little mix up, Everything was OK thank you.

The location can use some sprucing up but it's easy to pull into the lot and the office is visible & easy to get to. The CS Agent at location John, is friendly & paitent with customers. He made the process easy. I will come to this location when I need a Van. The diffrent national agents I spoke to on the phone were able to assist me quickly, resolve questions and get my reservation set up and confirmed by email. To improve U Haul service ---clarify at all levels of CS how time is or is not prorated like the mileage. Specific example: Question if I rent truck for three days but complete project early and bring it back next day---- Will I be charged for 3 days or prorated to just the one day? If it is clear that my reserved days are prorated to actual days used then I would not have to keep extending contract rather than reserve for say 3 or 4 days up front. Thanks again for great service otherwise.

The CS Clerk was quick, friendly and explained everything well. The building is a kind of scary looking with an abandoned wrecked car in front of it which should be removed. I would be afraid to go there as a storage location. Half of the property looks abandoned. The office is easily accessible on the ground floor. Getting picking up and returning with the truck was easy.

RE: Contract #29620816 I was overcharged for fuel. The representative John noted on the contract that the fuel was incorrect on the contract and said it would be corrected when the truck was checked in, but it was not. I've been trying to get the issued resolved with the location, but they haven't made the adjustment.
