Not sure who the owner was but I imagine it was the fellow slouching at his desk hidden away on the back room who was disinterested in helping me help him to get the trailer checked in... it seemed he was asking questions of me to be difficult rather than to get to my needs and check the trailer in. As for his apparent helper that was outside doing some sort of cleanup work around the Uhaul vehicles, he walked around me several times without acknowledgement as I took action to begin a self-guided check-in. Then it seemed he got involved with his cleanup work, I came to a stopping point and went over to him to ask for help, he continued with his work keeping his back to me as I patiently waited 5-10 feet from him for an agonizing 2-3 minutes. Approaching the three-minute mark I tried to make verbal contact but got no response. That's when I walked in to contact someone inside the building as mentioned above. After not receiving help from the person inside the building, I finished check-in by myself. As I was completing my check-in, the inside attendant approached and said "I wished you hadn't put it there." I was done and outta there.

The truck was not available on the time scheduled and the whole place was locked down and not open for business. We were on a time crunch anyway and so it made for a stressful day. When we came back later to get the truck the attendant was rude and acted like it was our fault that he was late.

The location is blocked by a chain across the entrance even though it is supposed to be 24 hour drop-off. I contacted the location the next day and they said, "It's ok to just leave the trailer on the road outside the chain." I did not feel comfortable doing that. When my husband dropped it off the next day he said that it was very shady and didn't feel comfortable for me to drop it off myself there alone.

Overall experience good. However, I take exception to be charged $5.70 for fuel, for a total of 4.6 miles. Acknowledging that it would have cost me more to drive and find a gas station to add fuel. But $5.70 is excessive for this distance. I have pics of actual fuel gauge, there is only the slightest of movement.

They charged me an extra $21 on gas that despite it being at the level required to bring it back. I took pictures of the fuel meter before and after. The representative was also rude as well.

The truck wasn't set up correctly when I went to pick it up. I had other obligations and had to leave and come back later. It took several phone calls to correct. By the time it was set up correctly it was dark and I couldn't see all the red dirt inside the truck. The location is dark and I didn't feel safe. The app for after hours pick up kept saying no network connection even with 4 bars from my carrier, it took forever to get the pics uploaded and get my code to have access to the key.

The 'office' was dirty and cluttered, disgusting actually. The u-haul sign sits OFF the main road and was maybe one foot by one foot. We drove by the place twice before finally seeing it due to no signage. The man was courteous and helpful, but the surroundings leave room for improvement. We will rent from u-haul again, however it will be a different location.

The inside of the cab was dirty: the windshield, inside and out, the floor had spilled drink, the dash, cup holders, seats....everything was sticky, dirty, grungy

Let me start by saying I just had surgery on my collarbone. So I am one arming everything slowly. I call the location to verify pickup and time. Ask if I can come early. He says no problem he gets there between 8:30 and 9. I said awesome I'll see you around that time. I show up with my dad whose dropping me off. Walk in and stand in front of him for a min or two. He then answered his phone had a conversation. Hung up. Did something on his computer. Then answered his phone again had another conversation. Hung up. A minute later said you the one going to Texas..... we stood there for over 5 min without any acknowledgment bad start but gets worse. I also ordered blanked and two dolly's. We ask if everything was already loaded he said no we have to get two Dolly's from behind us and get the blankets out of a car. It was pouring rain out side I have one arm..... he pulled up the truck. My dad took the Dolly's and loaded them into the truck while he unlocked a wrecked car in front of the building. He grabbed his umbrella and started handing me the blankets to load them. I just had surgery and he could clearly see my left arm was ina stabilizer.. he stood at the car door under the umbrella handing me at couple and my dad a bunch We were soaked and unimpressed and had no clue if w me had got the right amount of blankets as he was pulling them one at a time out of the car. So now I'm soaked. All the blankets are we. I'm in pain. He just walked off. We had already done the paper work. I was very pissed but had moved on the clock headed to my house. The truck was great. The trip was fine. I returned it. They were nice at jjs auto. I'm still mad and want a call back

The guy there needs to give out correct information. I had to secure the deposit with my debit card and paid with cash. I asked him when the funds would be put back on my debit card it's not going to take like 7-10 days is it? He said no it should be back on there in just a minute if not by midnight. Here we are the next day and still no funds released back to my debit card.

Scammed me on my deposit stating that I did not fill the tank up like it previously was. Extra charges, fees. BS If I were you I would take a pic of the gas before and after you use it. Beware!

Paul is great, but this particular truck was garbage. The power steering barely worked, the truck struggled shifting and wasted way more gas than needed, and it rained in TX this morning which exposed leaks in the cargo area. I for some reason cannot seem to have a smooth experience with U-Haul, so I'll go ahead and assume it's just bad luck on my part and look elsewhere next time. Also, air fresheners would go a long way. This truck cab smelled like someone moved a petting zoo after a rainstorm in it. A 20ft truck shouldn't handle, shift, turn, or use more gas than a 26ft, right?

Far cry from clean and inviting!!!! This is a salvage junk yard!!!! Creepy and nasty! The inside of this office is even trashed and partially vacated. Literally! The guy doesn't have a great bed side manner. Came across as unfriendly. We dropped the truck off with the exact amount of gasoline as when we picked it up. He said the contract said 1/4 full, but the owner at Full Throttle (pickup location) said it was just under 1/4. I couldn't confirm what was on the contract, as Full Throttle couldn't print me a contract and I had no data service in his area to pull up an email. I thought he changed it, I trusted him! DO NOT TRUST U-HAUL, FULL THROTTLE OR SOUTHWESTERN AUTOMOTIVE!!!! This guy said he just had to speak to owner at Full Throttle and it would be resolved. He didn't follow up with him, it isn't resolved! I am being charged $85 for what would have been another $2 to move to 1/4. which it wasn't on when picked up!! They have now taken the last $2.51 out of my account (this account is strictly for shit like this, they will not get another dime.) $30 of this charge is a late payment fee!? I paid upon pickup, how is this late????? No one has returned my calls! This will be posted on every social media website as well as the review page for Southwestern Automotive!!

The man is lying about the gas. I return truck with more gas in than it was when I got it. He claim I went 37 miles dont believe. My truck follow the uhaul and not even 37 miles on mine. I will never use this location dishonest man

Upgrade the facility being used for rental. It was an automotive repair or holding area. Entrance not clearly marked of where to go for renting U-Haul trucks, trailers etc..No place to sit when waiting to have truck checked in, dirty floors, not carpeted, office was a mess and rental person was learning how to trade stocks each time I went in.

This place is a dump! If I hadn't needed to rent a truck to help my granddaughter move I would have gone somewhere else. This place was full of junk cars and trash. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Oh and I'm being kind with my comments....

Location is im old garage. No one there to greet you. Person was all the way in the back of the garage. Honestly was scared to go in. Upon returning equipment the chain was up so I had to hop the chain and drop the keys and contracts. And had to leave the truck outside the chain I was worried about something happening to the truck.

Send texts to me if you cant leave a voicemail, and be open on sundays for truck returns so i dont get charged for having a truck an extra day and answer the phone when i call!

We needed to rent a car dolly in Oklahoma City. Apparently the only one in the entire town was at this location. We reserved it over the phone and said we would be heading right over to pick it up. This was at approximately 9:15. When we arrived at the location it was not open. The place looked more like a junkyard than a Uhaul facility. We waited for about 20 minutes and called the reservation line and were told that this location did not open until 11 am. We went and had breakfast and came back just a few minutes after 11 and there was still nobody there. Finally at 11:20 someone showed up. We were taken through a dirty, junky building to a small office in the back to complete the paperwork so we could finally be on our way around noon. This was not what I would expect from Uhaul and I would definitely not recommend this location to anyone!

First place had truck, but broke down. Sent to second one and it was hard to find the person and had no appliance dolly. I was sent to third place for the dolly and then had an extra charge for mileage.

This auto repair shop was open but no one was around. There was no drywall on several parts of the interior. It was very dirty and frankly rather scary. I had to walk through the entire place trying to find someone to help me. When he had to call us with a question he was very rude and unpleasant.

I went to Southwestern Automotive. This guy was confident and efficient. It was a pleasure to rent from him. I thanked him and said some places are a nightmare. He responded he has heard that. I give them five stars. Please investigate the OG Foodmart in OKC , OK. Other searches say "closed permanently". Your website is the only one listing them as in business. When I called to confirm the day before he said "they will try to find one". The phone was crackly, couldn't hear him or understand him. He called back 5 minutes later and said they are still trying to find one. I told him I'll go somewhere else. I found one within 5 minutes. These are the places that give Uhaul a bad reputation.

The facility was old and creepy. I had to walk through a long shop building, while calling out to anyone who could hear me for fear of being shot in this huge automotive, old, shop. The owner had no clue that I had even reserved a uhaul nor was he friendly or helpful in any manner at all.

Says they are opened until five. Got there at 4:30 closed. So, I dropped off trailer. Took pictures and tried to call next day. No answer or no answering machine. So, I want to make sure they receive it in there system. I have to work and go through the process with uhaul can take longer process than I can do while at work. Thank you

There was no one there when I went to drop it off at 9 am (when they open). There were other people waiting as well. I came back 15 minutes later, the office looked open so I walked it and it is not an office, it's just a warehouse full of junk. I just left the key in the drop box. As I was leaving a man walks out and just asked what I want, I told him I was dropping off a truck and he just grabbed the keys out of the drop box and walked towards the truck... This company has very poor customer service

I had trouble getting my equipment returned at first, I went to 89 auto moving/89 food mart and he wanted to charge me another $50 for having a dirty truck. I spent thirty minutes dealing with him and he wanted to tell me he was trying to do me a favor. This was after I had reserved a 26 ft truck in Colorado Springs, I had to settle for a 20 ft truck and 5x8 trailer but actually ended up with a 17 ft truck and a 5x8 trailer. Except for the people who I picked up from and the drop off location I ended up working out myself everything else was rediculous and always inconvenienced me without any consideration made for me and my move. I was expected to accommodate someone else and just absorb the extra cost of fuel and wear and tear and potentially more cost in cleaning a truck on the outside. The customer service side of this whole process for me was terrible except for the drop off and pick up locations themselves. I believe there should absolutely be something done by uhaul to compensate me and my family for our continued surrender of our preferences and expectations to allow uhaul to be our moving truck company.

I recommend requiring that the equipment is inspected by the U-Haul representative at the drop off location after it has been dropped off and before assigning it to another customer so that any repairs can be fixed by the U-Haul company to help keep their customers safe on the road.

The operator was rude and unhappy. No lights in the yard. Did not answer phone. Would not come to front desk. Would not answer me in yard. One of the rudest people I have ever met. Would not give me back a signed contract. Told me to go back the trailer in myself... Are you kidding? Budget here I come!
