Had to wait 15 minutes for the representative to get there when i had already did my order online days prior. My reservation was set for 10 a.m but when i got there noone was there. Once he opened the back door of the truck,leaves got in, due to how close the truck was park to the bushes. I usually use the u-haul rental company on deckard blvd,i should have used them this time as well because they are always nice and get me in and out quickly.

The person Jim polley Was actually very rude. His person that was working the front desk apologize for him… But not only was he rude and short with my husband and I. He explained that the company U-Haul did not know what they were doing and that I needed to trust him. He said that although we had an invoice in an email from U-Haul that meant nothing to him. I can fill in more details if you would like to give us a call. I would never ever frequent that person’s was actually very rude. I can fill in more details if you would like to give us a call. I would never ever frequent that person’s u-Haul again. I must say the administration woman recommended that we go down the street and ask for help from the true U-Haul place which we did. They were very kind and apologize for the storage place and it said they had heard that before. We did appreciate their help… And would like to make sure to put in a good word on their behalf. I tried to call U-Haul and was on hold for almost 30 minutes and had to finally hang up. This establishment is not someone you want representing your company.

my original pickup location Sandhills Storage, was not open at the time I went to pick up my truck. Nor did it open during the 50 minutes I was there. The national customer service line however got my reservation switched to this location. The people at Spring Valley Storage were friendly and prompt. The location and truck were clean and helped make my moving day better. Thank you to the staff of Spring Valley Storage.

1. El estacionamiento es inclinado. 2. No hay anclaje para el trailer (esto hizo que le trailer golpeara mi auto y lo rayo). 3. No ya personal para que desenganche el trailer. Porque el cliente que paga por el alquiler tiene que desenganchar el trailer????!!! Frustrante........Hay que usar entonces a PENSKE!!

The employee had several problems with the "new" system and navigating the website for checkin. there were no rental blankets at this pick up location and we were told there might be some left in the trailer that people leave!? Then she tried to charge us $25 for some insurance and didn't even tell us about it until i asked why the final cost was more expensive than we were told upon making the reservation. then she didn't know how to remove said $25 charge from our bill. After figuring it out we processed the payment and then she couldn't print us a receipt. She didn't have the printer turned on nor did she know how to print it. She then apparently called a 1800 number for uhaul to get directions on how to print a receipt and still couldn't do it and said one was mailed to you that should be ok. After that she then sent us out to get the trailer. We hooked up the trailer and inspected etc ourselves she NEVER went out to the trailer. We then had to go to another Uhaul location to get a printed receipt and the rental blankets. Not to mention it took us 1 HR to pick up the 5x8 trailer we already had a reservation for and then still go to another location. Was NOT at all happy with this location and would recommend you all discontinuing this as an acceptalbe location to rent trailers from.

This location was closed on Sunday and there was no drop box that could be located there, Couldn't tell which store or business in the plaza was Uhaul. Was not comfortable leaving the trailer there had to call the place that I got the trailer from to make sure it was ok to leave it there.

I enjoyed using this location as well as the location at 8400 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29223 U-Haul Moving & Storage of Spring Valley (I've always received great help at this location). These locations are top notch in my experiences with U-Haul!

I believe you should offer a discount to senior citizens, Triple A and to AARP customers.

They wasn't very friendly, We had to pay extra deposit on a one way rental, which didn't make since! He couldn't explain why, I wasn't happy about that.

My online order was not correct. I ordered a 17 ft truck, I got a 15 ft truck. I ordered insurance, it had to be added. I ordered moving pads. There were none. I had to go around town to get them. Very bad experience overall.

Clerk was overly talkative about everything except our intended purpose. Vehicle was dirty - windshield encrusted with bugs. The clerk did nothing about about it, even after it was brought to his attention.

The truck was not clean. There was a good bit of dirt on the floor, so it obviously wasn't swept after the last use. My paperwork showed a half tank of gas but it was really a bit under a half. When I went by the office to inform the attendant, he had already left to take the lock off a storage unit I also rented that day.

My experience was horrible they didn't have the truck at the location I was supposed to get it from then they didn't have the dolly at all that I needed and on top of that they charged my card for way more then they said

The truck that I rented did not start when I picked it up. The truck had to be jumped off. Then when I finished unpacking the truck and went to start it to return it, the truck again did not start. I called and the store rep stated they (he and she) contacted U-Haul but no assistance came. I walked in the store 2 days later and while in the store, the location rep called U-Haul and he was advised that it was the customers responsibility to call Road-side assistance to get the truck started and returned. I was in the store when the U-Haul rep disconnected the call by hanging up the phone. It was another day before a U-Haul repair truck came to my address to get the truck started. I will never use U-Haul again and I will pass this experience along to others as I was not compensated in anyway for this mishap and the awful customer service. Thank you

Reserved Truck was unserviced at pick up time, it was requering oil change on dash. ( how long has this old oil been in this truck? It made me very uncomfortable to travel using this truck- they had no other on the specific size on the lot). Reserved furniture pads which were NOT in the truck, nor any was available at the facility. The attendant lady ( Marie) had ME go into the other trucks on the lot to look for pads. .... still NONE were found. Now, she had me and my wife drive to another u-haul facility to get the pads. This whole process delayed us for a whole hour! When we requested some form of financial compensation for our time and troubles - the lady ( Marie ) was unprofessional about it and pretended she was not understanding what we were requesting. Due to this unforseen delay, I Had to pay extra cash to the crew that was waiting at my home to help load , as well as to the person watching my kids. Do I need to say that this experience at this particular facility was a disaster ?!?! Never had one problem with other u-haul rentals in the past. Will NEVER use nor recommend this location again.

I felt that the staff was very uninformed and lazy. I hooked the equipment up myself with no offer for assistance. They handed me my contract and pointed me to the trailer. They showed no care or concern for myself or the other customer who was present. I will not recommend this location to anyone.

I did not select this location and I was not notified about the change ahead of time. I had to drive to a different location, the equipment wasn't ready, the owner didn't know how to check me in, and he argued with me about how far I would be traveling that day. I also learned, later, that he should have told me how to buy the right amount of gas to arrive with a 7/8 full tank; he never explained it to me; I ended up buying a full tank of gas; and I learned the correct procedure from the branded company store where I dropped it off. I chose the U-Haul at 8400 Two Notch on purpose. I chose them because they are experienced, they have plenty of extras to rent and buy if I need it, and they know what they're doing. I am very displeased that U Haul moved my pickup to a different location--I would not have rented from the 9005 location. I checked in online. If you wanted to move me to a new location, then you should notify me when I check in. I do not want the independent store--I want the branded company store. If you can't let us determine where to pick up, then I will not book online any more. I will book directly with the company-branded store. That was terrible.

At first sight the truck appeared to be clean but once my my item started to be loaded we discovered someone elses glass mirror had been left on thr truck. Also there was a sticky residue that got on some of my items. We had to stop and try to clean it. I wish the truck was checked a little better before rented out

I requested during the online rental process that 3 doz. blankets and 2 moving dollies be provided to me. When I got to Spring Valley Storage they did not have the blankets and they did not have the dollies. I was told I would have to go up to the next U-Haul facility and get them there. What happened to customer service? Why didn't the people at Spring Valley Storage go get the blankets and the dollies and bring them to their location and provide them to me there instead of telling me to go elsewhere. Furthermore, the person renting me the truck simply gave me the contract, told me little or nothing, did not assist me to the truck, made me put the appliance dolly on the truck and then I basically inspected it myself. U-Haul used to have great customer service. You have failed to maintain that over the years. The next time I need a truck to rent, I will go elsewhere and tell my friends the same.

Location is impacted by a fire in October, so offices were in trailers, but that is no excuse for limited supplies and very slow service.

Terrible place. They should not be allowed to rent out u hauls. They did not hook up the chains on the trailer correctly, he did not tighten up the ball adjustment until I reminded him, then when we realized my light hook up was the wrong kind he told me to head down to Walmart to get an adapter...with the trailer. He actually let me take the trailer with no working lights. I went 2 miles down the road to another U Haul location were they sold me the proper adapter and checked and fixed all the things wrong with the initial hook up.

It would have been very helpful to know how many extra miles were given to compensate for a pick-up location that is further away. I was given 15 extra miles for having to drive to the other side of town to pick-up the truck but was never notified of this until contacting u-haul customer service specifically inquiring about it.

I picked the truck up and returned it the same day. I recv a very rude call from one of your store mgr. Saying what are you doing with the truck and why is it not back instead of calling the location that I got the truck from..

The guy in charge needs to learn better manners, he took a personal phone call while waiting on me, and threatened to not rent me the truck when I expressed displeasure. The truck was dirty and unswept, with trash in the cab. Also I was charged for equipment I did not request and did not recived. I also was not called about a location change>

I had actually rented online from another closer location. When i called the other location, they said they had no record of my rental. I had to call the 800 number to find out where my rental was. so, once i located my rental everything was OK. However I felt I should be notified by U-Haul about the location change rather than having to spend my time trying to find where it was.

I was assigned this location by UHaul. When I went to pick up the trailer, they would not hook up the trailer to my car. I was told that their liability insurance does not cover hooking up the trailer. I tried to get help over the phone from U-Haul but that was useless. When I asked for my money back, I was told it is impossible to give refunds. I wish another company rented trailers because I would use them. It would not be difficult to improve on customer service. This whole process wasted over an hour of my time.
